Absolutely loved our stay at this Airbnb! The views of the water were breathtaking—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. It was exactly what we needed for a girls' weekend getaway. The space was cozy and had all the amenities we could ask for. We spent hours on the deck, soaking in the peaceful surroundings. The location was great, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a tranquil escape with stunning views!

We had a wonderful stay. It is a fantastic location, looking out over the river, private, and yet easy access to town—definitely walkable. Check in was flexible and the host communicated well, while leaving us in privacy. The pictures are accurate. There is a charming mix of vintage and modern. Will definitely look to stay at this property again.

We enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Wilma! The place was clean, comfortable & exactly as described. The quaint apartment is the front lower portion of a historic house that is 4-5 houses south of West Street (Litchfield main street). So easy walk to the restaurants & stores.

Jake’s place was easy to find and in a beautiful location. We were 25 mins away from Mohawk mountain which made for a perfect getaway. The kitchen was well stocked and the living space was comfortable. It was a little draughty in the evenings but there were blankets and an open fire to make for a cozy night in.

The house is even better than the pictures. Our group of 5 had a great stay at Angela's cabin! There is plenty of space for movies, board games, and cooking (we had breakfast and dinners at the house). Angela is also a great host -- very responsive and kind. She offered us a late checkout which was super helpful. We'll definitely be back!

We only had a short stay, but John was a great help letting us check in early - they clearly love their home and the town, offering annotated menus of local restaurants and info on many natural features to visit in the area. Delightful decor, many many plants, plenty of linens available, no shortage of room to lounge and relax. Parking was a cinch, checkout directions were clear and simple. Would stay again.

Several of us just came back from a quick overnight trip to Brookfield, and I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in this area of CT. The bottom floor was recently renovated, so the place is really well laid out with plenty of amenities. There is enough to do on property to keep a group of people entertained for a weekend stay if you plan on sticking around the house. The location is incredible, situated in a little nook right on the water with a ton of privacy and a huge backyard. And definitely reach out to Flory in advance as she plenty of recommendations for things to do and where to eat while you're in town. You will have no regrets if you book this place.

What an incredible property literally steps away from Highland Lake. Incredible views and amenities! My son and I had an incredible time fishing off the dock and catching many fish! Definitely a “staycation” location!! Can’t wait to be back.

Michelle was an amazing host! The best I’ve had. She was very nice, quick to respond with any questions my roommates and I had and she was also very accommodating. The Airbnb was very clean, very comfortable and in a good area close to the highway, grocery stores and food spots. I would definitely stay here again.

Jeanne’s place is an amazing jewel in the desert. If you are looking for tranquility in front of the lake, morning walk and peace to find yourself this is the perfect place. It is huge and you can walk anywhere inside the house and find a place of comfort. Thank you for the hospitality and we felt blessed to be at your home.

Peaceful, serene lake house. Loved sitting by the dock and people watching. Comfy, cozy rooms and inviting living room with a huge tv to enjoy movie night and hangout. Many different deck areas make the house more fun. Driveway has minimal space so need to be mindful of how many cars you are taking (fits 2 comfortably and 3 if the neighbor doesn't park too close to your driveway)

Sweet Dotties Cottage was better than expected. It was right on the water and even had a dock for our boat. It was very clean and exactly as described. The screened in porch was great at night. I highly recommend and will be visiting this property again.

Christienne was very responsive and helpful, the house was just as described and the location was so peaceful and quiet. Unfortunately I had to shorten my stay but I would absolutely be back if the opportunity presents itself.

Another Perfect Stay in Morris, Connecticut! We had our third wonderful experience staying at Kevin’s place in Morris! The home was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. The furnishings were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind after a day of exploring Litchfield County. The location was perfect – quiet and peaceful, yet close to local attractions, hiking spots, and charming nearby towns. We really enjoyed the easy access to nature trails and the serene atmosphere of the area. Kevin was a fantastic host, providing great communication and helpful tips about the area. We can’t recommend this place enough – a true gem in Morris!

Stayed at Adam and Nicole’s place for two nights while attending a festival nearby. Was a good size for myself, my daughter and a friend. The place itself is adorable and comfortable. Like staying in the three bears house in the woods with wifi, and gorgeous private wooded backyard and view to the lake across the road. The upstairs was a little stagnant upon arrival, but we opened the windows and put the fans on, which made it much better for sleeping at night. The house book and notes were very helpful. Kitchen and bathroom clean and well stocked! Loved it! Best of all, the hosts were accommodating and communicative. 🥰

My stay at the cottage was nothing short of beautiful and peaceful. Surrounded by nature, I felt completely disconnected from the chaos of everyday life, allowing me to truly unwind. The quiet mornings, fresh air, and cozy atmosphere made it the perfect retreat. The deep soaking tub was a wonderful touch—letting the warm water melt away all stress was exactly what I needed. I left feeling refreshed, reset, and ready to take on whatever comes next.

We enjoyed the stay on the lake. Having two canoes and two paddleboards was great for all kids to enjoy at the same time. The floating mat was a lot of fun. The house is located on a quiet off-shoot of the lake where no loud boats or jetskis can go at high speed so that instead attracted local ducks and fish, which was fun to observe. the slope of the property is a bit steep but the stairs did their job of keeping everyone orderly and safe. The house had a nice warming gift for us, which was well appreciated. The availability of beach chairs and lots of towels was a nice touch. Make sure to explore a local sandy beach nearby, we regret not checking it out from the start of our stay. The Candlewood Lake itself is huge and very peaceful with lots of water activities and other things to do nearby. Highly recommend to others!
