My husband and I adored this place! It was in a beautiful location that was very peaceful, which was just what we were looking for. It was a nice escape from the city where we are from. It was a very friendly community and the lake was a walk away. We were fortunate enough to be during a snowstorm and it made everything mystical and cozy. We got to stay in, cook a nice meal, watch movies and see the snow fall! The place was absolutely beautiful and everything you could imagine/hope for as a cabin in the poconos. It had absolutely everything we needed and more! The pictures don’t even do the beauty and warmth of this home justice! Magda was very welcoming, attentive to our needs, and quick with her responses. We felt at home and would love to come back and enjoy another getaway in this dreamy woodsy wonder.

Our family has stayed at Arek's house three times before this trip. The location is great. The house is at the deeper end of the lake, so you can easily swim from the shore. There are three kayaks and a rowboat to use on the lake. The deck is a great place to drink coffee in the morning and eat dinner at night. For creature comforts the beds are super comfortable and the wifi is speedy fast. We will definitely stay there again.

Ann and Kevin were wonderful hosts. They were responsive from start to finish. The house was beautiful and spacious. There were plenty of things for the kids to do. We had 3 generations of my family staying there and the accommodations were perfect. We would stay there again for sure!

Danny is a great host. Very responsive and helpful, and he even offered to mail me something I forgot to take home. The chalet itself is a charm with all the amenities needed, 100% worth a stay. We will definitely be back when we get a chance!

We were in town for a birthday party and didn’t get to take full advantage of the space but it was perfect for what we needed. The view is beautiful and it was wonderfully quiet which we loved.

Kevin and his chalet were the most beautiful, wonderful, amazing place and person anyone could hope to deal with. We had my husband's 70th birthday, with family and everyone was in awe of everything. Thank you Kevin from the bottom of our hearts. They all wish to go to your place again in the future. Any state and property that is available with Kevin we all are interested. 5 stars 🌟

Awesome place! Very peaceful, secluded, and plenty of room for our group of 6. We enjoyed the front deck that offers a great spot to enjoy the fresh air and get some nice views of the surrounding area. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed and more. Not necessarily a complaint, but understand there is either a $500 refundable deposit or a $70 non-refundable charge for the booking. This is not common in my experience on AirBnb, but is required for the booking, so just wanted to put that out there. Overall, this is still 5 out of 5 stars for many reasons and I would highly recommend staying here.

Everything was great and clean, looks just like the listing. Host very attentive. Would stay again. Just be mindful you do have to drive the garbage to the gate at the end of your stay and it was a bit confusing to get there, so make sure you have space in your car or you have to make two trips.

To be totally transparent, the images for the space listed does it no justice. The house was so beautiful and accommodated my big family of 17. The teens loved that they had their own space and the adults loved that although we were all in the same house, we didn’t hear the teens or barely saw them. That’s how big the house is! You’re surrounded by a beautiful scenery and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll spot a few deers walking around. I can only imagine how beautiful this place is in the summer. We are already discussing coming back for the summer. Thank you so much for everything George and Sarah!

The home was gorgeous and large enough for our big group to feel comfortable throughout our stay. Would absolutely recommend! The sauna and hot tub were the cherry on top.

Great host and overall great place. If you are a light sleeper, you should consider something besides the 1st floor main bedroom as the bed creaks significantly just from normal turning. Be sure to realize you need to bring your own linens or rent them (this was a bit surprising and disappointing). But Ricky did have a discount code for the rental place. Ricky was proactive, guided us well and was very accommodating. The hot tub was a great addition and kids loved it. The spacious kitchen with the outside deck and bbq was perfect for a relaxing afternoon.

The surrounding nature was beautiful and peaceful, providing a truly tranquil escape. The house was perfect! Cute and cozy. Very clean. It was decorated nicely. The fire pit was so nice and relaxing and the best part is all the deer that came to hang out with us while we sat around it. The house was just a short drive to the mountain where there was skiing snow tubing and snowboarding. My kids deff enjoyed the mountain and tubing. Would love to come back and have another stay in the summer to see the lake and enjoy the pool and all the summer activities. Would deff recommend staying in this cute and cozy home and we will be back in the near future !

This was our second stay at The Golden Owl and it has become our favorite spot in the Poconos. Great location for winter and summer holidays, super cozy and clean home, and plenty of space for the kids and adults to hang comfortably. Highly recommend.

Great and beautiful home. All the amenities we needed and more. Community took care of the roads so it was easy to get around even during the winter weather. Easy access to shops and food in the nearby area.

We had a wonderful time at Michelle and Sean's lake house! For this trip to the Poconos, I wanted to get away but still feel “at home”—and that’s exactly how we felt. We usually stay at resorts, but this time we chose peace and quiet. We’ve stayed in other Airbnbs that were great, but felt like nicer hotels. This truly felt like borrowing a friend’s lake house. It’s clear Michelle and Sean use this home to unwind and are generously sharing that comfort. My husband and I stayed with our three kids (14, 12, and 10), and we had everything we needed—and more! We never once heard “I’m bored.” Aside from a nearby horseback ride, we stayed at the house all weekend—grilling, relaxing by the lake, hanging on the deck, playing yard games, reading in the hammock, and soaking in the hot tub. I wanted a peaceful getaway for my 40th birthday, and the hosts left a balloon, flowers, and a gift—so sweet! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

We had the best vacation in a very long time! Catherine’s home was just as described. It was peaceful and there was plenty to do! The amenities were plentiful! Catherine answered any questions I had in a prompt and friendly manner. We would definitely like to come back!
