My friends and I had an AMAZING trip. I can confidently say that this is the best place I have stayed in Asheville and its surrounding area. The cabin is secluded so there is no need to worry about neighbors or heavy traffic. We got full use out of the fire pit with the river view which was very relaxing, the owners left some things to help us get started and the stores are nearby (less than 10 minutes) if more wood is needed. The hot tub was VERY nice, you can enter and exit from the bathroom which makes rinsing off easy and convenient. The bathroom floor is made from stones and at first it may feel weird on your feet but after a day you get used to it and it feels like a massage each time you enter it. The indoor fireplace was my favorite part, there are rocking chairs inside that you can pull up and I almost fell asleep at it multiple times. I can confidently say that I will book this cabin again in the future. I had the BEST birthday trip here and can’t wait to visit again!

Came up for a girls weekend away, thought we were just going to relax a bit, hang out in the hot tub, lil massage… What we experienced was so. much. more than just a “lil weekend away”. When we arrived, both of us have been stressed, dealing with a lot going on and big life changes. Anxious being our normal states of being. When we left, that was no longer the case. Sure we still have lots going on in our lives, and the anxiety will never fully go away - but the ability to fully decompress and relax, combined with the incredible Healing Spa Package #1 was what the doctor ordered and more! The amount of stress and tension that left my body and soul is indescribable, and I can’t wait to come back to visit. This place is absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous, the hot tub is the perfect temperature, and Reva is one of the kindest, most thoughtful, wonderful people I’ve met. So very grateful to have come across Compassionate Expressions, and I can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I wanted a tranquil retreat after the hustle and bustle of our destination wedding in the Dominican Republic. Lauren’s place exceeded expectations and was everything we needed! Will definitely book again the next time we are in the area !!!

Cute little cabin in an Absolutely peaceful, remote area. We loved the bridge to get to the cabin, little river in the front yard, fruit trees full of apples all around, the hot tub and seeing the horses in the field. Would definitely go back. Highly recommend.

A lovely cabin with lots of amenities! Definitely worth the stay, with lots to do in the surrounding area, and great if you just want to stay in and have a cozy cabin getaway.

Nice location in a great little town right near the Appalachian Trail. Had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Greatly exceeded our high expectations! beautiful and relaxing place to turn off. Elizabeth and Daron are very friendly and answered our questions quickly and took us on a really cool tour of their farm. The log cabin structure is old but the inside is basically brand new. Very comfortable and with all the modern touches you'd expect. We were happy to find it doesn't have a TV - who needs that in a cabin on a farm in the woods? we have already booked a return trip with our toddlers.

We truly enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect weekend getaway that we needed. The bed slept perfectly. We enjoyed the fireplace lying in bed. Breakfast on the porch swing and a dip in the hot tub was the perfect start to the day! We’ve been telling everyone how perfect this cute little cabin was. We will definitely be back!!!

Marie and Kevin's place was wonderful. i needed a place to stay while I attended a class for work. It was peaceful and cute and privet. Perfect for me to relax, study, and recoup. Very clean. Had everything I needed. It was a little scary the widing road to get there up the hill BUT worth it. I'm already looking forward to going back in the spring for my next class. I would definitely recommend people to stay here.

Beautiful cabin with everything you need for a little retreat away from it all and plenty of space for the whole family. Groceries and restaurants are only about 10 minutes away and plenty of day trips nearby if you need to get out.

my boyfriend and I stayed at Claire’s mountain cabin for valentines and had the best weekend! The house was super cute and the Shamans hill made for some cute experiences with the animals. Definitely recommend!

If I could give Chuck and Valda’s place 6 stars, I would! The location is beautiful and peaceful. The cabin has everything you might need and it stayed nice and cozy on the cold winter days I stayed. The sound of the creek was incredible. Chuck and Valda are accommodating and generous, they brought me a snack and went way above and beyond getting me out when I got snowed in. I can’t wait to stay with them again!

Enjoyed our honeymoon here! The host were attentive and helpful in town they have the best diner of home cooked meals. Beautiful views and a nice hot tub! Definitely will be coming back

This is a beautiful mountain cabin that is in a great location near Mars Hill. It is very comfortable, well decorated and had all the amenities that I could ever ask for. The area is absolutely beautiful and quiet. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area and highly recommend. Communication with the host was great and I had no issues throughout the stay. Five stars!!

Had a lovely stay at Nic and Carrie's! Everything was exactly as described and the cabin included many thoughtful touches like extra blankets, space heaters, coffee, spices, flashlights, a lighter for getting the fire started (which we had forgotten so thank you!), and a full supply of firewood. The bed and pillows are also incredibly comfortable. Maybe it was the fresh mountain air, the hiking, the cozy cabin, or just the pillows themselves, but we've never slept so well. You definitely do need 4 wheel drive to get up their driveway, which we didn't have, but we were able to park at the bottom and get our cardio in by walking up to the top. The views were worth it. Would absolutely stay here again!

It was a wonderful relaxing stay. I wish I could have stayed longer and had a chance to explore the area more. comfy bed and soft leather chair by the fireplace. note: house is allllll the way up the mtn so keep going in you are arriving after dark. the house is at the end as far as you can go up.

The hosts were welcoming and quick to respond. A truly refreshing escape—we can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful time on our trip! We had a few bumps in the road which had nothing to do with the house and Kenneth was beyond helpful which made our time at this place even better! I highly recommend to anyone that is thinking about staying here to do it! We will definitely be back next year and we can’t wait!

Modern luxury in the mountains! Deb's log cabin was comfortable and well appointed with everything you need. Comfortable beds, quality cookware and knives, washer and dryer, and high speed Internet. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. I plan to stay here again.

This tiny little cabin was absolutely perfect. The location is amazing, close enough to the city, but far enough to have peace and quiet. Close to the ski resort, and a lovely hilltop setting. The hot tub was amazing after a cold day out. We would love to stay again!
