Such a gorgeous little home away from home. Had everything you needed for winding down after a day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was left for the morning as well as milk and butter, which was a added bonus. Perfect distance to take a hike in the lakes or explore Lancaster. Would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area. Truly beautiful!

This was a truly special stay. How often can you say you've stayed at a beautiful castle! Caroline was extremely responsive and everything was as described -- yes, that includes some limitations. When you are in a very historic building that's also someone's private home, you can't necessarily have every amenity that you get in a luxury hotel. But these limitations are very clearly communicated and completely reasonable (mostly that there are some areas of the grounds that are private/not for the Airbnb guests, and that the building gets cold). Caroline supplied many little touches that made it an extraordinary stay, and was very understanding about my young children.

We stayed at Hill View for 3 nights. Molly made us feel very welcome. It was a lovely, clean, warm and beautiful annexe, with amazing views and garden. Molly left a fabulous selction of cereals, milk, jam, tea, coffee and a lovely bloomer loaf for us. There was also a cupboard full of toiletries in the bathroom for our use if needed. We stayed for New Years eve and had a lovely time. The hot tub was great and the place was cosy and comfortable with a 10 minute walk into Barnoldswick. Great hosts who made us feel welcome and provided everything we needed.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Buckden at Vicky and Richard’s place, The Dale. The location of the accommodation was stunning and the property exceed all our expectations. Vicky was super responsive and helpful in guiding us to the property and making sure we had everything for the perfect stay. Without a doubt we’d book to stay again! Such a great gem nestled within the heart of the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. Thank you both for hosting us!

We ended up arriving later than planned but not a problem for Brenda. When we arrived the room was lovely and warm and cosy, and spotlessly clean. There was tea and coffee facilities with biscuits and a pint of milk. The bed was very comfy and the shower worked perfectly. All good. We saw Brenda as we made our way out to leave,she was friendly and sociable. In summary we give the accommodation fulls marks, it was fine for our needs for a weekend trip. And we have no hesitation in recommending it. As a side note, the local pub, the little bare, was absolutely brilliant. Lovely beer,and amiable landlord and many very friendly locals. We had a great time in there.

We went to an event at the AO arena and the location was good. A short taxi ride away

This is the second time we have stayed here and it won’t be the last, couldn’t speak highly enough of this place and recommend it enough! The absolute perfect place to stay!

We cannot thank Vicky and Richard enough! The place is absolutely gorgeous and so comfortable and clean. The fresh flowers in the kitchen and on the dining table were a beautiful touch and much appreciated. The bed is huge and SO comfy. We especially loved the thick cosy duvet. Vicky was super helpful and responsive throughout our entire stay. A walking distance to the best pub in the country (in our opinion) - The George at Hubberholme and another great pub opposite (The Buck). We can’t wait to come back!

100% would come again! Hosts were super friendly, happy to take the time to offer recommendations - even baked us some homemade banana bread for our arrival. We had an amazing time and the farmhouse had everything we needed and more. The sun shining through the patio doors, the morning birdsong and the kindness of the community. We planned on staying here 3 years ago but covid cancelled our stay, we’re so glad we re-booked! We had a great stay at Shed End. We travelled up from the south for a working weekend and it was really lovely to have such a great place to return to at the end of the day. The surrounding area was just stunning and the accommodation was just right for us. We even had a tour of the water wheel which was something else. Thank you Jonathan.

Everything about the accommodation was perfect and didn’t need to trouble the host. I was fishing the River Ribble for the first time and during my short stay met many very fascinating and friendly people. I hope to visit again in the future and would not look anywhere else other than Stonehouse Cottage for my accommodation.

This B&B is absolutely incredible! It’s impeccably maintained, and the garden is breathtaking—beautifully designed and full of charm. The hot tub is in great condition as well. Such a hidden gem; I’ll definitely be recommending it to all my friends!
