Bayside Inn is gorgeous! Overlooking the harbor yet removed from noise and bustle, the beautifully appointed rooms are an oasis of comfort. Kathryn and Peter are outgoing, genial hosts who know the area well and enjoy giving suggestions if you ask. Breakfasts were scrumptious - we enjoyed ours outdoors on the deck, watching the heron and gulls nearby. It’s the total vacation dream - Enjoy your stay!!

I love Maine's working waterfront and even though my stay was in the off season there was a wonderful glimpse into our fishing economy and the hard work it takes to keep it happening. The quality of light in the unit was amazing, and viewing the moon across the water was stunning. Easy to access all that the midcoast has to offer within an easy ride, to Rockland and Damariscotta and Boothbay and Wiscasset -- my favorite spots. Beautiful places nearby to hike and explore. Onsite staff people Debbie and Blair were wonderful; when I had an issue with the internet -- it was fixed quickly. Unit was well equipped for a person who loves to cook. Also having a bathtub in a waterfront apartment was a plus since many don't have them. Clean, comfortable, safe-feeling -- all one could want in a Maine coastal vacation. Wish I could have stayed longer but instead I'll just plan to go back again.

The Bayside Inn has so much going for it…an absolutely unbeatable view, kind and helpful innkeepers, a beautiful old (but perfectly preserved) inn with furnishings to match and all this in a picturesque small harbor town. Our stay was just wonderful! We walked both days to great restaurants for dinner, enjoyed full breakfasts prepared by Kathryn, explored the nearby botanical gardens, took a sail, and did a bit of shopping.

A great spot for a relaxing and peaceful weekend on the Maine coast. Jane and Rachel are very welcoming and made our stay very comfortable. The house has a nice old time charm with beautiful landscaping and a pond. It’s about half a mile drive to Fort Popham. Closest beach is not really walkable though as most of the lands are private. Popham beach is public and it’s about one mile away. The drive down from Bath is beautiful with views of large marsh areas. Overall it’s a nice experience.

After an initial mixup about the photos of the room (apparently due to an Airbnb bug) Kathryn was responsive and cleared things up. The mixup was quickly forgotten as we entered the beautiful house with a big dining room, parlor with a piano, and sunroom looking out onto the harbor. Our rooms were immaculate, tastefully furnished, with comfortable beds. The breakfasts were scrumptious: it had been a while since we'd stayed in a proper Ben and Breakfast. (So few Airbnbs these days really are). We met other guests over quiche and coffee and compared notes about our travels in Boothbay and along the Maine coast, which was beautiful of course. We'd definitely go back!

Shirley and Mac are fabulous hosts! I felt welcomed the second I was met at the door and feel like I left friends behind not just hosts. The house is lovely and it was wonderful to relax by the wood stove and spend time sharing stories. The bedroom is cozy, the bed super comfortable and the bathroom is immaculate (as is the entire house) The house is rural and so very peaceful yet just a quick drive to Belfast. I highly recommend a stay here.

Pattie and Chris were a delight! Chris meet us at the gate and showed us around the cabin, returned with hot tea and an engaging conversation about wool (we are from Aotearoa, NZ and have a background in the world-of-wool) and other like minded topics. The cabin is cute, well lite (off the gid) and plenty of blankets for the cooler temperatures.

The house is wonderful and Rick and Linda are great hosts. We really enjoyed the breakfast and Linda's homemade blueberry muffins. Her wonderful artwork and Rick's fabulous woodwork and home made furniture adorns the house. We enjoyed Rick showing us his furniture making shop. The lake is nearby and it's great to take a walk there. Everything is wonderful at their home.

The cottage was a perfect place for a weekend getaway! The space had everything we needed and was very clean. The jacuzzi worked great and was very relaxing. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains and our hosts were very responsive. Easy drive to Augusta/Gardiner. Peaceful and quiet. A lovely spot!

A Cozy, Welcoming Retreat in Midcoastal Maine! I just spent two nights at Clary Lake Bed and Breakfast. It was a wonderful experience. Rick and Linda, the owners, are celebrating their 20th year of running this charming B&B, and their passion for hospitality truly shines. The breakfasts were simply fantastic—delicious, homemade, and clearly prepared with care. Each morning started off with a warm, comforting meal that left me feeling ready for the day ahead. Worth about twenty dollars for a couple estimated. The location is perfect if you're looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of Maine. The setting is serene, and Rick and Linda's local knowledge really helped me discover the hidden gems in the area. It’s also clear that families—especially grandparents with their grandchildren—find Clary Lake B&B to be a wonderful place to make lasting memories. I can see why, as the atmosphere is both welcoming and homey.

I love their old characteristic house and handmade furnitures and decorations. Very homely! Very comfortable in bedroom. 👏🏻

The sweetest host with a cute and cozy place! It was very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay there. The small fridge with breakfast snacks was also a huge plus. Would definitely come back!

Stonehouse is a wonderful place to stay. The house and property are gorgeous! The furnishings are comfortable and include some beautiful antiques. We especially enjoyed our 3- course breakfasts on the veranda overlooking the lake.
