The family and I loved this home. We have two young kids and it was comfortable for the four of us.

Me and my wife stayed at Jill's property with our 2-year old daughter and small dog. We felt right at home. The views are breathtaking, the house is comfortable and well-designed. The area is quiet and not far from excellent food in Geyserville.

Starling’s rest is a very spacious for our group of 10. The place is very well stocked with all amenities and kitchen utensils. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms were spacious. The highlight of the space was its location. It is located in a very private location with no neighbors in sight. We couldnt use the pool as it was closed in winter but we enjoyed the hot tub. Will definitely recommend to our friends and family.

From the beginning ~ Nina made the communication easy. She is warm and welcoming, extends invitations to engage with her and she was wonderfully responsive. Wayne ~ who helped to get us settled and become familiar with how to locate light switches, garbage disposals, garage doors and the hot tub ~ he was a delight. Now The Shack, as it is called~ is an eclectic, artistic splendor of Tiki, meets Tahiti, now blend and mix with country vibes, a barnyard thrill, and an upgraded western atmosphere with a little pirate’s of the Caribbean flair all housed in a large open space ~ and you have got The Shack on The Hill. Wow!!! Love it My family of grown kids, their spouses, and us (mom and dad) stayed 3 nights. We had an incredible time. The property is expansive, the house is massive~ and the seating inside and out is inviting, relaxing and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare every meal, and to enjoy lots of fun snacks. We will be back. This is a place to stay

The house was beautiful everything was clean very peaceful only downside was that the dock lights did not work but other than that everything else was so beautiful

This mid-century modern house is charming, clean and has an amazing view. I loved enjoying my coffee with the view of a mountain and a lake! The amenities were great, everything was easy to use and efficient. The hot tub is super lovely and the area is beautiful. Marie has furnished the home with a sense of humor and style. The beds were comfortable and the bedding felt luxurious. The home has beautiful light and a variety of cool places to hang out with your family and friends. Kelseyville is a great mid-point for so much California adventuring. I am always delighted to end a fun day by coming home to a place that feels relaxing and comfortable. This place is close to wonderful hiking, boating, and other outdoor activities. Whether you like nature or antiquing, nearby there is so much to do. The home feels private but you're not remote. We loved it and will come again!

The house was more open and spacious than we anticipated and has a gorgeous view of the lake. As cat people, we were thrilled that the housecat Nellie was eager to spend time with us. The house is charming, old and comfortable -- if you're a tech person, beware that 3-prong outlets are mainly accessible in the kitchen. The kitchen is large and very well stocked -- we were able to make Thanksgiving dinner easily with their pots and pans.

We stayed with our 2 children, 10 and 14, for 4 nights. It was a very nice get away. The lake was so tranquil, and we loved watching the pelicans gliding over the lake. The place was nice, clean, as described. Each room has a large LG TV that with programming. Recommend it.

The hosts were awesome and Danielle was very generous. This is a GREAT place to use a base for wine tasting. They serve wine and cheese in the afternoon, and breakfast was delicious. They also have tons of connections to the local wineries, and we were always treated wonderfully when we mentioned we were staying at the Alexander Valley Lodge. The lodge and the property are beautiful and comfortable; this would be an awesome place for parties.

Danielle heard that there would be power outages due to high winds and fire danger in Geyserville so seamlessly found us another bnb in Healdsburg. Thank goodness, as there was a fire and all Geyserville got evacuated. This is a high level of customer service and a tribute to how the inn keepers in Sonoma look out for their guests and each other. Thanks Danielle, you saved our trip. We’ll be back.

Great place for our extended family. Enough nooks and crannies so peace and quiet was attainable for those who needed it. Some bedrooms are near the main area and some are remote and quiet.. A masseuse we retained used one of the bedrooms near the hot tub every day and it worked perfectly. Our family was able to really relax because the decor is modest and not new. It is very clean, and quite eclectic and interesting. We have stayed in B&Bs which were so fancy and pristine we were constantly on our guard. We were very comfortable here. The kitchen is very well stocked and the dining area is very large with seating for more than 12 people. The pool table was a hit! The road up takes a bit of getting used to, but no one found it too difficult. We had as many as 8 cars ( from a Prius to a 4 wheel drive Suburban) going up and down the road with no problems. Ample parking - four spaces right out front and 4 or more behind the house. We all had a great time and will be back.

I could not have asked for anything more. It was the perfect setting for my girlfriends birthday. Looking out the lodge's windows are like looking into a beautiful painting. Our host Daniell was exceptional, very warm and open. All in all I could not recommend that place more. It is close to many beautiful wineries and if you dont feel like leaving the lodge there is plenty to do there. perfect place to stay.

Ideal lake house. We chose this house for our two families (7 people total with adult children) because it has so much to offer in all weather. It ended up being nice out, so we used the kayaks and the hot tub and then watched movies inside and enjoyed the area. Well-stocked kitchen, well laid-out home, beautiful views. Will be coming back in warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor kitchen and more!

We had a fabulous time as a group of 10 girls celebrating my sister's engagement. The house has the most beautiful view and did not disappoint! The best part of our experience was that Danielle was SO helpful in planning our wine tasting day and giving recommendations. We were unfamiliar with Alexander Valley, and she was able to help us coordinate and afforable, unforgetable day visiting wineries!

Lovely place! Such a great getaway among the trees. I really enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend. A couple things to note: The market just down the street is great for snacks, essentials you may have forgotten and firewood. The internet was not the best - fine for watching a bit of streaming but I would not recommend planning to do a bunch of zoom meetings. There are neighbors, but the way the house is set up, it feels very private.

My friends and I booked this lake house to get away. We spent time at Wild Diamond Vineyard and Brassfield Estate Winery. The food options in the area are very limited but we expected that. The location was beautiful! We enjoyed our lake view. It’s such a cute little escape! We also spent time in the hot tub. I will say one of the filters was broke and floating in the tub. I thought the drive down to the lake house was a little scary (super steep!). Aside from that, we don’t have any complaints and would book with Madison again. Thank you!

This location is absolutely spectacular! The rooms were impeccably clean, thoughtfully designed, and radiated a calming wellness vibe. The highlight for me was the private deck overlooking a serene babbling brook – the perfect spot to unwind. The natural wood hot tub was a dream, with no chemical smell, making it even more enjoyable. This stay felt like a true retreat, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
