Really cool place to stay. The view from the room is incredibely beautiful! It is little bit far from beach, but not so bad. The breakfast was really delicious and for a reasonoble price - not included. I really recommend to stay here, because the place and the room is so cool.

I wish I could give this place 10,000 stars! We celebrated my husband's 30th birthday here, and it exceeded all expectations. The hosts went above and beyond, sourcing a special desert - blueberry cheesecake - because it's his favorite. They also helped with party supplies, making us feel like family. The staff is warm and attentive while providing perfect privacy. The location is ideal— on a quiet beach, close to great restaurants, a popular Saturday-night dance spot, grocery store, and ATM. The team arranged tuktuks to Mirissa for whale watching and always helped with last-minute requests. The chef is outstanding—best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The design of the property is impeccable—natural lighting, high-end finishes, and a relaxing atmosphere. I can't recommend this place enough. It’s a rare gem, and I’d return in a heartbeat! Great place. Right on the beach with a gate that provides complete privacy. Even with the direct proximity to the beach you feel safe and the entire resort has a great chill vibe about it. The waves are great for fun, body and surf boarding and as our close friends said “they just keep coming, it’s relentless fun” and the cool pool has a perfect temperature to plunge into after the sea. Lots of little cafes, bars, restaurants, surf schools and shops all outside the front door. The supermarket is a 10-15 minute walk or a short tuk tuk ride, selection isn’t that good and was about the only negative side of what was a very successful and relaxing week for Mums and Dads, whilst the teenagers were kept happy with the sea, pool and of course, a bit of internet time!! Lastly, the house team were always helpful and obliging to assist and guide. Thank you to them and the evening guard who keeps you safe after a hard day in the sun. We will be back…..

Très sécurisé et de confiance. Toujours de bons conseils et d’une très grande serviabilité. Accède à toutes les demandes et de bons conseils. Très bon rapport qualité prix pour le lieu et la période. Merci à tout le staff sur place pour la réussite des vacances.

Value for money, great times, good local knowledge, and fun times. We had a blast here. Yes there is still some work that needs to be done, but the hosts made us feel like family, and treated us so well. The food was amazing, and the welcome we felt was indicative of all we came to expect from Sri Lanka. The beach is amazing and the local people took us to their hearts. Please, please give this host your attention, and share the love we felt. Well worth the trip!

Despite an address issue due to Google map, we really enjoyed our stay. we though we would be inland at the back of Hiriketiya beach. we were instead nicely secluded by a rocky little cove, no tourists except for us... Ranjith was very helpful in getting to us by scooter and paying for a tuk-tuk to repatriate us to his property. we were welcomed with a breath taking view and drinks... the room, if small is comfortable and clean. Its size is well compensated by a outside shaded area were you can enjoy peace and relaxation. breakfast was one of the best we had with airbnb host. highly recommended for nature lovers who want to stand out out of the way of mass tourism.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Rise. Das Zimmer ist geräumig und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Straße ist etwas laut, aber mit der Klimaanlage war das für uns kein Problem. Alle sind unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben uns sowohl einen Flughafentransfer, als auch ein Tuktuk für die Weiterfahrt organisiert. Das Frühstück ist super lecker und man sollte unbedingt die Pizza unten im Restaurant probieren. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!

We hebben een fijne tijd gehad bij Sandaru. Midden in het regenwoud omgeven door de geluiden uit de natuur. Sandaru en alle medewerkers zijn ontzettend vriendelijk, behulpzaam en respectvol. We voelde ons erg welkom. Het zwembad zorgt voor een heerlijke verkoeling na een wandeltocht door het regenwoud. Verwacht geen luxe in het regenwoud. Het is een pure beleving met alle basis behoeften. Er is een bed met klamboe, douche (lauw water), toilet, kastje en een stopcontact. In de avond zit je gezellig in het restaurant gedeelte. Vanuit hier spot je apen, grote eekhoorns en verschillende prachtige vogels. Het eten is het beste wat we tot nu toe hebben gehad in Sri Lanka, hele grote porties en ontzettend betaalbaar. Houdt er rekening mee dat er bloedzuigers, spinnen en kakkerlakken aanwezig kunnen zijn in/rondom het huisje.

Amazing stay with the most wonderful staff. Thank you so much to Indi, Kelum and Anil for taking such good care of us. We stayed for over a month and we were made to feel at home for the whole stay. The garden and pool area is so relaxing, the view from the kitchen and dining area is lovely and the location is ideal. Could not recommend Ebb and Flow enough. Thank you again to all of the team! x

had an amazing experience staying at Bathiya's place! From the moment I arrived, He made me feel incredibly welcome. The space was just as described—clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of my trip was definitely the food! The dumplings and pancakes served at the property were absolutely delicious—highly recommend trying them. The flavors were incredible, and you can tell they were made with a lot of care. It was such a nice bonus to enjoy home-cooked meals during my stay. Bathiya went above and beyond to ensure I had a great time, offering local tips and being responsive to any questions I had. The location was perfect, with easy access to Beach and restaurants around making it the ideal spot for exploring the area. I truly appreciated Bathiya's hospitality and attention to detail. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area..
