My family and I greatly enjoyed our time at the house. It had ample space and beautiful surroundings outside. We felt right at home here with everything we needed to cook together each day and even fun pool toys for our days outside. We would definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay at Michael’s tropical oasis! Mornings were super peaceful sitting on the comfy porch, enjoying a cup of coffee, and listening to the birds and ocean. Michael communicated proactively and throughout our stay. Great proximity to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park! There was a welcome basket with local fruits and treats that was a touching extra we really enjoyed! Michael’s home was clean and comfortable and we highly recommend anyone traveling to the Hilo side of the Big Island to stay!

This is a great place to stay if a person is looking for a remote oasis. house is very cleaned, stocked with essentials, amazing pool to dip into. The views and location are breathtaking. There were a few lights that were burnt out , but not a major concern for us. overall this place exceeded expectations with location and amenities. It is a bit of a drive everywhere but we knew this going into this trip. grocery store is within 15 minutes for items , so it wasn't a concern for us. Wpuld definitely recommend !

This is a lovely quiet location close to Hilo and Volcano NP. We loved having the pool and the amenities of a well thought out home.

Easy access to the coast. Beautiful surroundings. Great amenities at the home. Enjoyed the pool and the grill daily.

Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

We had a delightful stay and really savored the peaceful location. The stars were so bright every night and the sunrises were dreamy. I highly recommend walking to the viewpoint nearby it was breathtaking.

Susan’s home is simple yet comfortable. We were a party of 6, 2 couples and 2 individuals. There was plenty of space for us to gather and still have individual bedrooms and bathrooms. The views from the property were majestic!! The pool was pristine! I truly have to say we were VERY pleased!! If I were to comment about individual preferences (mine & our party’s) some of the beds/bedding were not as comfortable as others, the coffee pots were small, there isn’t a microwave or blender in the main home. We felt the kitchen was minimally equipped but has the necessities…We purchased floor fans which definitely helped to circulate the air and cool the house at night. We were also a little surprised that there were not any beach supplies for use. We purchased bag chairs and a cooler from Walmart and donated to a local friend on the island. That being said, there is no beach access but the view from the cliff is unbeatable! Would I stay again? ABSOLUTELY!!! MAHALO, Susan!!!

The "Bali House" is amazing! Beautiful design, with many fascinating items from throughout Asia, and a book to explain many of them. Our group of two couples appreciated the separate bedrooms with their own ensuites. The main level lanai extends across the entire front of the house and has multiple seating areas. We loved sitting out there in the evenings listening to all the frogs and geckos, and were mostly protected from the rain (2 nights and 1 morning; hardly impacted our plans). We did not interact with David. Yvette the local host is great! She sent us clear instructions and tips on things to do in the area. She met us on check-in, gave us a tour, and provided additional information. She also responded quickly to questions. We would love to stay again in the future!

This is a very roomy, contemporary, simple and elegant home, with very spacious lanai, walking distance to forest, bluff and beach trails, shopping and restaurants within half an hour. Aside from the occasional garden maintenance on neighbouring properties, so quiet… birds and chirping frog songs galore. We are a family of six including a baby, so the three bedrooms two bathrooms was perfect. I wanted a place to chill and to walk from to be close to beach (the surf is strong, so not a calm swim/snorkel spot, but great for splashing in the waves and hanging in a hammock) and forest, and this was perfect.

This place is unbelievable. You feel like you somehow became a multi-billionaire and have a private lodge in the jungle. While the host and manager/owner, Michael, is on property along with workers that help groom the place, your privacy is paramount to them and it shows. Michael is amazing and fun to talk with. His knowledge of the area and the grounds is first rate. I literally cannot say enough good things about this stay. We have stayed in some amazing places in many countries, but this is probably our favorite. Make sure you tour the grounds with Michael, and take the time to pick your own fruit and cut flowers. We can’t wait for another trip to the Hilo area to stay here again.

We came to Big Island to enjoy calm and recharge. Eliot's place offers just like that as his house is spacious and plenty of space between properties with peaceful surroundings. because the home sits in a large ground in suburb of Hilo. Downtown Pahoa is close so you can dine out and get shopping done easily if you want. Eliot is kind and smart owner to take care of home and our needs. He was always responsive and come back with a solution for our questions.

We had an amazing time in Hawaii and Suzy's little abode was the perfect place to call home during our stay. The house was beautiful, clean, well maintained, and had everything we could possibly need. It felt like a private oasis, we never once saw or heard another neighbor, it was so peaceful, and the stars at night were incredible! As animal lovers, the wildlife we got to enjoy from the back patio alone made it worth it, countless birds, wild pigs, chickens, roosters, various lizards, we never went a day without awesome wildlife sightings. There isn't a single negative thing to say about our experience, thank you Suzy!!!

This place is exactly as pictured, if not better. It was easy to find, there were guests in the lower apartment that were very friendly and quiet, we barely knew they were there. We had a slight issue with the patio doors locking on us and Debbie their local rep came by within minutes to help us! (close them gently). The place was incredibly clean and cozy, the bed is comfortable and the chocolates, coffee and welcome Prosecco were very nice touches. We will miss waking up to the beautiful views and the sounds of the birds chirping. The rooftop deck was perfect for mid-day tanning and night-time star gazing (the stars were insane). 
We did visit the nearby black sand beach, it was pretty but personally a bit too much nudity for us (haha) but if that’s your jam then it's worth checking out. The neighbourhood is very peaceful and nice to walk around in. In the future, adding a small cool-off pool would be amazing to beat the heat. We would love to come back! Thanks Jenn and Kristian.

Loved it! Getting there might be a bit challenging (especially with a little Ford Fiesta rental that was not built for Hawaiian back roads), but just take it slow, it's so worth it. We especially loved the local flora and fauna, the frogs can be deafening for a while in the evening but we loved it. We had visitors every day: a rooster with his lady love and their three adorable chickies, and a sweetheart of a kitty that made herself at home and we briefly thought of kidnapping! We will definitely come back when we are in the area again. Mahalo!

We came to Volcano to visit the national park and Christina’s place was perfect. It was so close (you could see the glow from the active eruption from the backyard). The area is quiet and peaceful, and the hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. 10/10 would recommend if you’re planning on visiting the park.

House was clean, comfortable, peaceful and aesthetically pleasing! Gabriel was an extremely friendly, helpful, responsive host. We stayed here with our 5 and 8 year old and liked the location as a mid way point between VNP and Hilo. The puna district and Pahoe were fun to explore. House is a delightful little walk to a beautiful ocean cliff side. We had a great stay!

Jeff's place was a private, quiet and convenient place to stay with easy access to Volcanoes National Park. The house was very clean and extremely comfortable for two couples. The kitchen was well stocked which was much appreciated. the outdoor space was lovely for our morning coffee. There isn't a large grocery store nearby but there are a couple smaller shops for the basics/sandwiches etc. Highly recommend staying here, and if we are back in the area I will definitely try to stay again!

The pictures didn't do the house justice. It was an amazing home base for our family during our stay. The host was great to work with as well.

Diana’s Home in Hilo was a perfect place for us to explore Hilo and the surrounding areas. Our unit was spacious and comfortable. The beautiful landscaping created a private lanai. Diana was a gracious host, and we definitely stay with here again if our travels bring us back to Hawaii.

Harlan and his wife were nothing short of amazing. I have never had such a great experience with an AirBnb as I did with them. They gave very helpful tips, suggestions, and clear instructions to make the check in and out process go smoothly. Their place is newly remodeled and beautiful. We all felt very comfortable and at home thanks to Harlan and his family!

Aurora's place is immaculate. There is everything you need including thick blankets for the chilly nights. The directions were very specific and enabled us to find the place right away. We were very pleased.

This place is a gem! If you have a large party, it's nice to be all together than separated in a hotel. Unfortunately part of our party had to cancel but we decided to keep all our reservations and make the best of it. Also cooking instead of eating out all the time is a plus. It was like a home away from home. It's very close to Volcano National Park, which is very convenient if you want to spend a few days exploring instead of cramming it into one day. If i had known better I would have spent another day or two there. Plus the hot tub is a plus after a logn day of hiking. I'm going to add this to my recommended spots to stay. Mahalo Nui, John!

A Tropical Paradise! Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of awesome! The soothing sound of the ocean, combined with the enchanting serenade of coqui frogs at night, created a blissed atmosphere that we absolutely loved. We enjoyed delightful meals on the lanai, grilling fresh mahi mahi and marlin, which made for unforgettable dining experiences. The beds were comfy, and the house was beautifully appointed, even featuring a Scrabble game for fun evenings. Perfect place to indulge in long, relaxing baths in the deep tub and the pristine sauna was a detaching retreat. All the furniture was cozy, making us feel right at home. The location is fantastic, with a general store just 10 minutes away in Orchiland. The yard was impeccably manicured, and we enjoyed cooking and grilling in this wonderful space. Our point of contact for the property was incredibly helpful, responsive, and professional, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, this is one of our best Airbnb experiences!
