Everything is as described. Checking in earlier in the day may be more convenient than later in the evening as it is a small family-owned hotel. They do include a breakfast certificate for the restaurant next door, which is a nice touch. My kids were terrified of the huge bugs in the bathroom, so be aware that it's Costa Rica and you're going to be amongst wildlife.

Wow! Große Empfehlung aus vollstem Herzen. Die Unterkunft bzw. Das ganze Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Bett ist groß und bequem mit Ausblick auf den See. Das Bad ist geräumig und sauber, die Handtücher wurden auch gewechselt und unsere Wäsche wurde auch gewaschen. Das Frühstück, welches man hinzubuchen kann, ist unglaublich lecker und mit sehr viel Liebe zubereitet. Kein 0815 Brot-Käse-Wurst Frühstück, sondern Gourmetklasse. Wahnsinn! Carlos und Werner sind sehr sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Sie gaben uns extra Tipps und Hinweise für Sehenswürdigkeiten, Routen und Restaurants. Außerdem bekamen wir Ponchos für den Regenwald und Handtücher für den Strand. Wir würden hier immer wieder und gerne übernachten.

Great place for folks who want to be off the beaten path. Really close to the Arenal Parque and Arenal 1968, as well as ATV tours. The road up the hill is a little difficult if you’re not somewhat experienced with Costa Rican roads. Once you’re up there, it has a great view of the volcano, clouds permitting. The pool looks really nice also, but we did not actually get in. Breakfast is provided and it is plenty to eat.

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed at on our trip to Costa Rica! We stayed for 2 nights. We were given an amazing homemade breakfast each morning & was easy to walk to the centro for Lunch and dinners. They even have a little hike you can take for the adrenaline junkies!!😅 I would definitely recommend to all my friends and family. It was a true Costa Rica experience & trust me I am the pickiest person ever!!! Thank you to the amazing family for having me and my husband!!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei macha und ihrer Familie. Sie waren alle überaus herzlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist sehr hübsch und sehr sauber und ordentlich. Nach einem parkbesuch kann man wunderbar abends noch in der Hängematte vorm Haus chillen. Die Unterkunft ist etwas außerhalb, aber dafür ruhig gelegen und nach einem kleinen Spaziergang ist die Stadt auch gut zu erreichen. Wir haben sehr leckeres Frühstück bekommen mit Gallo Pinto, Obst und Toast. Diese Unterkunft können er absolut empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

One of the best places we stayed! Was way better than expected. The room is excellent quality and very clean, all well maintained. The restaurant has delicious food and the surroundings are just amazing. They prepared a baby bed for our 2 year old. Highly recommend.

Marlenny and Freddie are great hosts. My daughters and I had a great time. Some might find the rooms a little small, but we weren't in Santa Elena/MonteVerde to hang out in a room (and they were priced appropriately). Marlenny communicated really well and helped book out activities in the cloud forest and their family coffee farm (if you like coffee you really should do their tour). Staff was friendly and breakfasts excellent.

Nous avons été très bien reçu par Diego et son équipe qui ont tout fait pour faciliter notre séjour et s’assurer de bâtir un programme d’activités qui répond à nos attentes et notre budget. Chaque fois que nous avions besoin d’un transport ils s’occupaient de tout et nous n’avions qu’à nous présenter à la porte à l’heure convenue. Plusieurs choix pour le petit déjeuner et c’est très bon. L’endroit est propre et bien tenu. La grande galerie est très confortable et accueillante, nous avons bien apprécié s’y installer pour lire quelques pages après une journée active, profiter de la brise et de la vue. Malheureusement, nous avons rencontré quelques difficultés lors du transport de Monteverde vers Tamarindo. Lorsque j’ai interpellé Diego pour qu’il m’aide à trouver une solution il a tout de suite pris ça en main et réglé la situation directement avec la compagnie de transport, de façon très efficace et satisfaisante. Pour l’endroit et pour le service, je recommande!

This was our favorite location out of the 8 places we stayed. It’s exactly what I want in an AirBnb. It’s not the Hilton, it’s a magical get away where you can live amongst the locals and have your very own private blue river pool. Absolutely recommend for anyone. Beautiful animals, bugs, flowers, and birds everywhere.

Great place to stay with my 3 kids (9,8,5). They had games available to play and popcorn in the evenings. I felt a little bad that my kids were loud since most people seemed to be adults but we did see a few children. The room was a tiny bit small but we didn’t spend much time in there anyway. The best part was the super helpful staff. The breakfast was great! They had plenty of choices.

Right in the centre of Santa Elena with shops, tour offices, restaurants and everything you might need in walking distance. Amazing value, wonderful staff and a beautiful town. Would stay there again. El Tigre Waterfalls was absolutely top of the list. Rope bridges, waterfalls, rivers running across the path - it feels like you're really in the rainforest. And ask Ronny about the sunset spot - the view is one-of-a-kind out over the Nicoya peninsula.

Love everything about this place! Diego checked us in and he was amazing. Gave us a map and highlighted (literally with a highlighter) lots to do in the area - plenty of recommendations! We only stayed for 1 nights, but could easily stay for 2-3 nights! Great spot

Anytime we visit, we aim to stay here. Been around a long time and for good reason. Great establishment and we will book again.

Ich fand die Unterkunft wirklich super. Absolut empfehlenswert. Auch der Wäschedienst war super sauber und schnell. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und wollte gar nicht gehen. Das Frühstück und die Getränke, die den ganzen Tag zur Verfügung standen sind keine Selbstverständlichkeit. Auch das Popcorn, die Kekse als auch das außerordentlich nette Personal hat es zu einem tollen Aufenthalt gemacht! Danke 🤍

Definitely recommend to Friends and Family. Worth the price we pay, my friends and I have a wonderful stay at Mindy’s place after spending time in a hot spring and waterfalls . 2 bedroom with 1 bathroom is private for us to use an spacious living room and dining area, And we can share a kitchen and laundry with the host Mindy and Frank . Thank you for making our trip unforgettable.

We had a great stay at Lulu's place. She and her family are very friendly and helpful, they gave us some great recommendations about the town and the area. The place is nice and clean, the beds are comfortable, the shower has warm water, and there is air conditioning. It is also nice that you are allowed to park your car on the terrain behind a fence. La Fortuna is a very popular destination in Costa Rica, and there is a lot to do in the area. However, this also gives the town a very touristy feeling. Because of this, I enjoyed staying at Lulu's place even more. It was nice to chat with her and her family, and because it is just one block out of the center, it is a bit calmer and gives you more of a local experience. The restaurant they are running in front of the airbnb is also very good and reasonably priced, the included typical breakfast was very tasty too. All in all, we really enjoyed staying at Lulu's and would definitely recommend her :)

I was pleasantly impressed by the host's hospitality and responsiveness. Even though I checked out late, they still allowed me to stay a few more hours after the indicated time. They were very understanding. It's a perfect room for someone who is traveling alone on budget and actually needs a place to rest after a hike on the Arenal Volcano. it is only 5 minutes away from the center.
