The view! This aspect of our stay made it absolutely worthwhile. We appreciated that the back patio featuring the view was very private, the apartment was walkable to everything, and the price was fair. We required heat for chilly evenings, and the thermostat worked very efficiently to warm the place. A few small notes – the apartment does have two full bathrooms, but the upstairs shower was rather impractical to use, because there was no curtain or glass to contain the water from the shower nozzle. The bathroom tiles were quite stained with several missing. The glassware and extra blankets were of questionable cleanliness, but the bedsheets and everything else appeared to be washed just ahead of our stay. An overall lovely stay!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour chez Dimora della cività. Le logement correspondait exactement à la description et aux photos, et il est stratégiquement placé pour découvrir Matera. La maison est très bien équipée, en plus chaque chambre dispose de sa salle de bain privative ce qui permet d'avoir de l'intimité. La maison est très bien chauffée (hiver) et la literie est propre et confortable. Elle dispose également d'une terrasse avec une de plus belle vue panoramique des Sassi, vraiment à couper le souffle. L'hôte, Franco, a été extrêmement gentil, serviable et flexible. Nous la recommandons sans hésitation. Grazie per tutto! 🙏🏻

L’appartamento è semplicemente splendido: restaurato con grande cura, attenzione ai dettagli e rispetto per la tradizione locale, accogliente e perfettamente arredato. La vista è mozzafiato, sembra davvero una cartolina! La posizione è comoda per visitare i Sassi e il resto della città. L’host è stato disponibile e gentile. Ci siamo sentiti a casa fin da subito. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca un posto speciale dove soggiornare!

Stefania’s apartment was a great place to stay in Matera. It was well located with easy access to both Sassi, the large public spaces, shopping and restaurants. Besides the excellent location, the apartment itself was wonderful. The bedroom was spacious and had an ensuite bathroom, tons of storage space and extra blankets. The large living room had a futon for extra sleeping space. The kitchen was very well equipped and maybe the only Airbnb I’ve stayed in with good, sharp knives! The downstairs bathroom is the larger, with a nice-sized shower. In addition, there are two outside spaces with small seating areas, one on the roof giving a great view down the hill and one outside the front door. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay.

Bellissimo appartamento caratteristico. Stanze grandi e due bagni perfetti. Un po' freddo e umido nonostante il riscaldamento, ma i sassi di Matera sono così. La cucina un po' piccola e poco attrezzata. Ottima esperienza.

Antonella’s place was amazing - beautiful surrounding in Sassi. We love the terrace and her place is well situated for the sunrise. It was extremely quiet and anyone could have a great sleep after a long day visiting historical places around Matera. We will surely come back, thank you for having us.

Eine faszinierende und wunderschöne Erfahrung, das Schlafen in Patrizias Sassi…die Unterkunft ist sehr liebevoll im Detail gestaltet und ausgestattet, das Bett super und selbst der Kühlschrank war mit Jogurt und Milch ausgestattet 👌vielen lieben Dank nochmals! Das Sitzen auf den Stufen vorm Hausin der Abendsonne mit Blick auf die Sassi war ein großer Genuss. Und: wir haben sehr gut geschlafen, besser als ich mir das überhaupt hatte vorstellen können…

a magnificent historic property fully modernized. immediate parking. perfectly centered and walkable everywhere, pharmacy, dentist, city hall and of course the Patisseries and fabulous restaurants. Fabi is a gracious and responsive host. I'll be back for certain.

Proprietario gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Appartamento spazioso, ben attrezzato, vicinissimo al centro storico. Pulizia impeccabile. Siamo stati benissimo, quasi meglio di a casa nostra!! Con anche un bel getto caldo nella doccia che da vera soddisfazione :)

We were two couples and we very much enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is in the modern part of Matera but only a very short walk to elegant shops and restaurants, and to the amazing historical center you'll be exploring. The apartment is modern, spacious, nicely furnished, with a very nicely stocked kitchen. The patio is very large, secluded, and comfortable. We loved everything about the place and would definitely stay here again. I'd note that there is one bathroom adjacent to both bedrooms, but the second bathroom is at the other end of the apartment. The host offers secure garage parking for a modest fee. I recommend you take advantage of this but be sure to drop your bags off at the apartment before you park your car.

Appartement très bien situé a proximité du centre ville sans être dans le centre touristique. nous avons pu nous garer sans problème dans la rue. on était comme a la maison..avec deux salles de bain, le luxe!

Appartamento estremamente curato nei dettagli e molto ben arredato. Peccato per la zona in cui si trova che non è delle migliori visto che è vicino al passaggio del treno però è a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro e dai sassi ed quindi comunque è raccomandabile come base per visitare Matera.

We loved our stay at this apartment. It was spotless and Domenico met us on arrival, showed us the apartment and gave us lots of ideas about what to see and do. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Sassi and most restaurants. We had beautiful weather and can highly recommend using this apartment as a good location to discover Matera and its surrounds. Parking was easy and free close to the building.

All was perfect! Nicola waitet for us and helped with parking. The apartment was very very nice, with a very good bed. Good equipped kitchen and bathroom. 2 minutes to the center and absolutly quiet. We sleeped wonderful and had a very good time in Matera.

Dodatkowo miejsce parkingowe na miejscu to duże ułatwienie, co w tym mieście nie zawsze jest standardem. 🚗 Nino to gospodarz na medal! 🏆 Niezwykle uprzejmy, pomocny i zawsze gotowy doradzić w każdej sytuacji. Jego gościnność i troska sprawiły, że nasz pobyt był jeszcze bardziej wyjątkowy. Pyszna niespodzianka w lodówce. Cudowny gest, który sprawił nam ogromną radość! Es war sehr schön und gemütlich ☺️ tolle Wohnung, tolle Umgebung, super Pizzeria direkt zwei Häuser weiter, super Bäcker die Straße runter und ein tolles Kaffe um die Ecke.

Great place to stay for a day trip to Matera. Just a short walk from great restaurants, shopping and the Sassi. Was perfect for us!

The 1er Grand Cru of airbnb. In Te Reo Maori has a word to describe care and hospitality, being manaakitanga. Pasquale has this with a strong commitment to his craft of hosting. He spent time orienting us with the area and provided a generous selection of local delicacies. An unobtrusive host with a meticulously appointed property. Ci siamo fermati solo per una notte di passaggio. Appartamento di un’artista sicuramente, molto particolare e piacevole ci è piaciuto tantissimo. Se dovessi ritornare in zona ci ritornerei volentieri.

L’appartamento è pulitissimo ,a 15 minuti dal centro a piedi ,un caratteristico mercato della frutta nella piazzetta, Caterina è molto sollecita nelle risposte , buoni i materassi e cuscini . Lo consiglio sicuramente .
