Had a great stay at Shenandoah Crossing- Chris was very communicative and helpful.

We had a fantastic at the cabin and resort! Here are some details: Cabin: came exactly as described. It had all the basics that you could need, but not much more. More than serviceable but still very much a cabin. Having said that, the beds were extremely comfortable. Resort: the amenities and perks of staying at the resort are really hard to beat. access to the pools, the lake and boat/kayaks, equestrian activities, game room, etc. were really great. And we went when the kids pool and playground were under reservation. Host was an excellent communicator, did everything she could to get us in early early and let us check out late so we could continue to enjoy the beautiful day and amenities. We also went into the town of gordonsville twice, definitely recommend the ice house, chicken restaurant and the barbecue exchange. All and all, it was a great trip and we will definitely be back, especially once the renovations at the resort are complete.

Decided to stay spontaneously & I am so glad we did! Our family had the best time. There was always something to do or see. The cabin was spacious for our family of 4 & very comfortable. We felt right at home. The staff was very accommodating as well. We only had one little hiccup & Dave answered right away, cleared it up immediately. Can't wait to stay again!

Cozy, comfortable cabin in a beautiful location — and convenient to lots of things to do. Friendly and responsive host with clear instructions. Great base for events like a UVA football weekend (what I was doing this weekend — though the setting amongst the changing leaves was an added bonus). I will use this cabin again.

Our dog had the BEST vacation! The fenced in front yard was huge and offered to be a gracious sniff spot. The family of deer on the hill next to us seemed to be paid actors to provide entertainment for the dog, it definitely worked! Inside and outside is immaculate with so many well thought out amenities. The fireplace was the main character for our entire trip, and the stocked wood pile was well appreciated! So many little details made us feel right at home and at peace with nature. We’re hoping to make our way back in the warmer months to be able to enjoy the lake as well!

We had a perfect stay with Kim! The cabin was exactly as advertised and it was a great place to hole up over a cold weekend. My toddler daughter got to play with the cats and feed the horses that are stabled there. My husband enjoyed the rustic setting and the breweries nearby. And I got an amazing prenatal massage on-site. It's a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a little peace and quiet.

My husband, dog and I really enjoyed this place. It is very private and secluded. Making it really lovely to get away. We enjoyed walking around with our dog and just spending time at the cabin itself. Really peaceful. The host was great by sending us a pin because it would have been hard to find otherwise.

We had an amazing experience staying at J’s place. Communication with J was seamless and quick, even when we had a late-night flat tire on our check-in day. The cabin was charming, cozy, and had everything we needed. We were fortunate to meet J and his family, and when they found out I ride horses, they graciously invited me to help out at their barn and even gave me the chance to ride one of their horses, Pete. Their hospitality and kindness were truly exceptional. We highly recommend staying at J’s property—you’ll have a fantastic time and be very well cared for!

We had a lovely stay in Jehani’s lake house! The layout was super relaxing and convenient for a family stay with a toddler. Also there were tons of toys for our daughter to play with all weekend. She was in heaven! We would definitely stay in this home again and communicating with Jehani was also super easy. She sent all of the instructions ahead of time in a message and it made check-in/out seamless! Ideal lake house for a family with young children!

We loved staying at Kim’s for a quick quiet sewing retreat away from the city. We loved walking around the grounds and then cozying up in the beautifully decorated historic cottage.

This was our family's second time here. It's hard to find a place that can accommodate a large group, including a couple seniors with special needs and two young kids. We were lucky to have snow, so had a great time playing in the very large backyard. The kitchen is well stocked, so did all our own cooking and we barely had to leave the house. We hope to be back again soon!

We loved the outdoor spaces and the view of the lake from the living room! Plenty of hikes and wineries to go to in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated their flexibility as well!

Th place is part of a resort so we can use quite a few amenities. Some of the stuff are free (pool and mini golf) while others require a small fee ( rent omg a boat or horseback riding). Overall the place is clean. This is also our first time in a yurit and we really enjoy the experience. Do note that this is an enhanced version or a tent. When it rains. You do hear every drop of it. We did wake up a few times in the middle of the night for that. Overall a great experience though. Definitely will want to come back again.

This property is beautiful, quiet, and the perfect place to get away from the noise. We had a wonderful time here petting the farm animals, walking the dogs around the lake, and enjoying the campfire by the water every night. Couldn’t recommend this place more!
