Very remote and good break away from it all, around 15 minutes to the closest pub. Definitely worth stocking up on food and drinks to make it a fully remote experience. Great quality hot tub, clean cottage and had everything we needed.

Had a really love couple of nights with a group of friends over New Years Eve. Margaret was really helpful, she met us when we arrived and showed us around the house so we knew where everything was. The place is huge so that was really helpful. It looks just like the photos and is in a really lovely place, we could see horses out of our window and at night the stars were really bright. It was a perfect countryside escape and really well suited to a big group of people.

Very beautiful location, the stay was perfect. The host was extremely helpful and lovely and allowed for early check in which was greatly appreciated. Would definitely stay here again for a peaceful break away.

We stayed here for one night and it was amazing, Emma is so lovely and accommodating. The area is very private and quiet, it’s so relaxing and peaceful. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The hot tub was prepared for us, logs were ready for use in the log burner and fire outside and she even left us marshmallows to toast! We loved how sustainable and good for the surrounding animals the area is, especially the pond full of frogs! It was so cute and special, thank you very much Emma!

We had a great stay in the Sheperds Hut. The location is perfect in a small village so very peaceful but also close to go exploring and walking in the Brecon Beacons. It was great having a small oven in the kitchen to cook proper meals. Hot tub was lovely!!

We had a great time at The Lodge, a beautiful house that was home from home, and Rebecca was the perfect host and was very reactive when the hot tub wasn't working due to a leak, Rebecca was very apologetic. The area was also beautiful

We had a fantastic stay at Sorrel House It is a beautiful and quirky place, with loads of space and different social areas. All the bedrooms are spacious and beautifully presented. The hot tub was a nice extra and we also had an extremely tasty meal cooked by the hosts one night. The location is beautiful with good walks near by, the only thing was there didn't appear to be a pub or restaurant in walking distance, however Sorrel House has a very nice bar so we didn't really miss it. Would definitely book another visit. Kevin and Viki are excellent hosts.

We had a very friendly welcome and were left to admire the character of the cottage. I loved spending time in the jacuzzi as did my wife, son and sister in law. We were with our 4 month old daughter. First time taking her away and we felt she was old enough to finally go somewhere different. Tracey provided us with a travel cot which was great. Was a great getaway in a quiet area. Loved spending time in the cottage and I actually watched a DVD after years! A great switch off from city life. Thank you again Tracey. And as everyone mentions. The cakes were great!!

My wife Kate and I had a wonderful,very relaxing short break from our busy working lives. Ian and Christine were friendly and welcoming and the space was clean, warm and homely with everything we needed. In spite of the wet and cold, we had a great time exploring the area and sampling some local food,(and cider of course) before returning to our cosy accommodation.We will hopefully visit again in better weather.

Stayed for one night to meet up with Family but if you wanted to walk the hills this is a brilliant location. Apartment had everything you needed, but the breakfast that Lisa left us as well as other items was simply amazing 👏 thank you so much.

I stayed in the Summerhouse for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! Set in a beautiful garden with fields around, it's so cosy and well-designed with everything you need including a full size fridge with freezer box, crockery, cutlery, glasses, mugs, tea and coffee, fresh milk, orange juice and butter for the delicious home made bread delivered to me on my 1st morning. The bed was comfortable and I slept really well. It's only a few steps to the house to use the toilet and bathroom and the path is extremely well lit if it's dark. Jacqui and David were perfect hosts, super friendly and they offered lots of useful advice, but not intrusive and Barney the gorgeous cocker spaniel is a delight. I would definitely recommend staying here. It's a perfect location for visiting Hereford, the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean and is one of the best value and most friendly Airbnb's that I've stayed in 😊

Wonderful long weekend at Flagstone Cottage, the most peaceful place we’ve ever been, no car noises whatsoever and beautiful scenery. Cottage was exactly as described. We asked for the BBQ to come back out and Clare actually brought out all the outside furniture for us to use which was a nice surprise when we got back from our day trip. Our 5yo daughter loved the mezzanine bedroom and being able to have multiple baths a day (we only have a shower at home). The walk from Llanthony Priory up Hatterhall hill is amazing and the pint in the priory grounds at the end was very scenic and rewarding! Hay-On-Wye is well worth a visit, Abergavenny also.

I loved everything about this place, the bed was very comfy and the location was perfect. The bath and shower are wonderful and so is the soap and shower gel and linens available. I loved the eco friendly toilet paper too. Two points to note: there was no chopping board I could see? Fortunately most of my food was already prepared so it was not a big deal. And I believe it is the hot water tank that makes a noise intermittently? So, if you're a light sleeper like me, you'll need ear plugs despite being in very quiet and peaceful countryside. I loved my stay here it was very special and I would stay again when visiting the brecons!

I and my husband had a wonderful stay at John’s place. The bnb was as described in the listing and location was really nice & peaceful. John & his lovely wife made us feel comfortable and treated us with delicious sourdough and home harvest. They had couple of animals in their farm including white peacocks, horses etc. which were pleasing to look at. We hope to visit again sometime in future and would definitely recommend it to anybody searching for stay in the area. Thank you again for hosting us 😇

Absolute home from home, from the pictures and descriptions it was exactly as we expected. Phil was there to meet us when we arrived, showed us round and explained everything before leaving us to it, but ensuring we knew we could contact him at any time if we needed to. Extremely comfortable, everything you could need, and fantastic to find some where that allows 3 dogs as that can often be a barrier when looking for some where to stay. We would definitely recommend and return if in the area again.

Great few nights away for Halloween! Cosy barn tucked away, surrounded by trees and fields. Swimming in the heated pool at night in October was great. Geoff was always at hand with any queries or recommendations. The Halloween decorations was a nice touch for the kids to keep pranking each other throughout our stay. Great setting for a general chil out with films and board games. Hartlebury Castle was a great few hours out and not too expensive. The Willow and Boar was 2 minutes up the road for a nice breakfast. Would highly recommend The Pool house! Thanks to Geoff and Alan!

It’s a lovely tranquil place and was everything we needed while we visited the Royal Welsh winter fair. Check in was easy the apartment was lovely and warm for when we arrived and the instructions left were clear and easy to follow The only negative thing I’d have to say is that on the Air B&B listing it puts the cottage in the middle of Builth but it’s actually 15-20 minutes away But this is definitely a lovely spot and I will recommend to anyone who needs a place to stay

Amazing gem! The hosts were lovely and helpful, the cottage beyond expectations. Very well equipped, every little detail was thought of. We enjoyed the pool and garden too. Location is a good base for exploring the Cotswolds. We loved our whole stay there.

The perfect escape! Farahnaz and Paul are really helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The Summerhouse is so secluded and cosy. it really is a proper escape from the "Busy Life" Shakurs on the corner is a great place to eat if you get the chance. Just finished a two night stay at this fabulous cottage. we had the best time to just relax & spend time together. could dip in the pool when we wanted to or take in the beautiful views. Katherine is a great host & we hope to return to this great place of retreat for peace & serenity

Lovely hidden family staycation! Lovely location with loads of parking Easy check-in 13 mins drive to Breacon! Brilliant hot tub with amazing views (Only comment would be Chlorine content was a tad high for anyone with sensitive skin) Kitchen and bathroom were clean and cosy! Kitchen is fully equipped with amenities (Sauce pots and trays were available but no frying pans which is no big deal) Lovely welsh biscuits on arrival! Definitely recommend for a lovely retreat!

The retreat is in a beautiful location , surrounded by hills, countryside and lovely walks. The property was beautifully clean and welcoming and the swimming pool is an amazing facility. Everything was perfect , and we will definitely be back.
