Awesome place to stay.

This was hands down the greatest trip we’ve ever taken. We brought our 78 year old uncle, a lifelong fishing enthusiast, to Bayou Life to celebrate his birthday, and watching his joy every single day made this experience absolutely priceless. First off, the home is stunning. The pictures don’t come close to capturing how beautiful, comfortable, and well-stocked it is. It had everything we could possibly need, and more. Mornings with coffee on either of the two upper balconies were pure serenity. Evenings watching the sun melt into the river with a glass of wine or bourbon (yes, we had both) while pulling in fresh crabs from the five traps off your private dock, it was like something out of a movie. If that was the final scene of my life, I’d go!Morgan, the host, the legend. Most connected man in Louisiana. He had crab traps set, shrimp waiting helped arrange fish charter that pick up from the dock and crab tour. Same dock we caught several black drum over 30 lbs and monster catfish!

Very beautiful home and very clean! Love the view and easy to access.

Nice place with a great location. A few minor things that could improve but we’d stay again and probably will. The kitchen could benefit from a teapot of some sort. Cooking utensils were sparse. The bedrooms could use some side lamps. Overall, very nice place.

I live in a different state now, but I'm originally from the New Orleans Westbank area, so "On Bayou Time" was a great place to stay while visiting "home." The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, and the drive through Lafitte and Barataria has the most beautiful scenery, if you love the view of the raw Southern Louisiana landscape, such as hundred year old Oak trees covered in Spanish Moss and wooded areas covered in palmettos. The house was like home away from home, with a kitchen that had all the utensils you needed to make an at-home meal. The bathrooms had fluffy towels and plenty extras (q-tips, cotton balls, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash). The beds were real beds (king, queen, full and twin, not just a ton of bunkbeds), and they were pretty comfy. Wish we could have stayed longer. FYI...If you love seafood, be sure to visit Salvo's in Belle Chasse. They have a different all-you-can-eat seafood every night of the week!

A Hidden Gem in Lafitte, LA As a visitor from across the country, I can confidently say that our stay at this charming Airbnb in Lafitte, LA, was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest Southern hospitality from our fantastic host, Keary. He truly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the stunning dock! We spent countless hours soaking up the sun, enjoying the peaceful views, and even spotted some local wildlife. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening sunsets, making our getaway feel truly special. Overall, our experience in Lafitte was unforgettable, and this Airbnb played a huge part in that. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful surroundings, comfortable accommodations, and incredible hospitality from Keary, look no further. I can’t wait to return! The state was perfect out great for auntie needs and boat slip access great views very peaceful and quiet

If you like privacy and outdoor / water activities this is the place for you. The property is very private and large and the house is big as well. The bed is super comfy and I had such an amazing and relaxing time sitting on the porch. Only downsides are it can be too windy occasionally to sit and eat outside and birds might use your car for target practice if you know what I mean but that comes with staying on the water. Overall very worth it and I would stay here again and I recommend it HIGHLY

We flew down from Illinois to celebrate my brother’s birthday. The house and location were great! The boys fished off the dock and took the kayak and paddle boat out. We all enjoyed sitting on the back porch. Brooke’s place was very clean and we all adored the decorations! We will definitely be planning another trip!
