As beautiful and peaceful as we were hoping! Such a great setting, very easy to find and super central to both Maya Beach and just a 20-min drive to Placencia. Publics grocery is 8-min drive south, and loads of close restaurants. We used the kayaks and even fished in them across the lagoon. Star gazed at night from the dock, and cooked in the fully equipped and stocked kitchen. Herbert provided absolutely anything you could ever need and then some. Seriously, not just sun block and bug spray, but like 3 kinds. Numerous different towels and beach towels, umbrellas, spices and oils/marinades in the kitchen, not only kayaks and bikes, but a fishing pole and net, multiple sizes life jacket, super strong WiFi, you name it. Great bathroom with big tub and strong water pressure. Sitting on the deck listening to the lagoon was mesmerizing. Obviously a lot of planning went into the thoughtful details and we absolutely loved our stay. Thank you Herbert!

Rum Point was incredible! Martin and Bones made us feel so welcomed from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Having access to all the amenities at Turtle Inn was amazing and allowed us to enjoy the activities, restaurants and beach bar for quick visits then retreat back to Martin’s private paradise. One of the few Airbnb’s we also immediately said the pictures do not come close to doing it justice. Everything was spectacular from the house decorations, to the gardens, to the pool and the best sunrises. To top it off we all loved having the Rum Point Pack visit especially Princess and Moira! An experience like we’ve never had and can’t wait to return!

Absolutely stunning home with a serene location! The home was spotless and better than pictured with beautiful views of the beach and ocean from every room. Albert and Francee were so kind and helpful they made us feel like we were in our own private resort. The owner provided great details and suggestions in advance of us arriving and Albert made sure to check in regularly during the week and give us lots of recommendations to ensure we made the most of our vacation while also making sure it felt like home; so much so that we were sad to leave. We’d recommend this location to everyone and can’t wait to return again in the future.

We are a family of 5 and recently stayed at La Vida Belize. The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. The plunge pool, beach and dock were the perfect place to relax after a day of adventure. We enjoyed being in a quieter area and didn’t mind the distance from the main area of Placencia. We rented a car and explored several areas in Belize during our stay. We used the guestbook for tips about the area and places to eat near Maya Beach. The grounds keepers were friendly and kept everything nice for us during our stay. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. During our week stay, some of the activities we were able to do included: snorkling with Captain Jak’s, visit the Bocawina Nation Park & Zip-line Adventure, fishing, a Monkey River tour and visit some Mayan Ruins. We also spent a good amount of time relaxing and reading on the beach or by the pool. We recommend staying here.

We absolutely loved our stay here! It is even better than the photos. So private and spotlessly clean. The beach club and start of the Placencia boardwalk is about 0.4 miles walk across a not busy road and after having that separation, I wouldn’t want to be closer to it. We absolutely loved our pool and our snorkel tour guide was able to pick us up right outside our door in his boat! We had everything we needed, even the water is filtered and you can drink it right out of the tap. I would love to stay here again and Bonnie is an amazing host with lots of great recommendations and so easy to get ahold of for any questions. Thanks so much for sharing your space! I hope we can return again soon!

This was the best place I’ve ever stayed at - from offering home cooked meals and helped with telling me where the pharmacy was. Just wonderful people!

Magical setting! The veranda is wonderful for watching the sunrise & lying in the hammock listening to the lapping of the waves & watching the antics of the pelicans. Andrea is a very interesting woman, who is working hard to address the many challenges of owning an oceanfront property sandwiched between manicured resorts. The beach house is charming with a great bathroom & shower & a functional kitchen. The caretakers were friendly & helpful & it was delightful to watch their two little girls playing & laughing in the ocean. We’ve been visiting Placencia yearly for over a decade & it is reassuring that there are still places like Andrea’s to stay.

The villa was just what my family needed. It was out of the tourist area and relaxing. The house is equipped with most everything we needed. The place was just as advertised. Great time and a bottom floor bedroom for privacy for my dad. Kitchen is remarkable and beautiful!!

Therese is an excellent host and quickly responds to texts. I got to know her a little and meet some of her friends. The apartment was within walking distance to everything so I never rented a golf cart. Next time though I will to check out Maya Beach area!!

Kimberley has gone above and beyond to make this place feel like home, it’s spotless, feels very private and cozy. This airbnb definitely oustanded my expectations. The shower was heavenly. The host gave us a lot of useful information and helped us out all through our stay whenever we needed. We will hold so good memories of our evenings watching the sea from our patio. The place was very calming. We recommend this to anyone who is looking for a peaceful time. A few restaurants are available at walking distance and a small grocery market as well. We recommend to rent a golf cart ahead of time for this area, it will allow you the freedom to expand your options to eat out and explore a bit of Placencia as well. But after exploring the city center, we were glad to come back to our quiet ocean front cabana. Kayaks are available for the guests, we didn’t get to use them but they are definitely a great addition to the place. The hosts were amazing and so kind! Our dearest memories of Belize!

This place was perfect for our week in Placencia. it is conveniently located just off "the Sidewalk" (which is at the heart of Placencia) but was quiet and relaxing. The views from the front porch were fabulous. We had direct access to the beach and enjoyed the hammock and swing. The kitchen is adequate and more than adequate for what we needed (lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance). The washer and dryer were a huge bonus!

It’s a very comfortable little place to stay. Close to everything but far enough away from the centre of town that it is still quiet at night.

We had an incredible stay thanks to Candace, our amazing hostess! She’s full of energy, super helpful, and made us feel right at home. Candace knows the local scene inside out—she set me up with a fantastic fly fishing trip and arranged a snorkeling day at a private island for us. Her dinner recommendations were spot on too. Living just a couple houses away, she was always available and quick to respond, which we really appreciated. The place itself was large, spacious, and just 100m from the water. The beach was uncrowded and perfect for peaceful morning swims. Being centrally located off the pedestrian walk in downtown Placencia was a bonus—everything was so accessible. Candace truly took great care of us, and we’d love to come back!

We had an amazing time in Placencia at The White Turtle! The location is absolutely perfect! The caretakers Reuben, Rufina and their son Gilbert made our trip so special! Rufina kept the house absolutely spotless and checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. Reuben set up our tours and we had the most amazing time snorkeling, fishing and visiting waterfalls. Reuben knows his stuff! I highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed.

As a super host myself of 3 properties I can assure you this place is WONDERFUL! The location is absolutely perfect. You can step into the water right from your property. The porch was ideal as was the laid back tiki bar next door for a fun beverage while lounging. The AC’s in each bedroom were a great addition. We were a family of 5 with plenty of space. The property manager, Karissa is on site and was ready to serve with all our needs. To say she went above and beyond is an understatement. The grounds keeper AJ was so kind and helpful too. We honestly lacked for nothing. Some places we loved and recommend: Tate of Belize Garifuna cooking class Mammalicious is a couple minutes away and has fantastic and inexpensive food. More upscale was Dawns Galley - the shrimp curry was incredible! We loved walking to the pier at sunset De”tach has great breakfast We loved visiting the zoo on the way there and leaving we went to our next destination via Hummingbird Highway.

We booked through Airbnb 3 months in advance. I read all the reviews and one review mentioned that when they got there, they didn't have a reservation. So a few days before I called to make sure I had a reservation. Initially, on the first call he didn't see the reservation on his end. He called back a couple minutes later and said we were all set. Check in was extremely easy and they even provided complimentary beach towels that we were able to take off the property but they informed us if we lost them, there would be a fee. It wasnt the room we booked, but an upgrade. I'm sure there was a reason for it but it didnt bother us to ask. The place was quiet, beds were comfortable, AC ice cold and it was at such a great spot where we could walk around to different restaurants off the Placencia sidewalk. We had a fridge so we were able to keep left overs and warm it up with the microwave. Some towels had some tiny stains but normal wear and tear. Would stay again when I'm in the area.

We were two couples who stayed in Michelle’s condo fairly last minute when our accommodations were cancelled. Check in was smooth with Jack”s assistance and condo was great. Perfect space for the 4 of us . Edwin and his family were lovely and always ready to take us on the boat ride across the canal for the short walk/bike ride to town. Edwin and Jack were both very responsive and always willing to help arrange cabs/excursions. Would definitely stay again.

We spent 13 days at the villas at Cocoplum. We loved the location being in the middle of the peninsula. Having a golf cart gave us all the freedom we needed to do all we wanted. The pool and private dock were a huge plus. The staff at Cocoplum were very friendly and very helpful. Very easy location to experience the many excursions Belize has to offer. The villa has everything you need. We would highly recommend staying at Cocoplum villas.

We visited Placencia during Tropical Storm Sara (Nov 2024). As we have never been in a tropical storm (snow blizzards are what we are used to), it was a panic when traveling into one with our 2 children. All we ever want is for them to be safe. Tracy was kind to let us check in a couple hours earlier for peace of mind. Thankfully - the storm hit north of us and the weather improved through out our stay. We love the location - watching and listening to the waves facing the Caribbean, and then having the lagoon on the other side. My kids swam every day in the pool, even when it was pouring rain. Rosa, the caretaker, was extremely friendly and helpful. We would 100% stay here again next time we visit. The use of the kayaks was a great perk. We didn’t use the bikes.

couldn't not recommend this location, condo and it's staff more. they are very hard working and very responsive. The family that take care of the location is amazing and some of the most wonderful and kind people. Would recommend to anyone and will be back to see Placencia again. 5 Stars

Cocoplum Condos are great. We have stayed at over 20 condos in the past few years. The pool area is our all time favorite. It has beautiful trees for partial shade and is next to a lovely sand beach. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We had a car rental and Herbert sent directions to the condo and was waiting for us when we arrived. We spent lots of time on the deck enjoying the peaceful surroundings when we weren't in the pool or hot tub! This is a perfect condo for two couples or a family with children.

This condo was great! Management was very helpful with assisting us with planning activities and meals. Be aware that the location is a bit away from Placencia village and will require a golf cart or car. We were a bit nervous driving the golf cart after dark, so used a taxi service for dinners. Taxis are a bit expensive. Be aware that there are sandflies on the beach, particularly around sunset, they were a minor annoyance, but be sure to have bug repellant on, when walking the beach, this is an issue all across Belize. This was our homebase for activities in the area, which included a visit to Cockscomb, Ranguana Caye and fishing. (They picked us up and delivered us with a pile of fish at the Cocoplum dock). We enjoyed meals, lounging and drinks on the beach right next door at the Naia resort. I am a photographer and enjoyed the cool mornings on the patio taking photos of beautiful birds right from the patio. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back.

So happy we found this place! The location was perfect for us. We walked to town for groceries, dining, gifts and visited the many beaches along the main beach sidewalk. We cooked most days, but the days we would dine out, the food was amazing. Edwin, the property caretaker, was extremely helpful with recommendations and was always available to take us across the canal. He goes out of his way to help us. One day our rental car battery died and Edwin helped us get ahold of the rental company to pick us up because our phones could not make calls in Belize. We were able to use a chat thru whats app to communicate. I hope to come back! What an amazing vacation. Only feedback would be to add a pillow top on the master bedroom king bed. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Kimberly’s support, services, recommendations and responsiveness was exemplary. She helped us in so many ways and responded to our questions in a timely manner. The condo was absolutely beautiful and the location was outstanding. The resort was peaceful, protected from the wind and was very private. Long walks on the beach, lounging at the palapa, paddling to the false Caye near by, shopping at the nearby village, swimming off the dock and just lounging on the beach were just a few our highlights here.
