I needed a home away from home to base my cooking & baking help for Hurricane Helene recovery, and this cozy little cabin was just perfect. The setting and drive was beautiful, the neighborhood doggies were friendly, and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. My family joined me for the last few days of my nearly month-long stay, so it was tight for all of us, but definitely do-able. I appreciated the quick communication on my questions, and proactive care with an incoming winter storm. Would definitely stay again!

My first yurt! Thoughtfully designed and has the perfect little forest around it, complete with a bubbling fountain that sounds wonderful and relaxing. One of my favorite places I’ve stayed. Convenient to everything I needed, peaceful and serene environment, all the amenities were as described, and Ellen is a beautiful soul. So glad we stayed here. We will be back!

I had a wonderful stay at The Playhouse cabin. Everything I needed was on site. My day was actually rebooked due to inclement weather when I originally planned to stay there. The reservation host, Danna, reached out to me in January and asked if I was still comfortable coming due to the incoming snow. The decision was made for me to rebook and it was seamless. I highly recommend this place and hope to return with family members in the future.

We had a fantastic experience and really enjoyed the cozy, private feel of the cabin. The pond was beautiful to look at, especially with the two ducks that inhabit it. We were 4 minutes from family, which was close, but far enough for us to enjoy some peace and quiet. We will try to get back in the Spring/Summer and take in some fishing. A well maintained and well loved little gem that is definitely worth the stay.

As stated it is one step above camping, but what a marvelous step. I had a big smile on my face the whole time I was there! The place is beautiful. The second day of my stay I went back early and spent the afternoon reading on the deck overlooking the woods. Started a fire in the fire ring and spent a lovely evening, buying a pizza in town about a mile from the cabin.

This place is a little slice of heaven. The cabin is so cozy and quiet, and you can sit on the back porch and look out over the water. There are also hiking trails around the pond with beautiful pine trees. It was very quiet and serene, the perfect spot for a getaway. Mary was so kind and friendly, and her food that she brought us was delicious! We are very grateful to have stayed here and would highly recommend this place.

The stay was fantastic, the house was very clean and spacious. The surroundings were excellent. Their horses were beautiful and very entertaining to watch. They are very polite and friendly people. If I could rate it more then 5 stars I would and I will definitely recommend this stay to anyone who is looking for a calm and quiet stay, and also people who loves animals because they are adorable.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Merle’s tiny home. It was peaceful and quiet. I loved that feeling of being hugged by the woods. It was perfect for me. Great place to decompress after a long day of activities. I would love to return here for my next trip to Charlotte.

This place was incredible! It was hard leaving this cabin. The cabin has a ton of character. We spent majority of our time by the fire pit and by the water. The time we spent here really allowed us to connect with nature and get some much needed relaxation. It was a pleasure to stay here. Also, the host was very friendly. Can’t wait to stay here again! Already making plans for another stay!

We had a great time at this tiny home! The host was super responsive, and the location had plenty to do nearby. The outdoor space was perfect for our dog to run around and play ball, which was a huge plus. As noted in the listing, there’s no shower, but we came prepared with a portable one. It was a bit chilly but totally worth it after a long hike or a night by the bonfire. Overall, a fantastic stay—we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and relaxing getaway!

We booked both cabins for our elopement, and we are so glad we chose Audra and Summer’s place for our wedding! Our ceremony in front of the private waterfall was absolutely magical, the pavilion area was great for cake cutting, the view from the porch was jaw dropping (especially at sunset), the fire was as the perfect place for dancing and drinks to celebrate, and the hot tub was ideal for stargazing! The property is so peaceful. Having that much natural beauty to yourself is truly incredible. Everything about the stay made for the most amazing wedding weekend, and we cannot wait to come back in the future to relive the memories of our perfect wedding.

Beautiful, secluded place perfect for a getaway. The hosts were so kind and incredibly responsive, the place was cozy and clean and had huge windows overlooking the river. Beautiful property, lots of space, lovely walking space, and they had kayaks and paddle boards available for use whenever I wanted! Cannot recommend this place and these folks enough.

We really enjoyed our stay. We spent most of our time in the home and felt like it had plenty of space for all the activities. We were able to cook on the stove as well as a dinner from the grill. Unfortunately we weren’t able to use the fire pit due to the high fire risk in the area but it looked like such a perfect spot. The view of the stars was incredible with the home being atop a hill they shined so bright. It is just a short drive from my favorite blue ridge parkway entrance, definitely recommend driving in to see the views. Was able to work perfectly on the wifi during my stay. The hot tub was perfect for 2 and we enjoyed sitting by the fireplace. Would stay again.

We loved our stay at New Direction!! The hot tub was wonderful after our long hike, and we also really enjoyed the fire pit and just the peacefulness of it. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked.

Unique space, great location for us to visit Lake Lure and Asheville. Friendly people all around. We came to visit the rainbow bridge and leave our pets collars and tags. Loved seeing the visitor right out the window the morning we were leaving.

The home was absolutely beautiful. I love the hammock and outdoor fire pit. Will definitely book again in the future.

We had a ball. Love the farm and the dogs were a blast. We give it a 100. Love all of it and would love to stay again. Best experience ever.

Carole’s house truly is tiny, but it had everything I needed for a short visit. Her descriptions were accurate and she was very responsive to help without being intrusive. The kitchen was well stocked, there were ample amounts of towels and blankets, and everything was clean and uncluttered. I highly recommend her place.
