The only gripe I will say I had was the lighting - the house as a whole was very dim and not very bright, which made it hard for us to hang out in the living room. Other than that - this was an amazing house with a great location and plenty of sleeping space!

Charming and unique 3-level cabin built on a steep hillside that feels very private and secluded. Very roomy for our party of 6. The king size beds were very comfortable, cabin was well furnished. Loved that theatre room! Living room is very inviting gathering place with nice wood fireplace. Lot’s of outdoor deck space to hang out, too. Easier to find home from lower cul-de-sac entrance. Use upper driveway entrance from highway to avoid stairs but may be intimidating with steep and curvy turns. Shelley is an excellent and communicative host. Great location only a 5 min drive from town.

K.C. was a great host and very quick to respond. His cabin was perfect for 2 people. The kitchen had everything we needed, the shower was very nice, tv had Netflix, and the jacuzzi was amazing. The location is perfect. It’s walking distance to a delicious donut place (Dank Donuts) and less than 10minute drive to The Village. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I appreciated how clean the place was and how all the linen was fresh. The place had lots of games that the kids really enjoyed and everyone enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub also.

The place was exactly as described—spacious, clean, and in a peaceful location. shower head was dirty, we washed it for medical hygiene purposes. other than that everything was perfect. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

We fell in love with this place! It is whimsical, warm and inviting. You’re going to want to curl up with a nice book in the cozy space upstairs. The hot tub is so serene as well. Also recommend going on a walk and taking in nature. If you’re looking to recharge, this is it!

We had a wonderful stay at Peaceful Pines! The cozy cabin was perfect for us and our two dogs. The backyard is a huge blessing and allowed us to have some time together without our pups. Great cabin for a couple or small family! We brought our dog and we all loved the house. Everything was exactly as described and they had everything you could need. They had lighters, flash lights, kitchen utensils, dog bed, movies, board games, etc. Great home and yard and 5-10 minute drive to all top spots. I’d recommend!

Had a great time staying here, the house was clean and as stated in the description. Brought our two dogs with us and they loved the spacious backyard. The hot tub was very clean and perfect to wind down after a day hiking. We used the kitchen during our stay and they had all items we needed for our cooking, made us feel right at home. Will definitely come back again.

Charming Cozy Stay in the Snow! We had a wonderful stay at this cute little Airbnb in Idyllwild! The space was perfect for two adults (and small pet-friendly too, which was a huge plus for us). The backyard is super big plenty of room to let your pup roam around. We visited during snowfall, and the whole experience felt like a winter wonderland. The home was warm, cozy, and just a short distance from the main village market. Super convenient for grabbing food or exploring local shops. Mario, our host, was incredibly attentive and responsive. He quickly addressed the small issues we encountered and made sure our stay was comfortable. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful getaway!

Thank you so much for letting my family and I make a home out of your cabin for a few days! We celebrated our youngest daughter’s 6th birthday while we were there. The Bird Dog Cabin was a perfect home base for a weekend in Idyllwild! The house is cozy and perfect for relaxing with the family. The neighborhood is peaceful but still close enough to town to walk to several restaurants & shops. And of course we loved staying in a dog-friendly home with a fenced-in backyard. Additionally, Amanda is an excellent host, quick and helpful when responding to questions. We’d definitely stay again!

A very good experience

Everything was as said and was very nice! Felt right at home and everything is pretty walkable! Loved the nature around us and it was really peaceful, Lisa was very helpful and always responsive. Very nice place to stay at! Would definitely love to come back !

Matt‘s house did not disappoint. We had plenty of parking for our four vehicles and check-in was a breeze with keyless entry. We walked in and, to be honest, the house was even nicer than the photos on the Airbnb listing. The kitchen was huge and had plenty of storage as well as a huge fridge/freezer for the food that we brought. The living room was cozy, and there was lots of seating for everybody. I don’t think we realized, when booking this, that the house is three levels. The basement level is the game room, but also has the two bunkbeds as shown in the photos. The downstairs leads out to the spa, which was great. Just a tip, be sure to turn the spa on quite early before you want to get in as it did take some time to heat up. All of our guests loved their rooms. Each space was decorated so thoughtfully. My husband and I stayed upstairs in the master bedroom (The Eagles Nest) and it was an amazing space with a really beautiful private bath. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our 3rd time staying at Matt's cabin. It never disappoints. Matt is responsive and super friendly. The cabin is always a clean, comfortable place to stay. It gets pretty cold in Crestline. When we stayed, the lows were in the high 20s, but with the heating provided and the cozy fireplace, we were VERY comfortable. The shower had GREAT water pressure and the cabin has an EXCELLENT water heater. The kitchen has refrigerator, oven, toaster, blender, utensils/plates and a pretty great stove top, so making a family dinner was no problem. I can see how some might say that the stairs to get up to the cabin can be challenge, but for us, it is doable and worth it for the privacy we got from the street (FYI we are in our mid 40s). This place feels like home as soon as you step into it. To be completely honest, I'd be really disappointed if Matt ever sold this place, because it is GREAT rent!... but on the other hand, I might consider buying it :)

The Cozy Cabin is a perfect spot for a quiet weekend getaway. My partner and I stayed for 2 nights and the place was perfect. It is close enough to town to grab some coffee or a bite to eat. We also enjoyed just sitting out on the back desk enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature and the wind blowing through the trees.
