Shelley’s place was beautiful and welcoming. It was truly a home away from home. Shelley left some things to get us started (oj, eggs from her hen, a loaf of bread, jams, Nospresso coffee, teas and our preferred milk.) She even brought me her Bullet to make smoothies! The space includes a large comfy king size bed in one room, a sitting room/ kitchenette in the second and a bathroom off the kitchenette. There is a beautiful private garden for the guests in this room only. We loved her wandering hens as well. We would recommend this space to everyone going to visit Paihia!

Beautiful secluded air bnb in a prime spot. The house looked exactly like the pictures 😊 quick and responsive communication as well which helped a lot. Would highly recommend and will book again when I head back up. Thank you again x

Great accommodation, walking distance to everything including the docks and restaurants. Communication was great and checking in was really easy. The location was wonderful with view of the water from the lounge. Accommodation had everything we needed and importantly the bathroom was spotless.

Superb balcony views from an elevated position. The hot tub was an added bonus. Peter gave us a welcoming run down of how to operate things which was very useful. Really enjoyed our stay.

Sue and Chris's place was lovely!!! It is close to the centre but far enough to be very private. Everything was very clean and welcoming. The view was absolutely breathtaking!!!!

Brent and Leanne's place is prefect for a few days, with a separate living area and bedroom. No issue for me not having a kitchen, as I was dinning out, but you do have Fridge/Freezer, and a Microwave for re-heating. The bed was comfortable (for me). Only 3km to Kamo, and about 10 minutes to CBD (depending on time of day), which for me is nothing, as I live 12km to my nearest shop. So long as you have transport the location is great, out in the country side - nice and quiet. The location is handy to use as a base for day trips to the Bay of Islands, Matapouri/Whale Bay, and of course the local spots. I will be back in the future using it as a base for more trips.

We stayed in Russel for almost a week with our two children (4 and 5 years) and we had a great time. The apartment is very spacious and clean and has everything you need. The location is perfect in the middle of Russel, and with the wharf and beach right around the corner. We fell in love with Russel!! It’s a very lovely and beautiful place. The host was helpful in her communication and everything went smoothly. The only downside with the apartment is that the terrass sometimes smells quite a lot from the fish- and chips place below (because the chimney is placed right next to the terrass). However - overall we loved our stay here and would highly recommend!!

We had a fantastic stay at Pacific Rendezvous, there were lots of amenities on site and beautiful walks we could access straight from our accomodation. The staff were friendly and the apartment was comfortable and gad everything we needed. We would love to visit again!

Stunning location with a spectacular view. House was comfortable and coped very well with our group of 7, however the upstairs bedrooms need to be shared by a family as access to the bathroom was through the other bedroom. Road up to house very tricky and probably better attempted with a 4 wheel drive. We had a great week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

If you would like to have coffee in watching the sunrise or dinner watching the sunset, this place is perfect, the deck wraps completely around with 360° spectacular views. Loved our stay, thank you so much Peter!

The cottage is cosy and comfortable with full amenities for self-catering and ideally situated for trips to the cape and the sand dunes. The setting is pleasantly rural with Guinea fowl and chooks free ranging as well as friendly doggo Honey. We especially loved sitting out on the wraparound deck in the evening in the shade. Jenny is a lovely, warm, responsive, hospitable host who checks in with her guests to make sure everything is right for the stay and can offer lots of recommendations and local knowledge. If you have a 4-wheel drive there are also a number of beaches to explore on the gravel roads off the main highway.

What a fabulous house! Set in gorgeous gardens with lovely views from all windows the accommodation is spacious and very well designed. The colour scheme and carefully chosen artwork foster a sense of calm. Supremely comfortable beds and sofa. There is a generous deck and comfy outdoor furniture. The kitchen is very well equipped and the two bathrooms are modern with excellent showers. Toni is a great host who has thought of everything to make her guests feel at home, with an added touch of luxury.

We loved our stay at tonyas place. It’s in a very good location, It’s walking distance to town. It had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and tonya was a very responsive host. My kids loved eating fresh mint from the garden. Would definitely recommend staying at tonyas place. We hope to come come back again soon

We had a wonderful stay in this home. Everything was immaculate, modern and had everything we needed and more. The kids room had toys and story books which was appreciated as we had a 1.5 year old. There were plenty of games and puzzles which provided hours of fun for everyone. It’s close to Paihia and even closer to main supermarket which was convenient. The hosts were very helpful and polite. The home was very thoughtful and considerate to guests. We appreciated the stay :)

A fantastic location and a beautiful view! Ferry landing looks straight down over its namesake. Having grown up in a water short/rain collected area I understood and accepted the messaging through the house. The ferry means that this is THE location to stay if hoping to enjoy the Bay of Islands.

A lovely home with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Come for the home stay for the view! A spectacular vista, from the Whiria Pa, across the harbour to the golden sand dunes. Also, a great selection of books to while away the hours 🙂 We had the generous bonus of using the down stairs spa as there were no guests. perfect!

A beautiful apartment right in the Opua Marina. The view of the boats was peaceful. The apartment is very spacious, beautifully decorated, and super-clean. We had everything we needed for our six-night stay. It’s a short drive to Pahia, and the car ferry makes getting to Russell easy. The hiking track from Opua to Pahia is fantastic. The Marina has a great cafe (live music on Sunday night), a well-stocked general store with pizza and ice cream, and a great take-away spot with fish and chips, burgers, etc. If you’re looking for crazy night life, this isn’t for you. But if you looking for a lovely apartment in a peaceful setting with fantastic views, book it!

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

For a winter break it really was perfect. Best spot ever. The best part....The people! Friendly, helpful. Kind. Every eatery was great. Op shop for fishing clothes too! Had great fishing with " Buckos" Dont miss it! Will return. Thankyou. BnM
