We spent a couple of days in September at Catherine's place and it was fantastic. We found the house to be very well appointed (particularly the kitchen!) and some of the extra amenities were nice to have (the sauna was very nice). It was great being right on the St. Lawrence River and peaceful to sit on the deck, watch the birds and enjoy a cup of coffee during the sunrise. We did a bit of fishing off the deck and found it to be surprisingly good! Being right on the water the mosquitos were really bad, but I think that is probably to be expected. The house is on a busy road, so if you are like us and bring your four-legged friend along, walking them on a road with folks driving by at 60+ mph is a bit unsettling. We made a couple of trips into Montreal, and while it's a bit of a hike (~50 miles), it was a fairly easy drive and took about an hour. Overall we had a really nice time and we would certainly recommend to anyone looking to spend some time on the river around Montreal!

Christopher place is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. If you love being by the water and love being outdoors you can’t go wrong with staying at Christopher’s place. I hope to return whenever, I get the chance. Lastly, Christopher is kind gentleman of high standards and good taste. Beautiful Chalet and lots of fun things for our kids to do at Fiddler Lake Resort! Close to the town and all the ski hills. Can't wait to book again

Four guests and I spent a lovely weekend getaway at Maria's chalet. The space was clean and organized, had lots of games and entertainment (and the spa was an amazing addition to unwind at the end of the day!). Maria and Dennis were responsive and provided all the details we needed to optimize our stay before and after our arrival. I highly recommend!

Had a lovely early spring stay while working in the area. Great quiet location especially this season. Space was perfect for my needs and was lovely to walk the dog along the quiet road and visit the National wildlife refuge nearby.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. I’m unsure why I didn’t picture the lake being covered in snow for a February stay but it certainly was. Which didn’t ruin our stay at all as the view was still beautiful. The house is beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures. I would have liked if the deck was completely shoveled so we could go outside with tea some mornings but I guess with how much snow there was this was not feasible. The hot tub only got warm to me even at 105 degrees it wasn’t burning hot just rather warm. I think that’s simply due to how cold it is in Quebec. The house layout was different I’m not accustomed to sleeping on different floors from my children so that was an adjustment. I checked on them multiple times throughout the night. Lastly we were presented with an offer to extend our stay at a discounted rate but did not hear back from the host as he was traveling, which seemed like a missed opportunity considering how much we enjoyed the space.
