Lisa’s home was very quiet, peaceful and set in a beautiful mountainous location. This house is a haven for those with respiratory or allergy issues as the cleaning products used are unscented. She was very clear about the gravel road leading to the house. There is about 1.7 miles of gravel road, but you can easily drive this in a small sedan- do not discount this rental just for that- it is in an absolutely gorgeous area. There are neighbors but we could not see or hear them! The house has a one-car carport and a covered porch with grill and table plus comfy chairs for lounging. The primary bedroom is upstairs with a bathroom, kitchen and living room and first TV. Two secondary bedrooms and a bath are downstairs as well as the washer and dryer and second TV with lounge area. The house is on well water so do not expect city water pressures. We had an issue with the coffee pot and one smoke detector batteries acting up and Lisa responded almost immediately with replacement!

Good: Thoughtful and considerate about small details people might need when they are traveling, ex- first-aid kit, female hygiene etc. Neat and clean place. Extra spares like blankets and other stuff. The place is peaceful, close to nature. Things to consider: The other bedroom doesn’t have an isolation between bath and bedroom. It would have been good to have blackout curtains near the entrance door. And actual door or some form of partition there.

First time on lake James and it blew us away! Andrew’s home was a perfect fit for us to be able to enjoy the surroundings!

Is my second time staying in Dawn Cabin, my family and I we love it ❤️❤️ we feel like is already our second home Dawn is amazing and the communication is great. I recommend it, we definitely will keep coming back. Thank you Dawn for share your beautiful home.

House was amazing. Very clean and organized. Everything was as advertised. Hot tube, grill, fire place, outside fire place. The hosts were accommodating and flexible. They responded almost immediately. If your thinking of staying in the area then you should not get any other place but this one. We also were able to celebrate my daughters 1st birthday here while on vacation. it was amazing.

Nice house. A little dated, but that was kind of nostalgic. Mountain views are breathtaking!!

My family and I recently stayed at Corinne’s place for Christmas as my mom lives nearby. It was a perfect Airbnb for us - absolutely beautiful house and views, plenty of space, kitchen and laundry were ideal. We did not use the sauna or the downstairs but they looked great too. Internet was fast and beds were comfy too. We hope to stay again when visiting family!

My husband and I loved staying in Brad's home for a week this spring - the cabin is wonderfully remodeled and has a welcoming, quiet, cozy vibe. We enjoyed the beautiful, serene surroundings - I spotted a few deer nearby. The kitchen was well-appointed and organized, and the bed was comfortable. It's also just a short drive into Morgtanton. We enjoyed our stay and hope we'll be back!

5 Stars — A Perfect Stay! Allison and Cory were incredible hosts! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless—check-in was a breeze, the space was spotless, and every little detail felt thoughtfully curated. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. The home was cozy, stylish, and had all the comforts you’d hope for (plus a few extra touches that made it feel special). Communication was quick and friendly, and they made sure I felt welcome the entire time. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommend!

Blin's place was spotless, comfortable and the view was stunning - Fall leaves were in full color while we were there. The bathrooms were spacious and clean - the water was hot with good pressure. The king bed in the master was supportive and comfortable. I heard no complaints about the bunk room beds the kids used. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, bowls and cooking utensils. All appliances worked well. It was muddy while we were there so we rolled up the light colored rugs so we didn't accidentally stain them. We had our dog with us and there was plenty of area for him to run and the streets were quiet for a walk along the road. There are steps all the way to the water which will be amazing for lake access in the summer. As it was cold while we were there and the lake was still recovering from Hurrican Helene, we did not get in the water. All in all it was a great place to stay.

Karen was helpful in sending recommendations and communication regarding the impact of Helene on the area. Always answered questions and put us at ease. The suite was beautiful and the amenities were nice and the views were great. Instructions were helpful. I would highly recommend this suite

This is a private quiet stay that is close to Main St in Marion. Great appliances, comfy couch, and cute sun room/reading nook. Would definitely stay again.

Romer’s place was a nice place to stay! Very cozy and clean. Romer was quick to respond and friendly.

We loved this space! Extremely clean. I thought it was nicer than the photos, cozy, private and comfortable. The bed and bedding was super comfy. A perfect cozy long weekend! We loved the outdoor space. The hot tub was great and very clean. We also enjoyed the porch swing. The space was a 4 minute drive to downtown Black Mountain (not walkable though, you do have to go on a highway), an adorable downtown area with lots of restaurants, shops, ice cream and coffee. We were 20 minutes from Ashville. It was a very easy drive to Ashville. Would definitely come back! It was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. The area also felt very safe.

I had an incredible stay at this cabin! It was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The peaceful surroundings made it a perfect getaway, and the attention to detail made it feel like home. The location was a little different than I expected, but it was still a great spot to relax and enjoy nature. The hosts were very responsive and thoughtful, ensuring a smooth and comfortable stay. Every moment was enjoyable. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Adorable cabin, just what we needed for a quiet weekend away! it was comfortable & had what we needed!

This was our second time spending our family Christmas Vacation at Miller High Life. Once again we were thrilled with the entire experience. The view is spectacular. The cabin is clean, well maintained and fits our needs perfectly. You are tucked away in complete privacy but close to Old Fort, Black Mountain and a short drive to Asheville. Candace is available if the need should arise to answer any questions. We love Miller High Life and cannot wait to visit again! Thanks Candace for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!

Came to the area with a group of friends for the weekend to do some cycling and mountain biking. This place was perfect. Can ride right off the porch a short way down the road to several of the best mountain bike trails and cycling routes. Short (<10 min) drive into Old Fort. Hot tub was great for recovering and relaxing after a day of high exertion. Very clean and comfortable. Quality linens and beds. Both cozy and light and airy.

Our time at Lisa’s place was incredibly relaxing and a perfect weekend getaway. The views were amazing, the interior was tastefully decorated, and the home was much larger than the pictures show! Our favorite part was the special bottle of wine the host left for us and the great vinyl collection. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed spending our honeymoon at the cabin. Very peaceful and beautiful views.
