Das Airbnb befindet sich super idyllisch in den Bergen - dadurch war dir Anreise recht schwierig (sehr schlechte, enge Straßen). Dafür wird man mit wunderbarer Ruhe belohnt! Das Haus und vor allem die Aussicht ist wunderschön, das Sahnehäubchen ist aber der private Koch, der uns kulinarisch verwöhnt hat. Die Kommunikation mit Jay und vorallem auch Anu war super. Wenn man Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, ist man hier genau richtig!!

Definitely recommend, we stayed for 2 nights. He was a gracious host and provided us with tea and biscuits. The steep climb to reach house was a bit challenging for slightly older group (60 years) but nothing to worry about. He was very helpful, nice and always happy to help.

We had the most relaxed stay at the Loft - it’s perfect if you want to experience pure Sri Lankan rural bliss! Hareen is an incredibly thoughtful and attentive host, making communication and arrangements seamless. Once there, caretaker Mahinda and cook Suneetha continue this warmth. Suneetha’s authentic Sri Lankan food is the best I’ve had - even as a local. She cooks full meals effortlessly, and Mahinda is always ready to help. The loft itself, styled like a traditional village home, is nestled in nature - ideal for birdwatchers. The view of the nearby lake and surrounding paddy fields is stunning, though it varies with the seasons. Do note: there are bugs and occasional wildlife (like elephants), which are part of the local village life. It may not suit everyone, but for those open to it, it’s an unforgettable, authentic village experience. We left with full hearts and highly recommend The Loft by the Lake to nature lovers and cultural explorers.

The apartment is very comfortable, the kitchen/dining area is spacious and has all equipment necessary to prepare and cook meals. The bedroom balcony has great views over Kandy, and we enjoyed our mornings and evenings sitting there, especially the sunsets. Wilson is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful with suggestions to visit local attractions. Overall, we can thoroughly recommend staying here, when visiting Kandy.

Had a wonderful stay at Boutique Villa Kandy. The villa is nestled in beautiful greenery, offering a peaceful and relaxing vibe. The room was spacious with a super comfy king bed, and the pool was perfect for a refreshing dip. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Special thanks to the host’s father – such a warm and charming man who made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommend this place for a serene getaway in Kandy!

Man ist wirklich mitten im Dschungel, die Straße zur Unterkunft ist mit einem Tuk tuk oder eigenem Auto nur schwer zu erreichen aber der Manager und sein Team holen einen im Dorf am Parkplatz ab. Abends wurden wir von der Frau bekocht, was jedesmal sehr lecker war, vegetarisch war auch kein Problem. Allerdings dran denken in Sri Lanka ist alles sehr scharf. 😉 Die Gastgeber sind mit am Gelände, also wenn man etwas braucht immer erreichbar. Wir hatten auch einen Fahrer der uns zum Lion Rock und zur Safari gefahren hat dort gewartet hat und uns wieder zurück gebracht hat. Mit der Kommunikation war es nicht immer so leicht aber es hat schon immer alles gut geklappt.

A wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city - peaceful, surrounded by nature, and free from noise pollution. Duminda, David, and Charles made me feel completely at home and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was an unforgettable experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Everything was perfect! thanks for welcome drinks, detailed instructions and recommendations! moreover, you can order lunch/dinner or breakfast for adequate money and enjoy delicious local food and amazing nature view from window! Also, it is great to have the option to book a riding with the owner in her car and visit the nearest attractions in the city and province 🙂 we had been working for 1 day and that time WiFi connection was stable.
