Our stay was perfect- from sunrise to sunset, we saw it all evolving from the living room (or a very short walk to the water). Is it trendy- no. Is it perfect- absolutely yes. We can't recommend it highly enough. The best stocked kitchen we have come across. And Don was so responsive and helpful. We need to spend longer next time - we didn't get to see everything we wanted on Skye. But what we saw we fell in love with.

What an amazing place! The house itself is beautiful and the surrounding area is stunning. Conor was an amazing host-giving helpful information about things to do before we arrived, sending a video to show us exactly where to go and how to get in and getting in touch on arrival day to check all was well. He honestly couldn’t have done any more. There was more to do than I was expecting-a beautifully peaceful area, but also beaches, restaurants and museums nearby. Everyone was really friendly and recommended local attractions and walks. It was definitely worth the long drive and we will certainly be returning to the area. Absolutely fantastic.

Diana’s place was perfect for our family holiday. The location is both tranquil and remote in the way we like but not far from interesting and beautiful places (Applecross, Torrodin, Plockton and Skye all less than an hour away). The house was comfy and looks right into loch Kishorn. It’s well equipped and there are great local amenities nearby in kishorn and loch carron. Milo (Diana’s partner) was a helpful and charming host and we would absolutely recommend this lovely house for a highland holiday.

Wonderful stay. Well situated to expore North and South UIst, with lovely cafe, fish shop, and wool shop, within easy access. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very thoughtfully, and tastefully, furnished and equipped. Lovely views of the loch, and very entertaining sheep wandering by. Robin and Michelle couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our break in their beautiful cottage.

Cosy Cottage with beautiful peaceful aspect couldn't be closer to the Loch.

Had a great stay at Jan’s cottage which is very comfortable, clean and homely. It was a relaxing place to stay, and very quiet even though it’s next to the road. It’s a great base from which to go out and explore some of the most beautiful places in Scotland, including the Torridon Munros which are sensational. We would definitely stay here again. We hired out lochalsh lodge for a week over Christmas and had a wonderful time, a beautiful house located in stunning surroundings, and Colin was very responsive and helpful from the very beginning. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Hector’s place was very comfortable, easy to access and you couldn’t beat the location. The flat is very spacious with beautiful lighting at all times of the day. Hector was great to communicate with and responsive to our inquiries. The Cafe below is an added bonus.

We had a lovely couple of days break at Ian’s. He greeted us and gave us all the information we would need for a quick check in. If you enjoy quirky, scenic, historic, picturesque accommodation and timeless scenery, this is the place for you. We have two dogs and they absolutely loved it! Great skies at night and the hot tub wasn’t too shabby either. The best quirk is the floating bridge which in certain weather conditions can be fun. It offers a unique and playful side to this wonderful look back to a time when things were “simpler”.

The accomodation at Salty Towers is to a high standard, photos do not do it justice. Much bigger than initially thought. Everything you need is provided for a very comfortable stay. Good quality l, high standard furnishings and appliancies. The views from the patio of the sorrounding loch and mountains as well as views over to Skye are stunning. Very peaceful and tranquil. Ideally located to explore the local area just a short 15min drive to kyle lochalsh and the skye bridge. We found this to be a perfect base to explore the isle of skye and travel up to plockton, loch carron and kishorn. Lesley helped by giving us valuable advice to help plan our time. The beautiful Eiean Donan castle is just a short walk frpm the accomodation as is the village of Dornie. The Dornie Hotel was great for a bite to eat and a drink in the bar. Lesley was a fantastic host nothing was too much trouble, very welcoming especially to our dog Wee Cooper. Had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.

well we'll what can I say about Sarah.. she is just a beautiful wonderful host inside and out. the place is so spacious very neat and clean.had everything what we needed. fridge and freezer full of food and the most important thing is we could use everything that was so kind of Sarah.she couldn't do enough for us. always checking if we were comfortable and needed anything. loved staying every minute of it. Will definitely come in summer again.just felt like home.thank you so much for everything Sarah. hope you have a wonderful time at NEW YEAR.all the best for 2025 !!

If you want to tour Skye without paying inflated Skye prices, this cottage is a great option as it is only a ten minute drive to the Skye bridge. Plus you are well situated for exploring Plockton, Applecross, Glenelg, etc. The cottage is in a very peaceful setting. You will really enjoy driving back from a day’s exploration because the evening light is so wonderful in the Highlands. We had a week of unusually warm weather - good luck with yours on the “misty isle”.

Excellent base for exploring Plockton, Applecross, Skye, local hill walks, sea kayaking etc. Cosy house in quiet location. We took a tv for the evenings, which worked ok off the Wi-Fi.

Unbeatable location to capture the beauty of Skye. My family of four just felt right at home and it was hard to leave this special spot!

We had an amazing week on Skye at Catriona’s property. The location was perfect for exploring the whole island, as well as being so convenient for supplies. We could not recommend this highly enough, the property ticked every single box for us and our two dogs.. We will definitely be back to Skye, so would definitely book this property again.. xx

What a wonderfully quiet, idyllic location with spectacular views. The sound of Curlews in the morning was enchanting. Fiona and Geoff were the perfect hosts and we would certainly highly recommend this cottage.

Ian and Linda were wonderful hosts, extremely helpful and just generally lovely. The cottage is very cute and the walks around Plockton and the surrounding highlands were breathtaking.

Lovely wee Croft house in a central location on South Uist. Recommended.

The house is located in a really beautiful and peaceful area, with great access to both Lewis and Harris. The house is surrounded by fields (croft), to which you have access to walk and discover the surroundings and wildlife. I really enjoyed walking down to the loch side and along the water at low tide to spot the seals every afternoon. Cathie and Les are great hosts, I had some great conversation with Les about the history of the place, wildlife, and areas to visit. The house is spotless and the view from each window out to the surroundings is incredible . Les said, "this airBnb is to us more than just handing the keys", and I think this resume really well how they welcomed us. strongly recommend!
