Gerrit’s place was perfect for our family gathering. It was near the lake and extremely family friendly. He was great was communication and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend!

The Bougie Bungalow was so wonderful! This was a fun reminiscent family trip back to Norfolk to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. It’s well appointed, great aesthetic and design - spacious, yet cozy and welcoming! Lori was great at communication! My wife and I have been Super Hosts and have also traveled the world with Airbnb - highly recommend.

This place is a gem. It is has four separate rooms in the shop. It is a fantastic place to unwind and hang out. The bedroom has a queen and king bedroom with the option of two other very comfortable pull out bed in separate spaces. The kitchen and bathroom are right as you walk in and on the first floor. Such a perfect get away and lovely space. Steve was so helpful and the space was adorable with all the antiques and farm gems!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful farmhouse! The layout was perfect for us, with the game room on the other side of the house offering a fun space to unwind. The large kitchen island and well-equipped butler's pantry made Christmas cookie baking a breeze! We loved starting our mornings by watching the sunrise and relaxing in the hot tub right out front. Evenings were made extra special with quick s'mores around the fire pit. The Christmas tree added a festive touch, making our holiday stay feel extra cozy. The peaceful and scenic surroundings were the icing on the cake. We couldn’t have asked for a more serene and beautiful location. We hope to return and celebrate more holidays here in the future. Worked well for our stay while pheasant hunting for 3 days. House was clean and had a well-equipped kitchen. Comfy chairs and classic woodwork in the living room. Garage worked will for our dogs and the entry worked well for storing hunting clothes/gear. Dogs are not allowed in the house. There were many TVs with ROKU access. Some network channels were not available, such as Sunday night football. Pheasants had to be cleaned off site. All bedrooms are upstairs with the main bath, which has only a tub. A second small bath off of the kitchen has the only shower. Neighborhood seemed safe and quiet.

Our group stayed in both apartments (A & B). Both units have been recently renovated with comfortable furniture, great kitchen, nice linens and mattresses. Unit B has 3 bedrooms, but only 1 bath; 4 of us managed, but it was rather tight. Josie, a great hostess, had to clean bathtub upon our arrival, which she did in minutes after being contacted. Unit A has 3 bedrooms but 2 baths and is much larger. A minor issue was the presence of a few bugs...nothing serious, just a bit annoying. All in all, we enjoyed our 4 nights there and would definitely recommend A and secondly B for staying in Norfolk.

I absolutely loved how clean it was, how responsive Michelle was. It was quiet and peaceful. Very close to the water, within walking distance. Felt like home and comfortable.

This was a beautiful home that can accommodate so many people. It was chilly for outdoor activities and we were busy, but it would have been great to sit in the sunroom, play horseshoes, or eat at the picnic table if we had had time and the weather had been warmer.
