We had a great time staying here. The location is great and made it easy to visit the state park. The view is beautiful!! We loved the back patio! Enjoyed grilling dinners and getting in the hot tub after our hikes. The host was very helpful and responsive.

Place is exactly as described and in pictures, in fact, I believe even better. Mediterranean feel but in a cabin overlooking canyon. Seems remodeled or at least very well kept up, beautiful platform outside to take in special canyon view. All amenities needed in house. Grab groceries prior to getting to cabin since it is about 10-15 miles away from local markets and restaurant. Overall, great!

Such a be a peaceful spot loved to admire nature and spend time with my loved ones and my pups they were super kind and responsive

The house was exceptionally clean and was a GREAT location with a GREAT view! We took two elementary age kids and two dogs and everyone enjoyed it. The views were excellent. The kids had an area to play (swings, climbing pole, horseshoes, etc.) right by the house. The walking path was great for all of us in the evening. We also enjoyed seeing some of the wildlife in the area. The host was available through the entirity of the booking and stay. We would not hesitate to stay again and have already recommended to friends/family!

If you stay here, you will cry when it’s time to leave. This has got to be the prettiest view and closest location to Palo Duro Canyon without going into the park. It’s hard to believe this cabin is only 750 sq ft. It feels so much larger because of how well they designed it. Everything is in pristine condition. The owners are super nice and quick to respond to questions. If I could, I would rent this cabin for a year. This is one of those places that will cause you to rethink what life is all about. Well worth every penny!!!

We slept comfortably and my older son loved the loft. Couch was a little small for me but I’m 6’5 so there’s that. It was a great place that I would certainly stay at again. Had everything we needed. Thank you for a great stay.

Very peaceful! We want to return!

My husband and I booked this trip last minute. We wanted to find a place that was close to Palo Duro Canyon. This was about a 5 minute drive. The directions provided took us right to the cabin. The location was absolutely gorgeous! The cabin itself was spotless and perfect for us! It had everything we needed! Raquel is an amazing host! We will definitely be staying here again in the fall.

Lovely location and cabin. Extremely well equipped and lots personal touches by the Owner. The layout is best for a close couple (2 people) - as the loft space with the additional beds is difficult to access - especially for nighttime bathroom runs. It was wonderful to be close to the various animals - horses / chickens / goats, etc.

We were so glad we decided to stay in Rustic Highland at Palo Duro Canyon. Communication was excellent and every message was answered very quickly. The cabin was very comfortable and the beds were fantastic. We used the kitchen quite a bit and it was equipped with every item you need to cook a meal...pots, pans, utensils, appliances, etc. The grill was an excellent addition and we used it for supper one evening. It was great to have the washer and dryer. I did several loads of laundry while we were there. The location is breathtaking. I spent a long time sitting on the patio one evening and it was so peaceful and relaxing. We had no trouble finding the cabin or accessing it. The cabin was clean and the linens were fresh and comfy. We spent a lovely day in the Canyon and enjoyed a picnic lunch surrounded by unrivaled beauty. And, we stopped by The Sad Monkey and had some drinks and played cards for awhile. We made some wonderful memories! And, definitely a five star AirBnB all the way!

Very close to the state park, and right on the rim of canyon views; only 20 minutes to tons of restaurants. perfect spot, super quiet and peaceful.
