Amazing waterfront property, great fishing, turtle & bird watching. The hosts Doug & Marcie welcomed us, gave us helpful tips and recommendations. The home is very well stocked & like the pictures. Cute decorating with lots of helpful things to make your trip easy. Kitchen is well supplied & organized. If you want a relaxing peaceful old Florida trip this is the place.

We had a wonderful stay at Laurie's place! Prior to check in, Laurie sent information about the area, and also shared details about the house and where to find what we needed for our stay. So helpful. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics - and then some. The beds were comfortable - and with crisp cool sheets. I don't know what we enjoyed more - listening to the birds while enjoying our morning coffee on the screened lanai, sitting on the peaceful dock, or perhaps it was kayaking the pretty channel? Hmm, hard to pick. Either way, we would not hesitate to stay at the Waterfront Hideaway again! It was cozy, clean, comfortable and quiet. Thank you Laurie!

We really enjoyed our time at the canal front boathouse. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We hope to visit again!

The house had everything we required: very clean, comfortable beds, ample linens, well stocked kitchen, nice living room, morning coffee and evening sunsets on the deck, multiple places to eat, on the deck, under the house, or in the dining room. We had a great time catching fish on the fishing charter Pam recommended, as well as fishing in front of the house. There are many nice State Parks nearby. We used the available kayaks on the lake everyday. The airboat tour with Captain Bob located at the Blue Gator was a blast, we even saw some alligators. The 47 mile long, paved, Withlacoochee Recreational Trail, is a great place, we bicycled many 20+ mile rides with no issues. We found great live music a couple nights a short drive to Inverness. So, the house location is near an unlimited number of activities, or a nice, quiet, comfortable, private location for a relaxing vacation! Many thanks to Pam and Mark, great hosts!!!

Go ahead and book this bnb! It was worth every penny. The house was spotless when we walked in and had everything we needed for a week stay. Hosts were so kind and helpful! Very quick to respond when I had questions. Very quiet, peaceful location. Lots of places to eat within 15min of bnb. They have two kayaks and a paddle boat you can barrow. Huge seating area by the water, with over 20 chairs to choose from. My dog loved exploring the back yard and chasing the squirrels. If you play disc golf, Green Gauntlet & Lake Hark are the 2 closest course. Both are wooded and reminded me of stepping into a scene from Jurassic Park lol. 5 of 5 stars for these hosts! We will definitely be back!

Luisa‘s home worked out perfectly for my family. It was one of the cleanest Airbnb I have ever stayed in right on Lake Weir, beautiful views. Will definitely be recommending it for my friends out of town guest.

Great place, not much around. So good getaway and peaceful. Water & outdoors & firepit for the kids. So fun! Coming back

We loved the property. It is exactly what we wanted. We were able to grill and sit by the fire pit in an absolutely gorgeous piece of property without the hassle of neighbors or other distractions. The inside of the home was great for our group size and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Would love to go back.

Super clean! Beds were very plush and comfortable. This place has great amenities (especially the dock in the back). Denise was a great and friendly host, she was quick to respond to any questions you may have.

What a great time we had. Hiking, biking and kayaking....We love this area. The house was comfy and supplied, clean and came with 2 single kayaks. Screen doors were a big hit. The weather this time of year is perfect and not many Florida homes have working screens ....I love a natural breeze. I spent every morning and most other free time on the deck enjoying the views and the bird calls. We met your neighbors on both sides.......they were very friendly (I would have expected a different behavior). One blew the leaves off our/your driveway and the other made us fresh cookies the day we left. So yes, we had a great time. Maybe next year we can do more. Thanks again for the wonderful time. This place was great! The house was clean and stocked with everything you need. The beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows and towels. The view is amazing! We had so much fun fishing right from the seawall and watching the birds and boats go by. Stunning sunsets. It’s quiet and peaceful and a great place to getaway and disconnect (only if you want, the internet connection was strong). The house is seemingly secluded but there’s quick access to grocery stores and quaint restaurants. Easy access to a handful of springs and riding trails for your 4-wheelers etc. The Ocala national forest is truly beautiful! If in the area we’d definitely come back and stay again!

Wonderful stay with 8 women celebrating a milestone birthday, the layout of the house is perfect, open concept and beautiful trees surround the property in a nice quiet area. Worth it and would stay there again.

This was our First time using Airbnb - and a big thank you to Joanna and Scotty for providing the honey dew lake house as an Airbnb. Joanna’s honey dew lake house was perfect for us. We enjoyed the peacefulness,sitting on the dock soaking up the sun and warm air,since it was freezing back home up north. We felt right at home! Otter Springs is truly one of a kind! The house is immaculate and has many essentials to help make your stay even better. Everything is clean and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. The outside is incredibly beautiful, private and spacious. The dock has newly updated stairs leading to the river making it easy to get in and out of kayaks & paddle boards. Nature is of abundance here as you can see several species of birds hunting for fish. We saw deer in the neighborhood. One of our highlights of the trip was being able to paddle with a family of otters for days as they played. It was magical! The kids loved having their own space in the separate house. We all spent all day on the water exploring upstream the cypress forests. It’s so peaceful to allow the river to float you back down stream to the house. You don’t even have to paddle! The water is crystal clear and refreshing. This house is a hidden gem and we absolutely cannot wait to book again!

Came to the area to ride the trails with my side-by-side in the Ocala forest. This is a great location close to Salt Springs and Astor and the North SXS trails. House has plenty of area to park the SXS trailer and my truck. Very quiet neighbor hood. House very clean and well kept.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Tony's place. Prior to our check in, he was very kind in sending detailed instructions on check in and access to his home. Tony was very responsive if we had questions, he was quite accommodating by granting us extra time for check out since we had young kids. Also, his home was SUPER clean and VERY tidy. My kids also loved his tech toys! Overall, I would recommend this host and if we had to do it again, we would definitely stay there. Great host!!

Richard was so very helpful, accommodating and went over and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Plenty of space outside with lake view and plenty of spaces for family and friends to visit. Huge back patio, fire pit, and hot tub. Highly recommend!

We had the best weekend! The setting was beautiful and house exceed our expectations. There was so much room and the pics didn't do it justice. We will definitely be back. June was very responsive and so easy to work with.
