Perfect spot in Shela - clean, functional, spacious. Babu and Ali are great hosts looking after you with care and compassion.

Naima's place is great! The outdoor balcony is a wonderful spot to hang out and relax. The bedrooms are very spacious and equipped with fans. Plus, Patrick and Justin are wonderful, kind, and great communicators. Naima was also very gracious. We loved our stay at Naima's place in Shela and highly recommend it!

We had an amazing stay at Najma’s in Lamu Old Town. The space was beautifully designed, true to the pictures, clean, and had a true Swahili charm that made our experience feel authentic. Najma was a wonderful host, responsive and kind. The caretaker too was so helpful, instrumental and friendly. The location was good, allowed us to soak in the culture and history of the town while still feeling peaceful and secure. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable stay in Lamu particularly old town. Side note: Do visit Shela while in Lamu, great place with so much to do, great restaurants too.

Tarik was a great host, property was just like the photos. He gave us options of how to arrive at the accommodation and we chose the one with an assisted guide to make finding the place a lot easier/faster, plus check-in was quick, painless & flexible. It's in a great location and although not found if navigating via Google maps, it is very easy to find. Plenty of restaurants, little stores and chemists nearby if needed. The place was very clean and quiet with the downstairs pool very clean. The oversized chair in the living room can also double as an extra bed for parties with an extra individual. The wifi is good, the staff is great (they cleaned up midweek during our stay and also helped get rid of a massive spider at my request). Tarik was also great at recommending who we needed to contact for things such as getting around or signing up for activities such as the sunset sail or snorkeling day trip. Other than a minor issue already raised with Tarik, I highly recommend.

We loved staying at Sai Shanti. Chri was an excellent host, arranging our boat transport, meeting us as we arrived on the beach and assisting us with carrying our luggage to our apartment, abley assisted by his trusted helper Rueben. During our stay Chris and Rueben were on hand to meet our every need. The apartment is spacious and comfortable with a kitchen and bathroom with hot shower. Fans powered by solar are available should it get too hot. All in all a great place to stay in Shela Thank you Cris and Rueben.

Our stay at the apartment was fantastic, the rooms have everything you need with great ambiance and style and the roof top a great place to chill. Thanks to Loyce and Teresa for looking after us so well. The location is perfect for a stay in Shela. We'll be back!
