we had a great time staying. The host was very responsive and helpful. we went for a birthday and they had a cake and banner waiting for us when we checked in. They had all kinds of snacks and fresh flowers. I wouldn't change one thing about this place and will definitely rent again.

We were able to celebrate Christmas at Joanie’s house with three young grandchildren. The children absolutely loved the house and it was very kid friendly. The entire downstairs was designed for children. It was perfect! The house was immaculate and apparently the cleaning crew is a five star. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance and feature that a chef would ever want. Everything in the home is over the top quality. The bed in the master was superb. The master bathroom is large and ever so handy. There was so much storage room in those two rooms. The views of the lake were so beautiful and since it is winter, we could see the water and enjoyed watching the children down by the fire their daddy built. Since we are from Florida, it felt extremely cold! It was fun to feel and see the change of seasons. Everything about this trip was so perfect. Our six year-old said he did not want to go home and he wanted to stay in the lake house for 100 years. 😄

Host had a quick response to any questions. House was great. Property was as described, very clean. I would definitely rent this property again.

Absolutely fantastic all the way around. Our 4 boys were outside exploring the entire time and never bored…which speaks for itself. Awesome Lake house, will definitely be back. We appreciate it, thank you!

Of all of my AirBnB stays Natanya's place was by far the best experience to date. The house was amazing. It was perfect for what we were there for. There was so much space. Even after viewing the listing numerous times I was still shocked at how large the home was. It was perfectly stocked. It had something for everyone. The kids kept busy with the numerous activities the home has to offer - the game room, books, toys. The moms enjoyed the dock and hot tub, and the guys loved the fact that they could dock their fishing boats on the property. It was literally a dream house and we can't wait to go back.

Stunning home with spectacular views! Was the perfect place to stay for our event in Gainesville very close to everything, while still being in a serene and peaceful location. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and has plenty of room for families. We have already booked our next visit thank you Nicole for being the perfect host.

This place was a great place to stay and enjoy a nice quiet weekend on the lake. Had a family dinner as well and everyone was so impressed with the space. Activities galore right at the home from to entertain. Master Suite and rooms were top notch! I can’t wait to book again.

My family and I stayed at Gilbert’s cabin for the Christmas Holidays and really enjoyed it. The cabin sits on a large piece of land, so even though there are neighbors it feels very private. It was very quiet and the fire pit outside was the perfect place to stargaze. The cabin is only 10-15 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge and there are also plenty of hikes nearby as well. We would love to come back in the summertime and enjoy the lake!

Awesome place and great host. The entire process from booking to check-in to leaving was frictionless and easy. The house is an excellent, super quiet location. Great for a weekend stay, and ample space for people to hang in different areas without being on top of each other.

We enjoyed the property and the house. The upstairs steps are a little steep but as long as you are careful going up it was fine. The view of the lake was amazing and enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There were 10 of us and never felt crowed.

I took my teenage daughter and her friend for a 'girls' weekend' at the lake. Karen's place was absolutely perfect and she was an exceptional host. We did have a small issue with the AC, which Karen corrected immediately. She was very responsive, very friendly, and very accommodating. (Plus this AirBnb comes with a DOG!! Sam is the sweetest goodest boy). We would definitely return to Karen's place and highly recommend it.

This home was great for a long weekend! We had terrible weather but were able to enjoy the basement level and theater room! All of the restaurants are within 10 minutes max. Definitely will come back when it’s warmer! Cody was an excellent host!

We loved the cabin! It was just as described. It was clean and had everything we needed. I would definitely bring a different vehicle next time, had a little bit of a hard time maneuvering on the mountain roads to get up to the cabin. Steep downhill and inclines. What a beautiful and comfortable home! We would love to come back and stay again! It was the perfect getaway for our relaxing weekend.

My husband and I have been taking our family on mid-winter excursions for over 20 years. In the last 10+ years we’ve added 2 son-in-laws and 6 grandkids. Alternating between Georgia and East TN, this has easily been one of our favorite getaways. Our grandkids loved the downstairs area they felt was especially provided for them, but lured the rest of us too! While we had several options for activities in the area to keep the kids occupied over the long weekend, it wasn’t necessary as they preferred to stay at the cabin and enjoy all the fun and games provided along with movies and popcorn made in the vintage looking popcorn cart! The cabin is lovely and very well stocked in every way. There was an issue with the heat-pump, but our communication was seamless with the Fordham’s and they had technicians sent out quickly to look into the situation. The cabin is set in a quiet, lovely location that affords privacy and relaxation. We would definitely recommend Lake Dakwa Lodge.

We came for a birthday shopping trip for my daughter with some of our friends. We LOVED the house!! It was beautiful and exactly how it looked in the photos. It smelled SO clean in the house. I told my friends that I felt like I was walking into Pottery Barn. Our girls loved the bunk bed room! The master bathroom was amazing!! It was easy to find and had plenty of parking. Highly recommend!!

It’s a beautiful house on the lake, peaceful beautiful surroundings. Spacious home for the kiddos to run around. Good communication and so glad Tan went out of his way and got our clothes that was left behind. Great location as well. We enjoyed it with our big family .

Our family of four absolutely LOVED this lake house!!! The MULTIPLE outdoor lounging areas were delightful! We enjoyed dinner in the screened in patio, many many many dips in the hot tub, reading on the swing, sunbathing on the lawn, s'mores on the dock, and water adventures every day! The beds were all extremely comfortable and the rooms were incredibly dark with the blinds drawn. Our teenagers loved that and slept in every day. We also appreciated having plenty of TP, paper towels, and laundry detergent for our stay! Our family suggests: - eating at the DIVE bar and grille - playing "count the deer" if driving at dusk 🤣 {our high score was 29} - s'mores on the dock at night! Thanks for the great stay Brian {and Dena}! If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely re-book! PRO TIP: If you forget something, drive in to town to get it instead of using Amazon. They don't deliver to the property and it becomes a whole ordeal. 🫠 Save yourself the hassle.

We had a good stay at Whippoorwill. We cook a lot and the kitchen was pretty well stocked with different pots and pans and also basic necessities (salt pepper/sugar/oil/vinegar). The A/C works well and surrounding area is prettt quiet, it backs up to a national forest. The home was one minute away from a popular day-use area with lake access, picnic tables and trails. It's only a few minutes from the dam day use areas (including river access) and maybe 8 min from Morganton point day use area which was the nicest, most beach-like lake access point we found. I will say based on the google map image I was expecting the home to have more of a lake view, that was the only downside, but it's summer so the trees are grown in. You can see it from the upstairs windows and from part of the porch though and we were able to see fireworks displays over the lake in July 3rd and 5th (we could see some of the 7/4 ones over the dam but trees blocked some of them). I would stay here again.

This was a beautiful location and very comfortable. This was a trip for two families instead of a prom. Everyone loved the location and the house set up. There was everything we needed to relax and cook while there.

Lovely home with great views. Had a few appliance issues due to a power surge before we arrived. They went above and beyond to remedy the issues. I hope they keep the property after the repairs. It’s a beautiful place!
