Sandra and Heinie welcome you like family and share whatever they have with you. We spent 10 days here over Christmas and New Year and were thankful for the quietness. Sandra went out of her way to make Christmas special, with Christmas decorations, Christmas tablecloth and serviettes and each day we discover new surprises. We discover a tin with biscuits and peppadews in the fridge. It really felt like the festive season. We had a great stay as the surroundings are peaceful, it is safe to go for a walk, and near enough to Bloemfontein if you need to visit or buy groceries. The town also has a coffee shop, Turksvy (worthwhile to visit) and a Koöperasie for immediate needs. From Heinie we learnt a lot about the history of Soutpan, its surroundings and its people. He is a walking encyclopaedia. We really want to thank Sandra and Heinie for opening their facilities and hearts to us (we could use all facilities and even the other guest house when we were in need).

I actually don’t want too many other people to know about this place since it is the perfect stopover for travellers and I will definitely use it again. It was very spacious and the setting is getting you in the mood for a holiday. The big mystery for me was the price… I really expected much, much less. Hidden gem for sure!

Beautiful relaxing farm atmosphere with a lot of birdlife The dam with the flamingos was spectacular. And Hudson the dog always made sure we were ok with his frequent visits.

Wow! What a beautiful place! Kobus and Anna-Marie were most welcome and accommodative. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves the outdoors. Thanks for a lovely stay Kobus & Anna-Marie!

A great host, he went the extra mile to assist me check in to the place. He is very friendly and made sure I was comfortable. The place was amazing I’ll definitely be staying there again.

Had a great stay at Charmaine’s place! Her and her husband were great hosts and she was in constant communication with me regarding my stay. The place is perfect, located in a nice quiet area and much bigger than I had anticipated with a beautiful interior, that has enough working space. It also has additional thoughtful amenities and items that I enjoyed, which were quite useful. I would highly recommend this place, excellent value for money!

I had a great Elrie's place, clean and prestine, the bed is comfortable! The house is adequately equipped and the kitchen is well stocked with basic necessities. The yard is green and well manicured, looks amazing. Staff very helpful, clean and responsive. I am staying there again next week if I find it free for booking.
