We had a large group at the compound by the swinging bridge for New Years and it was absolutely ideal! We played games by the fire place, cooked delicious meals, relaxed in the sauna and hot tub, danced and watched movies in the game room, laughed around the fire pits, played frisbee in the lawn, and watched an incredible double rainbow over the river after a thunderstorm. The beds were very comfortable and the vibe was cozy and lived in. Taki was great to communicate with and we’re very thankful to him and his family for creating such a sanctuary. We definitely hope to return!

Moonlight Trail is a magical getaway! The house is gorgeous and beautifully maintained, thoughtfully equipped, and offers the perfect mix of group fun and solo relaxation. Our group of friends loved the variety of activities—ping pong tournaments, soaking in the hot tub, cooking family-style meals in the well-stocked kitchen, and unwinding around the fire pit with books and conversation. The location is so ideal for nature lovers and hikers/trail runners, with a Shenandoah National Park trailhead just steps from the house. A group of our crew tackled the Broad Hollow/Pine Hill Gap trail (about 1500 ft ascent!) and were rewarded with stunning waterfalls and breathtaking views of Hot Mountain and Short Mountain. The combination of seclusion, endless activities at the house, and easy access to breweries, distilleries, and charming Sperryville made this trip unforgettable. Already dreaming of coming back!

Beautiful countryside and lovely renovated farm house that captured rural life. Peaceful and very relaxing with a stream flowing near the edge of the property along with cows feeding beyond a wooden fence. We enjoyed several evenings by the fire pit in the Adirondack chairs. We also enjoyed the hot tub on a couple of occasions. We fixed all of our meals on property including using the gas barbecue grill one evening. It was great having a dishwasher and a walk-in pantry to store all our groceries. We hiked 4 days in the Shenandoah National Park and appreciated having a washer and dryer on site. The three beds were quite comfortable. The two full baths, each with a shower, were quite nice and my wife enjoyed soaking in the large tub one night. Would definitely stay at this location again.

A beautiful home in a very beautiful and peaceful setting. If you need to get away to recharge, this would be a place to do it.

David and his wife Natalie went above and beyond in preparation for our stay. We hosted our wedding on the property and David was eager to help make the days leading up to the wedding weekend go smoothly and stress-free. Both home are beautiful, the pool and hot tubs are fun and relaxing, and the property is peaceful and private. All of our guests enjoyed themselves at the wedding and their stay on the property.

This house is in a gorgeous setting with great views. We were greeted by a beautiful horse coming over to check us out as we turned in the driveway. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and spread across 3 levels and above the detached garage which gave an unusually good balance of togetherness and privacy. The kitchen was well equipped. The extra game table in the great room got a lot of use on a frigid winter weekend. The hosts were very responsive and even brought over firewood before our stay when we inquired about where we could purchase. This is very close to towns and wineries but feels bucolic and peaceful. Highly recommend DuCard Winery where we spent a fabulous afternoon hanging out with live music, food, and wine.

This experience has to be the finest in the Airbnb system. Certainly the best I have experienced. Handy to multiple wineries. Short drive to Syline Drive, Blueridge Parkway, and Shenandoah National Park. I am going to encourage my kids to include it as a weekend getaway place. Looks like he is working to add a sauna. Best host experience I have ever had.

Beautiful villa in private peaceful surroundings. We loved chatting to Jack who was very welcoming, friendly and generous. We enjoyed our room very much and the breakfast that was cooked by Jack himself. We got a true B&B experience which is more and more rare to find these days. Good location to explore the Shenandoah from - we went to Luray caverns, skyline drive and Monticello - all within not too far driving distance.

My 5 sisters and I decided to do a winter trip this year and chose Massanutten ski resort. The house is about a 10 minute drive. House was exactly as described with plenty of space for all of us even when we needed some alone time away from each other, the house is big enough to do so! There was a plumbing issue on a Friday which was a little stressful, but Darwin was able to get someone out quick to get it taken care of. He was very quick to respond and even took the time to call to make sure he got accurate details of the issue. Will definitely keep his homes in mind if ever back in the area!

What an incredible stay! The home was spotlessly clean—truly one of the cleanest Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in. Every detail was pristine, which made it feel so welcoming and comfortable. It was also beautifully and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy yet stylish atmosphere throughout. The outdoor space was just as impressive—peaceful, private, and perfect for relaxing. We especially loved the fenced-in hot tub area, which made it easy to unwind while our dogs stayed safe nearby. And the sauna was such a cool and unexpected bonus! The location is secluded enough to feel like a true escape, yet close to wineries, restaurants, and everything else you might need. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. We had the most relaxing weekend with family and friends—this place is a true gem. We can’t wait to return!

Great, quiet house by the river. The room and the bed are very comfy and the breakfast is fabulous! Jack is a very kind and nice host. Would recommend anyone to stay at his home for the weekend.

We really appreciate you sharing your cabin with us even if it was only for a few nights. Amazing size place for a couple to have a great stay. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching the nature all around us. The hot tub was the cherry on top. Walked around the property and down to the river as well. Very peaceful. The space offered everything we needed and then some. I would love to come back to spend more time if the opportunity presented itself. The owners or managers were very receptive to letting us check in early as long as the opportunity was available. Emailed and heard right back. You are missing out if you don’t spend time at this location!

Be ready to unplug—the WiFi is slow, making streaming difficult but encouraging a true escape into nature. Highlights include a screened-in hot tub, a cozy fire pit, and abundant wildlife like birds and deer. Highly recommended for anyone seeking quiet and relaxation. Would absolutely return!

We absolutely loved our stay here, and our dog loved being able to run around the property! It is such a beautiful cabin and was so clean when we arrived. The hosts were amazing, and reached out to us before we arrived to see if we had any questions, and even left us a welcome gift! We will definitely be back!!

My stay was amazing the views are amazing especially in the hottub! Loved the grill we had everything we needed to feel right at home. Will definitely go back in the fall time 🙂

We loved our stay at Mark’s cabin in the foothills of the Shenandoah mountains! The cabin is beautiful with modern, comfortable furniture and beds, and kitchen well equipped! We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings and relaxing in the hot tub as well! Mark was very friendly and helpful to make sure we were doing well. We would definitely stay again…very peaceful and central to hiking in the Shenandoah’s!
