One of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at. Beautiful property on the water with an outstanding spacious clean house. The back yard is fully fenced for your pups a major plus (fenced yards are hard to find on Airbnb). The property is very well kept and there are no briars in the grass. The fire pit is conveniently positioned off the enclosed back yard, near the lake. Bring fire pit tools: long poker, long log grabber, and a shovel. Fishing is exciting, there are so many fish to catch. We were merely fishing for fun, catch-and-release, so we only caught small catfish and bass. There are lights near the doc/firepit area, but we could not figure out how to turn them on, so we purchased battery powered lanterns. The house is beautiful with plenty of room. The kitchen is fully equipped. Wifi works great and there are 3 big screen TV’s downstairs. The bedrooms all have extra pillows and blankets (major plus). The owner is great and responsive.

I've stayed with Janet before and will definitely be back again. The house is comfortable, clean and has everything you need. I love this place!

This is our second time staying at the house and it was just as amazing at two years ago. I loved watching the sunrise on the front deck with coffee (they have normal coffee pot and Kurig). The beds were comfortable. The house was very clean. Carla was helpful and responsive with questions. We also loved the sunsets from the back deck. There were tons of mosquitos, so be prepared with OFF!!

Great stay! Very clean and quiet! The fishing dock is a great amenity and was lots of fun.

A sweet little bungalow perfect for a couple’s stay. Be aware that the bed and pillows are on the firm side. The house is well-supplied, especially the kitchen. No satellite/cable tv, but the Internet works great for streaming from a Roku. We loved the on/demand hot water! The neighborhood is quaint and an easy walk to the pavilion and piers and Mike’s Coffee Shop! Dale is very responsive and helpful. My dogs enjoyed the big fenced yard, too!

Wonderful and peaceful! I love the deck and the night sky was beautiful. We tried fishing but were not lucky, however, we did see dolphins! That was great. Easy to park close to the beach, just 1/2 mile away. Bed was comfortable and the window unit kept us cool at night. We would stay again!

Second Summer to stay at Wave on Wave! The pool and fishing dock are just what we are always excited about! Fishing was exceptionally well this year. Fast and friendly communication was given when needed. We cannot wait to return!

Salty Dog was responsive to any and all questions and concerns that we had even before our arrival. Place was neat and clean, and we had a great time as a family by the pool making memories. There are lots of pool toys in the garage to choose from. Highly recommended, great location, and we will be back again.

We had to leave the unit due to damage from the hurricane that the owner was not aware of. Owner was very responsive & immediately processed a full refund. His quick considerate response was much appreciated

Exactly as described, peaceful surroundings, everything we were looking for. Perfect location for unplugging from daily life, and enjoying time with family. Pictures did not do it justice. Definitely recommend to anyone looking or some family time in a peaceful private environment.

This place was absolutely REMARKABLE! The family and I as well as our fur babies had the most spectacular time; of course with the help of Ms. Kim! Ms. Kim answered all of my questions, VERY friendly, and just all around a great person. Cannot wait to visit again! 10/10!!

This was the perfect spot for our four-family getaway! Lots of room for people to crash. The place wasn’t super fancy or pristine, but it was clean and we have to remember. We’re at the beach, so it was perfect. The washing machine was out on one side, but we were able to use it on the other side. The biggest bummer was that on the first day we were crossing over the dunes to the beach, the kids came upon a rattlesnake so from then on, we had to drive around. So note to self, just be aware! Overall, we had a great time! Patricia is a great host!!

Everything was as described and as expected. Communicating with John was very easy and he was helpful. The location is convenient for both the pool and the beach.

This was the perfect get-a-way home for our family. Palm Haven was clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of games available for the kids. We mostly enjoyed fishing, crabbing and time at the beach. We all were able to get into the kitchen and help with the cooking. We enjoyed card games in the evenings and even watched a little television. Our hosts lived next door and were very friendly. They were quick to answer any questions and provide anything we needed. We all felt right at home and would definitely stay again. A special thanks to Debbie and Andrew our Airbnb hosts!

Absolutely beautiful!! My family of 5 enjoyed our stay!! The home was just as described, very clean and comfortable. The weather was just perfect!! We did need mosquito spray, but walked down to the beach easily. Our favorite space was the front deck. We sat there for hours. We saw a buck in the back yard and many birds. The sound of the ocean was peaceful. The place had everything we needed. Matagorda is tiny and lovely and Bay City is close for groceries. All in all so thankful for our time to recharge our batteries in the sun and sand!!

The stay was great and my dogs thoroughly enjoyed running on the property. For a weekend in the country, this is a good place to call home base!

This RV site was absolutely fantastic! Having full hookups made everything so convenient, and the added bonus of the cozy cabin with a bunk bed brought even more comfort and flexibility to our stay. The location was perfect—peaceful and relaxing, yet just a short drive to the beach, which made it an ideal getaway. Mohsen, the host, was amazing—very responsive, accommodating, and genuinely thoughtful. Highly recommend, and I can’t wait to return!

Our stay was great! The house was well stocked and we had no issues. The house was roomy with plenty of space for a large family. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. We love the area and the fishing.

Our stay was great! The cabin is very cozy and tiny but as expected and looks exactly like the pictures. It was very clean and it had everything we needed, just make sure and bring some of your own kitchen utensils if you plan to be cooking often. Karim was a great host and was very responsive and flexible to us when we asked for early check-in which was much appreciated. The facilities are very peaceful and well maintained! We enjoyed everything there was to offer!

I had a wonderful stay at this location. It's situated in a beautiful area. Martin is an excellent host who makes you feel right at home and is quick to respond.

Mitch’s place is thoroughly enjoyable and spacious with comfortable room for 4-5 guys there to do contact work. Mitch is super friendly and accommodating and happy to provide his knowledge of the area.
