I visited Kentucky for a few days with a group of friends and family and this home was the perfect stay for us. We came to visit downtown Louisville and some of the nearby distilleries. The home was the real shiner of the trip. The view of the lake every morning was beautiful, the pool table and games kept us entertained, the kitchen was large, and the hot tub was great for the cool weather. Everything about this house was perfect for my group and would definitely recommend it to those wanting to have somewhere comfortable and spacious for visiting this area.

This cabin was the perfect place for our family to celebrate the holidays together. The Christmas tree and decorations really added to our enjoyment. Keith and Leslie have taken the extra step to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. We were especially impressed at how well stocked the kitchen is. Keith and Leslie are such wonderful and accommodating hosts. We look forward to returning again (perhaps when the weather is warmer, I would really have enjoyed having coffee on the front porch or watching the sun set before bedtime)!

This house was perfect for our family (8 adults). Julie was very responsive, even when we locked ourselves out of the house late on night. Nice neighborhood too!

We had a great stay at Kristen's place. We had 12 people and had no problems with the space or sleeping arrangements! Everyone was comfortable. The space is very nice and updated well, beds were comfy and the fact that there are 5 bathrooms in that old of a house is amazing! Overall, it was a 10/10!!!

Cliff was very helpful and responsive, we were in town on a job so there was plenty of space for people who don’t normally travel together. It was a very cold week so the hot tub was just what we needed! Would absolutely recommend.

One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in! Lots of extra little amenities, the decor was unique and well thought out, and the location was perfect. We travel to the area often and would definitely book again.

Very spacious home in a good location. 20 minute drive to downtown and many restaurants and shopping located only a few minutes away.

This was the perfect stay for our group! Plenty of space to hang out and a well stocked kitchen. It was close to downtown Louisville and plenty of activities!

This was our second stay at Guest House on Story, and was definitely as good, if not better than the first. Kim is an excellent and responsive host who strives to make sure your stay is exactly what you need. We had a large group of adults visiting Louisville to celebrate a birthday weekend, and we had plenty of space to spread out and relax. The area has fun walkable bars, breweries, and cocktail lounges, along with restaurants! Highly recommend Tartan House and Biscuit Belly. Guests should be aware as others have mentioned that given the location in Butchertown, there is occasionally a notable smell outside. It very much depends on the direction of the wind and day/time of the week. Do know though that you cannot smell this inside the house! We caught a whiff outside here and there, but definitely not the entire time. Highly recommend Guest House on Story, and I'm sure we will stay again when in Louisville with a large group.

Rented this BnB for a chill bachelorette weekend before my wedding. The house has so much character with a GORGEOUS kitchen! The beds were super comfortable and there was so much space for me and my bridal party to relax and tackle some wedding crafts. The area is super quiet and peaceful, we had no issues with noise or bad traffic. Thanks for having us! Will recommend this place to any friends looking to visit Louisville without wanting to be around all the busyness.

ANDREW WAS AN EXCELLENT HOST. APARTMENT WAS COZY AND JUST WHAT WE WERE EXPECTING. IT WAS GREAT FOR OUR WEEKEND GETAWAY. SHORT WALK TO OUR DESTINATION. WILL DEFINETLY BE STAYING AGAIN WHEN WE COME TO TOWN!! :)

This place is a fabulous value for money. Nice quiet neighborhood, private entrance, and just enough parking for two cars in the driveway. I did not see that the host had to be contacted prior to getting the check-in instructions (including the door code to get in!). This is not a downside by any means, but it’s something I wish I had realized sooner!

My family and I loved Ross place!!! His communication was quick and left very clear instructions. Upon arrival, he even left music on to welcome us. The home was exactly as pictured and was very peaceful. It accommodated our needs and highly recommend 👌.

We had a short trip for one night on our way to Tennessee, but our stay was lovely! Just what my family needed!! We would definitely stay again if ever in the area! Very clean and accommodating with tons of space for the family to feel at home. Also very kid friendly for my little ones! I don’t think my daughter got off the play fort until we left. Tons to do and walk to in town! Very peaceful and loved walking through town. Hosts were great too! Thanks again!! Hope to be back again :)

Our family of 4 were extremely comfortable in this wonderful, convenient location. Easy check in, great amenities. The pool area was a ton of fun and our kids had a great time. We met Keegan briefly and he was kind and welcoming. Definitely recommend and will try to stay again if we are in town.

Our family of 6 stayed between Christmas and New Years. Like Alicia and Glenn, we also homeschool our four kids (ages 12-6). We were worn down from the holidays and daily life, so were looking for a refreshing time away from home. Our stay was exactly that. The home and property were extremely peaceful being out in the woods. We did several trail walks and explored the creeks around the property. The kids thought the circular nature of the home, and hot tub were fun too. I appreciated the various Christian decor in the home, it gave me some things to think about as we hung out. But even more than all of that, we had a wonderful chat with Alicia and Glenn that was very refreshing to our spirits. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway that is focused on Jesus and the holy spirt this is the place for you. Make sure you read all the description in the listing so you know what you are renting. If you do that, you'll be very pleased :) In Christ, Dave & Maura

This place is a slice of heaven. It’s quiet and perfect for a group of family / family friends / and for myself a bachelorette group. We enjoyed the tranquility and the feeling of right at home! The house was cute and clean. You get your bang for your buck here. My only advice would be if you book, bring a car that can climb a hill, as the home is on top of (what feels like) mountain! But makes for gorgeous views.

Ramona and Steve were fantastic hosts. They made us feel right at home. Their location is beautiful and peaceful and just good for the soul! If my family and I are ever in the area again we will definitely love to visit again!

Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Louisville. The property had EVERYTHING we needed, close to the highway and literally everything FUN and kid friendly, groceries, parks, restaurants, shopping and access to the cutest, trendy neighborhoods! Amy and her family were amazing hosts. The house was clean and stocked for our long stay with towels, dishes, pots/pans, coffee - we needed nothing! We had the best time, felt safe, and will most likely rent this property again!

We’ve stayed here several times over the last few years and we plan on continuing to do so on our annual Kentucky trip.
