Beautifully decorated house and peaceful property out of the main town. Great communication, attention to detail and we really appreciated the little treats. We would definitely come to stay again - thanks!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Kuratau genossen. Die Lage der Unterkunft unmittelbar am Lake Taupo ist phantastisch. Wir konnten direkt vom Grundstück an das Seeufer und dort schwimmen. Das Hazs bietet alles, was man sich wünschen kann. Hervorzuheben ist ausserdem die unglaubliche Ruhe fern von technischen Geräuschen, nur Vögel, Wind und Wellen. Die Kommunikation mit Barb war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie war hilfsbereit und reagierte rasch auf unsere Anfragen. Schade, dass wir nach 6 Tagen abreisen mussten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

loved this whare, stunning views of the lake. opened up the conservatory windows, enjoyed the views and listening to the Tui with a cuppa each morning. Had everything that we needed a couple of minutes drive from the wedding we attended. Comfy beds lots of bathrooms. Would definately recommend as a great get away to R&R for the weekend

This was one of the nicest AirBnb’s we have ever stayed in. The hosts have thought of every detail, and the home is spacious, well laid out, and beautifully appointed. Everything is comfortable and pristinely clean. There’s a lot to do in the area otherwise we would have spent more time at the actual house itself enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the night sky on the deck with the fire pit. The hosts responded right away to all questions and just really seemed to love making this a great experience for their guests!

Magic spot! Loved being so close to the river and surrounded by greenery. Great place to get away and unwind.

This was a quirky fun stay. Felt like a little cabin in the woods. But opened up to beautiful vistas just up the drive. We enjoyed the cozy fire. Kitchen is good for light cooking and breakfast. Would be a little tight to make a big dinner feast. Would stay again.

Stayed with 2 grandchildren, aged 1 and 2. Kiddy plugs were on all electric plugs at their level, and the covers were down on the deck, preventing accidental fall, (although only a foot or so high). Super clean, lovely location, we have stayed before and we will stay again. This is THE BEST AirBnB out.

Windy flax is a beautiful hut with everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Located in enough private space to make you feel like you are all by yourself, in a location that is beautiful and remote but with plenty around to keep you occupied with adventure. Penny and Wayne were amazing hosts, the best I've ever had. So warm and welcoming, they were freindly, polite and easy to contsct which made organising booking a breeze. On top of that they even went above and beyond to get local help when we got our car stuck in a ditch. Thank you Wayne, thank you Penny for your kindess and generosity, I really can't express my appreciation enough. I will definitely be returning if I can and will for sure be recommending you to anyone I know heading out there.
