Such a beautiful house which looked even better in person. Katy greeted us upon arrival which was a lovely touch & was very responsive throughout our stay. The house is furnished beautifully & is in a great location with Newmarket high street less than 10mins away. We also went into Cambridge which was only a 25min drive. We would love to return, thank you!

Had a relaxing time at the cottage. The house was lovely and comfortable with lots of little homely touches, the dogs also enjoyed themselves as we were only a short walk from the beach, town was very close also so we could pop in for coffee and a bite to eat. Great location, Claire and Kevin have done a great job of the place to make us feel at home. We will definitely return to Avocet House. Andy, Andrea, Custard &Dottie.

Absolutely magical stay, such beautiful surroundings and the hot tub and fire made it feel like heaven, the cabin was perfect so romantic we were able to watch the stars and relax with a glass of Prosecco in the tub pure bliss!!! We would recommend this stay to everyone and will defiantly be back!! Ben went above and beyond and made my birthday stay exceptional so thank you

Spent a wonderful weekend away here. Location is fantastic, right on the beach. Short car journey to Horsey Gap to see seals! The house was brilliant, had everything we needed and more.

This place is just stunning. Beautifully decorated and kitted out. Everything comfortable and homely. The hot tub was spotless and soooo lovely. Parking right outside your lodge. The setting is idyllic with the fishing lake just in front and it’s so very peaceful. You can feed the ducks as they come up to the lodges. There’s donkeys, geese, ducks, alpacas and peacock/hen. There even a games room on site with a snooker and pool table and dart board with lots of board games etc you can play. A lovely welcome package on arrival that included a bottle of Prosecco, bread, milk and biscuits. Really helpful guy on site that couldn’t do enough for us (think his name was David). Good comms with the owner Sharon. Would highly recommend.

The host Jamie and Wendy made this amazing stay even better, host were very responsive and also gave a nice hamper when we booked (Prosecco went down a treat), the home is beautiful and the children really did not want to leave, all in all a great stay and will 100000% stay again

A beautiful cottage in the heart of Southwold. The cottage is immaculately clean and well equipped. Jayne is great at communicating and gives clear instructions. We parked the car outside the cottage for loading and then drove around the corner to park. Would love to visit again.

For us it’s the best place to stay awesome location amazing views and wildlife my elderly parents had the best time , such a great lodge with everything we needed for our long weekend, the beach is a short walk and twice we had it all to ourselves and the fur baby loved that , I can’t fault anything thank you

We arrived in the dark and the area is very rural and so peaceful. We met Donna whilst taking the dog on a stroll around the farmland. Advised to take a good torch if walking at night. Lovely local pubs but a decent walk away, great villages and takeaways in nearby villages a 5 minute drive away. we stayed in and cooked a lovely meal the first night, perfect for a remote and quiet romantic stay, was sad to leave.
