We stayed at Marco’s apartment with our 1-year-old baby and spent three wonderful weeks there. The accommodation is located in the sunniest part of the island. From the 4th floor, there’s a stunning view of the ocean from both terraces where you can watch the sunset too. The living room is bathed in sunlight all day and overlooks a peaceful park above the plaza. In my opinion, the apartment is even cozier than it appears in the photos and is fully equipped with everything you might need. We cooked and did laundry quite a lot during our stay. There are several restaurants, a hair salon, and a toy shop in the same building as the apartment. Across the street, there’s a greengrocer, and just a few steps away is a shopping mall. The playground is located in park just a block away from the apartment, and at the beginning of the street, there’s a traditional bakery filled with local delicacies. Communication with Marco was very smooth, he’s truly a wonderful host!

Wir waren als zwei Freundinnen dort und uns hat die Unterkunft sowie Lage sehr gut gefallen. Sehr praktisch im Gegensatz zu anderen ist das gratis parken auf dem Grundstück. Es war alles sauber und bei Fragen war der Verwalter Edgar jederzeit zu erreichen. Besonders schön ist, dass bei klarem Himmel von beiden Balkonen der wunderschöne Sonnenuntergang bewundert werden kann.

What can I say… we have stayed in several Airbnbs abroad and in the Uk and this one hits the spot. Betty was a complete star. The location is perfect in every way. Restaurants, bus stop, Madeira Forum which has a fantastic supermarket and every shop you might need. The apartment was spotless, homely, lots of extras left to help in the first day or so. Then the views.. oh what a delight. My dad who has difficulty walking had an amazing time looking out to sea.. watching the weather and boats. Private car parking space for the hire car.. all on level ground with lifts which aided with the accessibility we needed! Utterly brilliant already planning two more holidays with Betty! Thank you Betty.

Fátima and José, were amazing hosts. They were very communicative and addressed all of our needs. We loved the house and the views. We would love to book again in the future.

Vi spenderade en fin vecka i Yanas lägenhet. Allt fanns på plats, välstädat och fräscht. Lägenheten kändes nyrenoverad och kyl, tvätt m.m. kändes som nya. Och utsikten mot Funchal var fantastisk. Vi återkommer gärna.

Das Apartment liegt sehr zentral. Es gibt viele Restaurants in der Nähe, ein großes Einkaufszentrum ist direkt um die Ecke. Alle Buslinien sind schnell zu erreichen und auch zu Fuß konnte man viel entdecken. Die Markthalle ist auch einen Besuch wert, genauso der Botanische Garten und der Orchideen Garten muß lobend erwähnt werden. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch werden wir ganz sicher wieder bei Patricia wohnen, es hat uns sehr gut gefallen!

Die gesamte Anlage ist der sehr sauber und ruhig. Die Wohnung ist modern und klar geschnitten. Die Ausstattung der Küche für einfaches Kochen gut ausgestattet. Leider liegt der Balkon den ganzen Tag im Schatten (Reisezeitraum im Februar), im Sommer ist man damit bestimmt gut aufgehoben. Wenn man Sonne möchte geht man ein wenig und ist am Pool. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

At first I did not think much about it. but then I absolutely loved it! right by the water, an easy walk to a very cool bar on the right and a place to go swimming, great vibe, and another easy walk to a nice village on the left. It's so relaxing, easy going, authentic. My wife and i had a great time. I recommend the location most of all.

Great location for being out of the thick of it, but close enough for regular buses into town, and with spectacular views over the harbour.

Perfection! Dina is lovely, great communication, easy instructions, helpful and responsive. Apartment was amazing, peaceful, comfortable, clean, with everything you need and a view you could sit and look at all day. Supermarket, bars, restaurants and beach all few minutes walk. Would go back tomorrow if I could.

Det bedste Airbnb ophold vi har været på. Vi var to familier, 10 mennesker i alt incl store teenagere, og der var god plads til alle. Huset er en charmerende gammel villa, med opvarmet pool, udsigt og i gå afstand til centrum. Vi kunne ikke have ønsket os mere. Antonio er den perfekte vært, var hurtig og hjælpsom da der kort før vores ferie opstod problemer med vores booking(som vi selv var skyld i). De aller bedste anbefalinger herfra.

Das Haus weiß zu überzeugen mit persönlichen Touch und toller Ausstattung! Die Highlights sind der Garten, der Pool und die geschmackvoll hergerichteten Badezimmer. Auch die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war reibungslos und verlief sogar proaktiv, so wurde das fehlende Tischtennis-Netz ohne Hinweis eigenständig nachgereicht. Wir würden wiedergekommen!

Our stay in Madalena was fantastic - absolutely amazing views of the mountains and the ocean, immediately felt right at home. We stayed for 3 days and it was exactly the relaxing home we needed after long days of hiking. Filipe was extremely responsive and gave us a huge list of recommendations for the entire island. Nettes Haus oberhalb von Ribera Brava. Die Lage direkt an der Straße hatte uns zunächst etwas zweifeln lassen, aber da ist recht wenig los und von daher kein Problem. Morgens 7:45 und 8:30 kommt die Bäckerin vorbei und auch andere Lieferanten würden einen versorgen wenn man nicht den Berg hinunter möchte. Gute Ausgangslage für Ausflüge in verschiedene Ecken. Nette Begrüßung durch den Gastgeber - würde hier wieder hin fahren.

Maria&Luara were fantastic and helpful hosts. The location of this apartment cannot be underestimated.This is the perfect location for Funchal and day tripping the entire Island. Having a place to park a car is bonus too as this gives flexibility to tour the island by car or take off on foot around Funchal.The property is steps to all the great restaurants,shopping and parks not forgetting the harbor right infront of the apartment too.Lots to explore on foot nearby thanks to the location.The balcony/terrace is huge and wraps around most of the apartment giving a spectacular almost 360 panoramic view of Funchal harbor, city and surrounding hills.This view is amazing at night and especially around Christmas time as absolutely everything is lit up with Christmas lights all around the city and up and down the hills and this balcony is truly the best place to see all this while relaxing with a drink on a mild evening. Also the view of the sunrise was also spectacular from the balcony deck.

We were three adults and the apartment was perfect for us. A short walk to the center. The balcony with a view. Plenty of space. Equipped with everything you need. Fantastic with the garage parking. We enjoyed staying here and would stay here again if we come back to Funchal.

Chayanne is an attentive and kind host who went out of his way to make our stay extra comfortable, and gave us useful recommendations for our trip. The flat is peaceful and spacious and has everything you need; great selection of crockery, knives and pans, and one could easily stay a month here comfortably. There is a decent sized pool and a cosy balcony to enjoy the views. I highly recommend this place and I hope to come back here next time!

Wir haben den Urlaub in der Wohung sehr genossen. Morgens den Pool alleine genießen. Leckeres Frühstück auf der Terrasse einnehmen mit Meerblick....Supermärkte gleich um die Ecke. Tagsüber tolle Wanderungen und Ausflüge unternehmen, entweder zu Fuß, mit dem Bus, der gleich an der Straße losfährt oder mit dem Auto, das in der Tiefgarage parkt und am Abend den Tag auf der Terrasse bei einem Wein mit Wellenrauschen ausklingen lassen. Gerne haben wir uns auch etwas Leckeres in der super ausgestatteten Küche gekocht. Wir haben nichts vermisst und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Bei Fragen war Susana gerne behilflich. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Urlaub bei Susana !

This was my 3rd stay here. An excellent place which is in a great location, with it being fairly quiet and only a 5/10 minute walk to plenty of restaurants and bars. Rooms very good, Kitchen seemed to have what we needed, and the terrace is superb. Can sit out in the sun or in the shade, lovely for a quiet breakfast looking at the sea. Around a 20-25 minute walk to the old town but buses and taxis easy and cheap enough if you cannot go that far. Will more than likely be back next year. 10/10

Appartement très agréable et tout équipé (matériel de cuisine, linge de bain, guides pour les visites,...). Calme avec une grande terrasse profitant d'une magnifique vue mer, village peu animé mais avec tout de même quelques restaurants et bars, idéalement situé pour visiter Madère. Nelson a été très réactif lors de nos échanges. a visiter sans hesitations
