The place was wonderful! My guests were impressed with the house and the yard. We had a great time barbequing in the evening, as the colored lights lit up the area and made it so festive. Moreover, I highly recommend the Rip Van Wrinkle Gardens just 8 minutes away...a great nature trail & such exotic peacocks!! All in all a positive experience and no complaints.

Perfect location to our work area and was a true home away from home. Everything was just as described/pictured and we had everything we needed. 10/10 recommend will stay again!

This is our second time staying in this beautiful Victorian house in New Iberia, LA. It is the most incredible place we've stayed at. We absolutely love the house, the beautiful yard overlooking the bayou, and the cute town. We found that the management is very responsive and communicates very well, which has made our trip fantastic. We hope to have the chance to stay there again next Spring Break.

We loved our stay at Down da Bayou Lodge! Its location is perfect. You feel like you’re in the country but town is just a little ways from you. There’s plenty of things to do nearby but the best part of it is you can fish and crab right in the canal behind the house. There was also plenty of wildlife to see right there too. Jeremy and Stephanie are amazing hosts. They sent detailed instructions and expectations the day before check-in. Once we were there, we had questions and they responded right away. We will definitely return! Thank you so much for an amazing week!!!

All I can say is WOW! This home is more Beautiful in person and the pictures do not do it justice. My Daddy passed away and me, my siblings and our children all live out of town/state so we needed a place to all gather for his services. This home is located between Lafayette and New Iberia and you can get to it from Hwy 90 and Hwy 182. The Homeowners introduced themselves and were so helpful with anything we needed and even brought us a Fresh King Cake. After booking this home I reached out to the Host Dustin for items that were needed and he was very helpful as well. Everything in the home worked and was extremely clean. The layout of the home and property is amazing. We had children playing in the game room and adults in the main house which worked out great. The beds are very comfortable and have quality linen. Even though we were all there for a Sad time, this home was Perfect and very comforting. We even talked about booking it again in the Summer for a Family reunion. Thank you

It was exactly what I was looking for. Family of 10, it was very spacious and the birds and creatures made the best music. Would definitely stay again

We had a wonderful visit. It was exactly like the photos and better. We especially loved their large, shaded backyard that back right up to the Bayou Teche. Great furnishings. The beds were comfortable and the claw foot bathtub was a nice touch. Near some great attractions: Jefferson Island, Avery Island, antique shopping in Franklin. Great location outside of town. Would absolutely stay here again!

We were really big dans of the place. So many cute antiques and art. Every corner is something to discover. I would say it was top 3 Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at in our long list of Airbnb rentals. It’s fully equipped kitchen so we had so much to work with, with our group. This isn’t a bare bones property:

Le lieu est magnifique au bord de l eau, seul les oiseaux faisaient trop de bruit 🤪 l hébergement est typique de la région et est également dans son jus 😀 la note un peu faible pour la propreté correspond a une taie d'oreiller toute trouée et la poussière sous le lit mais la salle de bain et le reste étaient très correcte. Le lieu est vraiment très agréable et Abbie très a l écoute !

This was our first Airbnb experience and we can only hope the ones to follow can measure up. The accommodations were great, the hosts were so very wonderful, the hospitality of everyone we met this weekend was something we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with great pizza and beer within a stones throw across the front lawn, this is the place. Or You can sit on the porch and listen to live music, eat your pizza and drink your choice of beer or tropical drink complete with tiny umbrella. Renea and Byron went above and beyond to make us feel like family. We plan on bringing the kayaks and paddling down the bayou on our next trip. Also only a few hundred yards to the dock from the cabin. Really cool place and people.

We loved the peacefulness and the tranquillity of the place. It was the perfect place to come home to after a hectic day. My sister being from up north was thrilled to see the local wild life. We will definitely be back!!
