We loved our stay at Lyn and Bobby's cottage. Whilst being spacious, it was cosy and comfortable with everything that we could have needed... and more, as there was a wonderful welcome package waiting for us when we arrived. A lovely surprise! The property was very easy to find - just one road back from the main street in Kirkcudbright - and yet it was in a very quiet road. The cottage's location ensures that it's easy to walk to the centre of Kirkcudbright and to enjoy all it has to offer. There are restaurants, take aways and a 'Tesco's' supermarket within walking distance as well. We parked on the road just outside the property, which was made unloading and loading easy. Lyn was a very proactive host, contacting us before and during our stay to ensure that everything was clear and that we were happy. We have only positive recommendations to offer and look forward to our next stay!

Gorgeous stay at The old School house. The house had everything we needed for a girls weekend to chill. The place was very clean and Elizabeth was very responsive to any queries or needs we had. Thank you so much, would love to come back.

We loved Maitland Park. Great space for a group of adults; we were four couples and didnt feel we were on top of each other by any stretch. Expertly laid out interior and exterior - I only wish the weather had let us out a bit more. Iain very easy to communicate with, we would definitely visit again

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage more than met our expectations. The only challenge we had was figuring out the TV controls, but even then it didn't take long. The kitchen was well equipped and we had fun watching a movie on VHS.

Great house with wonderful hosts - one of the best places we have stayed. A very warm welcome was provided with some home baked treats and we felt immediately at home. We only stayed one night but the house would be perfect for a longer stay as well. You can tell that the hosts care about their house and want their guests to enjoy it too - we loved it!

Our stay was exceptional. The property was in flawless condition and everything was as described. Tastefully decorated, warm, comfortable, spacious. Every need catered for and more. Absolutely beautiful property, the decor and the furniture are very in keeping with the age of the property. There was even a Narnia wardrobe! The Hot Tub is extremely private and has beautiful views into the woods. The kitchen and bathroom have a more modern feel and were both very clean. Martyn offers logs for the fire in the sitting room which is such a nice touch, especially after hot tubbing. A welcome bottle of bubbles on arrival to enjoy throughout our stay was very much appreciated. Our daughter loved her room and the turreted stairs made you feel like you were in your own mini castle. Martyn is a fabulous host, very friendly and very responsive with communication. Thank you so much for a wonderful couple of days away, we will be back!

This was our third trip staying at Dodside which speaks volumes in itself. Colin is very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of woid provided for the woodburner which made the accommodation very cosy. Would recommend but only if you drive as it's rural and a couple of miles from the nearest shops. Lovely and quiet though.

Beautiful, peaceful, cosy flat with amazing views of the sea, Tighnabruich village & the Isle of Bute. This is a real home from home, with everthing you could need, its super comfy and so quiet, a real gem. Waking up & coming through to the sun streaming in the window & looking out to sea is a great way to start the day. Great walks all around & a dip in the outdoor pool at Portavadie is fantastic. Morag was easy to get in touch with & came back to any questions very quickly, stay here you will love it :)

Staying at France's place was an absolute dream. It was exactly what my friends and I wanted. Frances was so helpful and had clear instructions for everything we needed such as: Wi-Fi, heating etc. When we arrived there was milk butter and fresh eggs from Frances' own hens. It was such a relaxing time that my friends and I have already booked in for another stay in July. Great price for a great place. I would highly recommend. A1

We loved our stay in this very comfy, clean flat. It had everything we needed. Kenny and partner were great hosts and showed us around, gave us instructions on how things worked and also gave us some very excellent recommendations for places to go, places to eat etc which was very much appreciated. The flat is in a good area, a short walk from the centre. The furnishings are excellent, very quirky and made the flat feel warm, cosy and very relaxing. We looked forward to coming back to flat after a busy day of sightseeing. The kitchen is compact but again had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, there was plenty of drawers, hanging spaces and the bathrooms were very clean and tidy. We loved the hidden bookcase. We were sad to leave our little holiday flat and would highly recommend it to anyone. we would definitely book again when we return to Glasgow.

I don’t know where to begin, Lisa was so helpful with changing plans. The apartment was so comfy, with many extras in the refrigerator and cupboards. I’m planning a move to Lars, Scotland ; and not only did she answer my questions, but invited me out with the locals. Certainly not what a typical renter needs, but it’s the example of her monstrous superpower as hostess! Don’t hesitate to book!

Booked this AirBnB for my parents to stay at that were coming up to Scotland for the weekend, Margaret was very helpful and made the stay easy and stress free, would highly recommend and definitely book again in the future!

We stayed here whilst visiting family over Christmas. very convenient for us and just next to the Spa shop for supplies. Spacious apartment, and good central heating needed at this time of year.

An extremely spacious main door apartment in a great location. Well appointed kitchen, very comfortable beds, good bathrooms and comfortable lounge and snug. A bonus was a Christmas tree and some decorations 🎄 Walkable to shops, cafe, restaurant and train station is a few minutes away, just one stop to Glasgow Central station. Lesley, the host, was easy to communicate with and very responsive to any questions during our stay. Highly recommend this property.

This airbnb was perfect! Not only was Aidan able to arrange an early check in so we could ditch our bags, we also arrived to a beautiful welcome hamper and warm, clean apartment. There were several really special additions we hadn’t expected! Amazing sound system, fantastic equipment (amazing hairdryer/tv/kitchen appliances). The apartment was particularly beautiful and the decor was both relaxing and fun. Comfy bed and sofas, plenty of blankets (not that we were cold, it’s very cosy), beautiful features and overall, we just didn’t want to leave! We would 100% book this apartment again and recommend it to everyone we know!

A gorgeous stay, beautiful scenery with options for walks and swims and a lovely environment. Equipped with everything you would want and a responsive host. We always have a lovely time when we stay here and will be back again!

I would be hard pressed to remember a better equipped house. the hosts had literally thought of everything-from crabbing buckets to pizza cutters. on top of this of this to house was absolutely pristine and everything was very new and extremely well laid out and decorated. this is a fantastic base for up to two families to explore the local area. two minutes from the beach and from the local hotel. can't recommend it highly enough!

We were blown away with the beauty and character of this gorgeous home!! It’s totally unique and an amazing space to spend time with everyone. The indoor and outdoor space was wonderful, we wished it had been summer weather to enjoy the outside area! Has everything you need and more, a very smooth check-in process and great communication from the hosts. Would recommend to everyone, would love to visit again! Thanks so much.

Brilliant stay highly recommended, we are staying between house moves and this place has been amazing for us

The Old Nunnery was easy to find. Entry was supposed to be a key code lock but this was broken. We could enter but not lock the door. One phone call and Tom who was looking after the property immediately attended and arranged for a locksmith. A new lock was fitted within a couple of hours which was brilliant. The house is large and provided great accommodation for the family. We were comprised of adults and older teens giving them space to socialise and play games but also space for everyone to watch a film together. Huge kitchen and dining room perfect as we took all our meals together creating a very special Christmas. We were 15 in total and it did not feel crowded.the kitchen has lots of crockery and cutlery and a fantastic bar area. Hot tub steam room and sauna which was greatly enjoyed. There are sone artworks as mentioned in previous reviews which might not be suitable for younger children. The views are stunning and many a morning spent watching the seals. Short drive to shops

Just stayed here in a party of 10. What a super, well equipped house with everything that was needed for a great weekend with friends. Location is just perfect - overlooking the sea with lovely walks nearby and good, friendly eating places/hotel right next door and within short walking distances. Can certainly recommend.

A wonderful place for a large gathering, we had a special birthday with more than a dozen family members and the house had ample space for everyone. Host contact was top notch, and The Hollies was exactly as described.
