spectacular place that ended up feeling like home at the the end of the stay. nice calming place for after all day exploring. authentic area where there weren't a lot of tourists. if you take a day off from exploring, there are close by (15 min) bus ride to great restaurants. about 15-18 mins from the 2 close by train stations. Just warning there is a walking bypass over the main road that helps you get your stairs steps in lol.

Keita’s place is the best stay of my entire trip in Japan. I went with a family of four (2 adults 2 kids) and the place has a very spacious interior and with car park, outdoor dining and bbq area. 20 mins to Gransnow Okuibuki during winter which is a paradise to skiers and kids to play snow. The house has additional units of warmer which kept us warm during our stay. Owner gave us a surprise visit and curry packs as souvenir made from his own radish farm!

The place was clean and roomy. We loved the stay and enjoyed our time in Osaka. Makoto was super nice and responded soon after I messaged. Makoto was attentive and very nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kioku’s house. The space was beautiful, super cool. The bed was blissful to sleep in, the bathroom & deep bath overlooking the zen garden was perfection. The Fushimi neighbourhood is super cool, walkable delicious ramen and yakatori restaurants nearby and amazing history by the sake breweries and canal boats, we loved our stay!

Xin was a very great host - incredibly friendly and responsive. I read reviews before booking and felt differently about a lot of things though. This area was great, but it is very loud, so you will have issues if you’re a light sleeper. The beds were not comfortable at all, they were super hard and actually hurt to sleep on. We were disappointed to learn that we could not use the lofts because there were only 3 of us, but Xin did offer to clean them and make them available after asking about it (which we ended up declining because our son was already settled in the other room and we didn’t want to create extra work). Overall, it was very dusty, there was hair and toothpaste splatters in the bathroom, and there was nowhere to actually unpack our things - every closet was full of stuff. None of this was a dealbreaker overall and Xin was super nice, so I’d still recommend staying at her place.

Our family of four recently stayed at Yamano Kyoto Residence for five nights during our first visit to Kyoto, and Yamano and his wife truly made our trip unforgettable. The house is exactly as described—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities to make us feel at home. Its convenient location near the train station and bus stop made getting around effortless. The host's prompt and attentive responses to our questions were greatly appreciated. We would absolutely choose to stay here again. Thank you and thank you 🙏

Our stay at Mako-san's peaceful home was incredible. She is so thoughtful and kind, and her attention to detail is stunning. Everything in the home has carefully been considered and it's modern and well designed. It's right by Gojo station just a few mins walk tying it to access points all through the city, and literally just 1 block away from the main road where you can easily catch a taxi. Mako-san herself showed us immaculate hospitality. She greeted us at station and walked us through the home. Her recommendations were on point -- true insider local tips (liquor store, best handmade noodles/soba and where to catch the last vestiges of cherry blossoms). Such kindness to my daughter whose birthday it was we will never forget! Few things to keep in mind: taller people may have to bend their neck getting through some places (my 6ft2in husband had no problem bending his neck & enjoyed staying here); there are stairs to the bedrooms so anyone with major mobility issues should know this

firstly. ken is the most helpful and wonderful person in japan. he went above and beyond to help with all queries even when it wasn't connected to his accomodation. super nice person. very responsive. always will to help kens accomodation is beautifully located right by the river and close to really awesome bars and restaurants and great areas to walk around in the accomodation itself is small. but perfect for two people. because ken has done up the apartment very very thoughtfully. it's awesome every small thing in the apartment was taken care of. the highlight of this apartment is the beautiful terrace it has. the terrace is far better than that pics . really big with beautiful views. ken thank you so so much for being so helpful from the very start.
