The perfect relaxing cabin. A short drive from gorgeous wineries and a quick walk to a beautiful hiking trail where we found over 12 mushroom species. Highly recommend this host!

The cabin was wonderful. It was very clean. The fire place and hot tub made it the perfect couples get away. The location is very peaceful and tranquil. Jess gave us great recommendations for winery’s and for hiking trails.

This Airbnb was incredibly clean and cozy. The bedrooms are spacious, and the main areas of the house are inviting and comfortable. The log cabin feel of the house is adorable. Conveniently located to everywhere we needed to go in the area. We would definitely stay again in the future!

We loved our short stay here! We wanted to get away from the city and this spot was perfect. Its the cutest cabin with everything you need for your stay! We went to a few wineries nearby and the locals were very friendly, overall great experience and I'd definitely recommend, would love to come back! 😊❤️

Wonderful place and best cabin since it had a nice hot tub. It was beautiful under the stars. Pup friendly and our old girl was sniffing and exploring like a young pup. Even though it was super cold at night, it was cozy in the cabin. Super cute place and since the TVs were in the bedrooms, we played board games and talked in the living room. Lots of wonderful vineyards nearby. Highly recommend and will be back in the summer to enjoy the kayaks and hiking trails.

A gem! Dongola Bay is even nicer in person than in the already lovely photos. It’s got everything you need (& more) for a great vacation :-)

Great amenities and very clean. My husband enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. It was really wonderful to wake up every morning and have coffee on the second story deck among the tree tops. We just wished that the beautiful, wooded property directly around the house was accessible to guests. However, it was fairly easy to drive to a lot of really cool places to hike.

I was just there for an overnight stay but the place was wonderful. The hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely consider it for a family stay when we come down exploring. Its a perfect base "camp".

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the serene surroundings and the cozy, well-maintained cabin. The cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect escape from everyday life. Linda, our host was incredibly welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We had a really good time & enjoyed our stay! We tried Driver Down, a local restaurant Brittan recommended and it was so good!! Brittan was very nice & helpful!! We will definitely have to come back this summer, and stay longer!! If you’re thinking about booking, DO IT!!!

House was clean and comfortable. It had a fully stocked kitchen, nice beds and furniture. Hannah was an excellent host. Driveway is a bit steep and we picked a weekend that it had snowed, but they got it plowed so we had no trouble getting in and out with our car. The location in the woods was just beautiful, especially with fresh snow on the ground. Great location in Shawnee National Forest area. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another weekend in the fall before we left!

Even the grey skies and rain did not dampen our stay at this beautiful cabin. We hiked the Little Grand Canyon, and then once back at the cabin, ping-pong, board games, cards, comfy couches, and beds made for a relaxing weekend. Our host provided snacks, lots of coffee, and the right kitchen supplies. We would stay again when in the area.

Miranda's place is perfection! Cozy, impeccably clean and peaceful. Miranda makes you feel welcome and provides her contact information in the event of problems or questions. It was a wonderful place to rest and relax after a long day at Rend Lake. Everything you need is provided; coffee, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. The beds and furnishings are comfortable, and the kids spent a lot of time in the wonderful game room. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys the "home away from home" atmosphere. We look forward to staying again in the future!

You can’t ask for a better host. Everytime I stay Rosene is extremely pleasant and friendly. There is always a sweet treat waiting that is absolutely delicious. It very quiet and tranquil. A great place to get away and clear your head. And it’s always spotless. Only place I’ll stay when visiting southern Illinois.

The Farmhouse was a nice, quiet getaway with beautiful surroundings, even during cold, dreary days. The inside of the house was warm, inviting, and had everything we needed, including special touches which made it a great place to get away after the holidays. Peter was a great host.

The cabin was exactly as described. We appreciated the personal touch, and Joanna gave us plenty of recommendations for hiking trails and great places to eat in the area.

This was our second stay at Suzzie’s place. The cabin is lovely, and very comfortable, the property is beautiful and peaceful. We fell in love with it on our first visit two years ago and were so happy to get to return. We love fishing on their wonderful lake. Our granddaughter caught her first fish here, so the competition was on during this visit. Can’t imagine a more relaxing environment. We will save up for another vacation here in the future!

I recently spent two nights at the Carlton Cabin and had an amazing experience! The cabin was spotlessly clean, cozy, and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. The Carltons were also incredibly kind and welcoming. The property itself was beautiful and peaceful, offering the perfect setting for relaxation. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway!

If cozy is what you're looking for...... a gente trip back in time..... grannies log kitchen.... WELCOME HOME. Real logs, real charm and real comfort... we loved this pleasant surprise in the middle of nowhere.... peaceful surroundings with beautiful lakr..ducks..... the stairs are steep to the upstairs bedrooms for the elderly but everything else.... perfect

The stay was amazing, very quiet and peaceful. My boyfriend found this for my birthday and we spent an amazing weekend here, even with all the rain it was still beautiful to sit out on the screened in porch and walk around the property. Will definitely recommend this place to family and friends and stay again when able.
