I came here in the dead of winter for a writer's retreat with a fellow writer- AND I WOULD DO IT AGAIN! It was a beautiful and inspiring place to write. Perched on Andover Lake, it was too cold to frolic outside but that was actually liberating. There was a rocking chair-ottoman combo in the master bedroom looking out on the lake and watching it freeze while I worked on some writing was so peaceful and perfect. When I needed to switch it up, there was a writer's desk with the same view and I can not overstate how nice and productive it was to work from it. I am sure in the summer it's a really fun stay (there were kayaks and a dock for swimming) but I actually loved being isolated in such an idyllic place. It's near a few other homes but the road was low traffic enough for a cold weather run around half the lake. Marcie was super helpful with suggestions for places to eat. We didn't actually use the recs - but that only speaks to how nice the house was and how hard it was to leave!

Everything was perfect ! My family and I had a great time. Looking forward to staying here again in the summer.

Scott's place was great. We were so relaxed and felt right at home. We will be going back which is the best compliment I can give an AirBnB. The views were beautiful!

Krystyn was very responsive with any questions that we had. The place is beautiful and very peaceful. We didn't need to text Krystyn once during our stay there because anything we needed was provided. Our family had an amazing and very relaxing weekend. We would definitely come back here again.

This was our second stay at Seth‘s boathouse and it won’t be our last. Always immaculate and looks just like the pictures. Of course, the hot tub and enjoying coffee on the lower deck was our favorite part, and the beds are so comfortable! If you need a place to stay near New Paltz look no further.

Genuinely one of the nicest home’s I’ve ever had the privilege of staying at and the experience was further enriched by how kind, welcoming, and responsive Jeanmarie was during our stay. The scenery was unmatched. Tons of amenities and a peaceful, serene landscape. Even in the winter time it was a lovely getaway.

We had a very nice winter getaway at Janet’s place. It was super clean and open. There is mindful decor throughout. It is a short ride into town with many funky shops, and about 20 mins to Woodstock which is also great. The hot tub was nice on a cold winter night, and the yard was great for our old dog who was very happy to get to go on vacation. That being said, if you don’t have dogs do NOT worry about any traces of a dog having been there. The place was immaculate.

This Airbnb was truly better than the pictures. This lake house has its own private beach, is close to amazing eateries in Bantam and the house itself is modern and clean on the inside and is an amazing space to spend time. The deck and chairs as well as the fire pit and chairs on the beach make it all an amazing place to relax. Would stay again!!

We had a great stay at Robert's cottage. The lake views are beautiful, and the home was quiet, comfortable and private. Just a few minutes drive into Mystic for restaurants and shops. The hot tub was amazing. We felt right at home and can't wait to stay again. Thanks Robert!

This was the ideal location for my husband and me to spend the holidays with our family who live across the lake. Will and John gave us a warm, friendly welcome and Quinn also checked in to make sure we settled in and had everything needed for a comfy cozy stay. It was easy to communicate with everyone and the location felt peaceful and private but not isolated. I can't imagine a more ideal experience and cannot thank Quinn enough for making this stay the best ever we've had with Airbnb!

Place was very cute. Beds were comfy. Plenty of towels, blankets, pillows. Kitchen had everything we needed. We stayed in the winter so didn't take advantage of the yard but would have loved to use the kayaks or hang out by the water in warmer weather. Great little towns and restaurants to visit nearby and a waterfall a few houses down. Really enjoyed our stay.

If you are looking for simplicity (which we were) this is the perfect place to. I’ve always wanted to stay at a lake house. We couldn’t have asked for more. Serene, tranquil, beautiful are the proper descriptions of the house and the area. We came to Connecticut to visit my daughter and family and they ended up coming to our place instead. Jason was extremely helpful when needed. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the location was beautiful. We stayed for a few days and celebrated our early family Christmas here. It ended up snowing, which made the surrounding Connecticut forest even more beautiful. We found the cabin cozy and peaceful, with the town just 10 minutes away for anything we’d need. I definitely plan to keep this listing in mind for next time I’m visiting family in Connecticut.

From start to finish, this stay was exceptional. The property was even more beautiful than the photos, clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect—peaceful yet close to everything we wanted to explore. The window's made the house airy and bright with an incredible view. What really stood out was Nicole and Robert’s hospitality. They went above and beyond with thoughtful touches like a welcome basket and personalized local recommendations. Communication was prompt, and they truly made us feel at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend 5+Stars

Tony’s cabin is a perfect lakeside escape. The space is clean, well-designed, and bright with natural light. The fireplace is huge and beautiful. The large windows overlook the lake. A deck leads down to the little lakeside area where there are stand-up paddle boards and kayaks. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable with a nice beach area about 10 minutes from the cabin. Cold Spring is 20 minutes away and has yoga classes, great massages, coffee shops, and restaurants. There are seemingly endless hikes within 20 minutes drive of the cabin. We hiked a different park every day. We had the best time relaxing in the cabin and enjoying the beautiful surrounding area!

Definitely would stay there again and recommend to everyone who is looking forward for a little getaway from busy life. Great host, responds quickly if any questions, clear instructions and info made my stay super comfortable and memorable. Great experience.

What an awesome trip! The cabin and backyard was beautiful and we loved the hot tub. We recommend visiting Kent Falls and Craft Kitchen and Bar. Overall totally worth every penny and would love to visit again!

We had an amazing valentines weekend and my dog couldn’t have had more fun ! This private cabin in the neck of the woods can truly be described as a real getaway ! It has a beautiful landscape and is strapped with everything we needed and more. After a full day of hikes in the local area, we found ourselves snowed in and enjoyed some card games. We had an outdoor fire in the stone pit and made some smores. Colleen and Julian were also super accommodating for us due to the weather conditions as well. They are beyond helpful ! Thank you guys ! Will definitely be back !

Such a cozy spot!! A warm cabin nestled in the woods with a gorgeous lake, kayaks and canoes, and a waterfront sauna that is absolutely heavenly. Angela was super responsive and kind, and we hope to be back soon!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Marta’s place. It had everything we needed, clean comfortable beds, kitchen with all necessary equipment, clean and modern bathrooms, a lot of games and books, a cozy living room with a fireplace that created the best atmosphere. We spent our time playing games with the kids, relaxing and cooking. The place is definitely recommended and super close to stores, restaurants, just a quick drive to center of Woodstock. We loved our stay at Ed's cabin. it is a real gem and perfect for a long weekend away. we loved the fireplace, the rocking chairs, the windows with views out onto the lake that make you feel like you're right over the lake and in the trees. there were nice restaurants and hikes in the area, but we were perfectly content watching the lake and reading from the cabin. Ed was perfectly accommodating and extremely generous with his space, couldn't recommend more highly.

We were looking for a quiet, cozy, and private weekend with the exception of a concert at Foxwoods (about 10 miles away). Tim's cabin was the perfect fit for us. The cabin was as described. Tim was very accommodating. The setting is beautiful. A great getaway location close enough to either of the casinos if that's your interest. Looking forward to going back in the future.

It’ll be a memory for a lifetime!
