Great place to operate out of for a fishing weekend.

This was our third stay at Clifton, so we and our 2 dogs obviously like staying there. The location is perfect for getting around Matthews as we continue to explore that part of the region. Very nice stay and we look forward to coming back. Bart and Sharon Cameron November 2024

My sister and I had a very restful time here. The place was spacious, with beautiful outdoor views. We were provided with everything we might need and more. I wish we had had more people with us to enjoy the many options available here for relaxing; sitting outside, watching movies, and enjoying evenings by the fireplace. Anne was very gracious and informative. We certainly felt right at home. I would recommend this to anyone who was visiting the area and wanted a secluded and beautiful space to share.

The area was gorgeous with alot of wildlife - we saw an Eagle, Blue Heron, sting ray, blue crabs, fish, fiddler crabs, tons of birds and even a Hummingbird. Loved having a beachy area so close. I do wish there was a swimming area on the large bay side or a way to get in the water and get out. Granite you can just jump from the dock i suppose but I wasn’t sure how would get out without a ladder. A ladder on the dock or a small bridge over the rock bank would be lovely. The cove side had somewhat mucky bottom further you went and am not a fan of that on my feet. But again loved all the scenery, sounds and wildlife.

Erin has been the BEST host I’ve came across on this app! she was so quick to respond and extremely helpful when it came to any questions I had. Definitely will be back again! Beautiful home, very spacious, and amazing views!

Charming Cape Charles getaway! I was so happy to find this gem and even more thrilled when I arrived. From the beautiful landscape of the gated community, to the southern charm of this glorious suite…I wanted for nothing. This enormous suite has all the comforts of home and the location was spectacular. The property offered not only a private beach on the bay , a community pool, a beautiful well maintained golf course, it was also a short drive to the charming town of Cape Charles. Dawn offered endless advice to her favorite restaurants, activities to do and places to see while we visited. She was just a text or call away if I needed anything. Her hospitality was beyond measure. I look forward to coming back.

We stopped here to break up a very long drive so we only stayed one night but Jacqueline was very friendly and accommodating. We were pretty delayed on our drive but she made sure we got into our room ok and introduced us to her dogs. We didn’t get a chance to explore but the property looked beautiful and peaceful. Definitely a great place if you love dogs. Our little daughter LOVED them, but my wife tends to be a bit more apprehensive. Overall, very nice rooms and quite spacious. A good place for a longer stay.

Salty Sisters is a wonderful place to stay! The views are lovely and the skylight in the kitchen is awesome giving lots of natural light in the space. I worked here for 2 days during a snow storm and all was quiet and beautiful. The studio is large and has everything you need for you and your fury friends, including a private fenced backyard. Rebecca was proactive and responsive and allowed me to check in early due to the arriving storm system. I loved being here in the snow and overlooking the snowy bay. Also, the studio has gone through a bit of a renovation since the photos were taken and looks even better. This is a great place and I will definitely return and recommend.

This was our second stay and it was perfect. The house is beautifully decorated. The beds were the best part and so comfortable. A beautiful view and private beach area. And Ashley is a very responsive and helpful host. We will definitely consider staying here again.

This home is absolutely beautiful. I loved being able to wake up early and watch the sun rise over the Chesapeake bay. Even though it was cold the kids enjoyed splashing in the water with their rain boots. We spent the Wednesday before Thanksgiving at colonial Williamsburg. Afterwards we ate at Captain George’s, a place Tas recommended. It was absolutely worth it. I was also pleased with being able to make a good Thanksgiving meal. The stay was relaxing and peaceful. We would love to come back in the near future.

Charles place is beautiful and the river view is amazing. Charles was very kind and very responsive. Beds were comfy and kitchen stocked. Plenty of room to be fellowship and have privacy when needed. Decor is nice and makes you feel welcomed & right at home. Charles place is great for a relaxing waterfront stay in VA, can’t wait to return for our next river stay.

Our family Thanksgiving was great! What a beautiful home with a breathtaking view of the water!! Just waking up each day with that beautiful sunrise over the water was wonderful to see. What a hidden gem! Everything you possibly have needed was provided in the home. The fireplace was very nice especially on those cold evenings! We can't wait to return! Stayed here for a weekend fishing trip. Everything was great! Very serene and beautiful surroundings, the house fully equipped with everything you need to go fishing. We even went out of our comfort zone and tried out the canoes. It was an all-around good experience. The location is not too far from beaches great restaurants, and also a casino. For a small intimate family gathering. The Host sent an extensive and well thought out list of everything you can think of, from to how to get there & what to do when you’re there also he was very responsive.

What a fantastic place! I came from Pennsylvania to visit with family. Katie’s place was a great spot for them to come visit. We cooked out on the grill and the kids played in the water and on the beach. The house is absolutely gorgeous and is fully stocked with everything you could think of and labeled! The best part was watching the sunrise while sipping a cup of coffee on the covered porch. It was so peaceful. Oh! And of course watching the dolphins play! I really hope we can come back again in the future, we had the absolute best time! Thank-you Katie and Tim for everything!

This place felt right at home, it felt so peaceful here. The views from the wrap around porch are amazing so glad we booked this place, can’t wait to come back in the summer to really enjoy it!

We very much enjoyed our first stay in Williamsburg at this location! It was great to have a local coffeeshop within walking distance. Views of the pond were wonderful, and we even saw an eagle from our balcony. The James River is a short walk away and was lovely also. Would recommend!

Stayed for an impromptu visit to the in-laws over Christmas. Booked it on the 24th for check-in on the 25th-27th. The stay was great, went off without a hitch. good communication, seamless check-in and very clean space. 10/10 would stay again.

Dave’s place was spotless, spacious and comfortable, with great views of the river to boot! Highly recommend.

Our visit was complete because we had an awesome and responsive host, Lynn. The airbnb was perfect and close to all our planned events. We were also able to get recommendations to restaurants and spas near by from host prior to our stay. Highly recommend and will be looking to rent stays here in the future.

We have a great stay, it was super close to Bush Gardens making it easy to come back in the middle of the day to relax and take the dogs out. It is on the upper floor but the stairs are not difficult at all. It was a very pet friendly neighborhood.

Great location -- Really easy drive to Colonial Williamsburg and literally at the entrance to Busch Gardens. Great space for a family of 4 but easily could have accommodate a couple more. Jared was proactive with his communication and we had no trouble checking in, even arriving late at night. Would stay here again.

I have stayed with this host several times, she is always so kind and accommodating! The condo was beautiful and perfect for our short trip to participate in a local running event in Colonial Williamsburg. The condo was spotless and had plenty of amenities! Our host was flexible with our check in and out to accommodate our race plans!

This was our 3 rd time at one of Gayle's places in Kingsmill Great location!
