We loved using the pool and the patio/grill area. The view and the landscaping are beautiful. The owner was helpful and responsive; she supplied firewood and charcoal. Plenty of dining space both indoors and out. Good A/C.

This unit is on the western end of a series of duplexes named Senedo Springs. The gravel roads up here are very walkable. It’s possible to trek down to Lake Laura although it’s a big vertical climb back up. The unit is airy and nice, better than the pictures. Thankfully there is not actually a murphy bed in the living room as shown in the pictures. The blankets are outdated so I recommend bringing your own. Plenty of cookware and dishes available but you’ll need to bring oil, spices, and all other food items. The amenities are great! It’s also nice they provide firewood just a short walk away. Good view of Great North Mountain in the winter. Amazing night sky from this location. This was our second time staying here and it kept its five-star rating!

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect! The communication between us and the host was phenomenal! The house was perfect for everything we needed! The hot tub was a family favorite!

We hosted our teen retreat and it was a great space for team building and bonding. We definitely will be back! Great access to various activities for them to enjoy! The home felt like we were visiting a family member’s home. Jeff was a great host and very responsive to my messages.

Our family of four spent two nights at Callie's Cottage. We had a great time enjoying the trails, fishing the pond, and watching the horses. Our kids had a lot of fun playing in the treehouse. The house was cozy, clean and well appointed.

Our extended family really enjoyed this beautiful home! It’s new and very spacious, with high ceilings and nice light. The kitchen has just about everything someone could need and the deck was wonderful for enjoying fresh air, while the large downstairs area was great for kids. We loved the hot tub. Deb was friendly and helpful, and this home is just really lovely and very pleasant!

We felt right at home, everything was pristine and clean, peaceful, beautiful tucked away private location. The amenities were everything we needed to have the ease of a getaway where we didn’t have to worry about packing extra items. From baby equipment to the game room we felt like it fit all of our needs perfectly. I appreciated all the thoughtful details that are put in place to make sure you truly are comfortable as a family traveling. Loved the gazebo and firepit on the deck! The ambiance really suited all our guests. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My second time staying at this home over the last five years. Great place for our family gathering. The grandchildren loved the "fort" under the stairs and watching all the deer . Fantastic to come back and relax by the fire after skiing . Best stocked kitchen in a rental we have experienced and we travel and use Airbnb and VRBO often . Would definitely stay again :)

Jeff was great at communication and flexibility for our trip. If you’re looking for a great host that makes you comfortable, stay here. The house itself was awesome. We had no major issues, which is rare for a rental of this size

perched atop the hill, this house has a perfect view of the valley below. Just sitting down in the deck with coffee for 30 mins will melt away your stress! Inside was a very well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, linens and pillows for 13 of us. Lot of non-screen entertainment for the kids was a huge plus! We are already planning our trip back here.

Dream View was a dream!! Our five year old had an absolute blast playing with all of the toys and exploring the grounds. The house was perfect, so many spots for sitting and enjoying a book or just to listen to the wind in the trees. It was a peaceful, lovely stay and would absolutely stay again!

We had a great time celebrating a friends birthday over the weekend. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful views. Beds very very comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. Very cute place!

Wonderful weekend stay right on the river. Easy access to the hazel river, Shenandoah national park, as well as some short trails right on the property. Spectacular views from every window and multiple decks. It’s easy to sit and read a book while listening to the peaceful sounds. This property is beautiful with everything you need to feel right at home. It felt more like a home than a rental property. It was well decorated and somewhere you actually want to spend time vs drop your stuff and head out. We enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

We really enjoyed our time here and wished we could have stayed longer! The house was spacious and had beautiful mountain views. Our kids loved the large yard and game room. It was quiet and peaceful, yet only a quick drive to get groceries. The drive to Shenandoah was only 15-20 min too.

a unique property and experience. the pond view offered the level of privacy and relaxation needed for a valentine's day weekend. wouldn't mind staying again. I would also be interested in venturing toward a different type of themed stay offered. the add on of a couples massage was great too.

So happy to have stayed in Susanne's home! She was so warm and welcoming at our check-in and was ready to answer questions that I now see were already answered in the posting but I had overlooked hahaha. She was kind nonetheless and was helpful! My husband, 2 year old, parents, mother-in-law, and aunt & uncle stayed the weekend for a nearby wedding. We were so pleased to see that there were toys and books for our son! He absolutely loved the home, especially having ample space outside to play and see the cows too! It was a beautiful and peaceful property! Just a note that I wanted to add for future stays in case it's helpful for anyone planning - the full bathroom upstairs is shared between the single beds (bedroom 3 in the pictures) and the queen (bedroom 4). The double bed (bedroom 2) would have to enter through either of the other two rooms to use that bathroom. And then the downstairs bathroom is the only one downstairs. It worked out perfectly fine for us and our arrangements!

Just as pictured, private, quite, and comfortable. My guys and I where comfortable for or work trip in the area. Would definitely stay again.

Nicole’s place was absolutely perfect for our girls’ getaway! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and provided the perfect balance of comfort and seclusion. We loved how private and peaceful it felt—such a great escape from the hustle and bustle. The fire pit was amazing for cozy evenings, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day of hiking. There’s a Walmart at the bottom of the mountain if you need anything, which was super convenient. A heads-up: if you’re planning to leave on a Sunday, the nearby landfills are closed, so you’ll need to take your trash further along your route home. The drive up the mountain is stunning, but definitely requires an AWD/4WD vehicle to make it up stress-free. Nicole was so responsive and easy to communicate with, which made everything even smoother. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to escape and enjoy a relaxing, secluded retreat! Great place and awesome location, close to Old Rag and White Oak Canyon. Clean and nice accommodation, with a great view. Kid friendly as well. Would definitely recommend.

We loved the house and the area!! It was so quiet and peaceful. We sat on the porch for hours just staring at the view! Great hiking trails nearby!

It’s a very cute house, we really enjoyed our stay. We had no cell service but there is WiFi so it all worked out great! It’s the woods so there are some bugs inside but nothing too bad. It’s a great place, easy to get to as well. I’d definitely stay here again!

This place was perfect! I stayed here with my Fiance and brother in law with our pups and it was perfect...easy to get into, good space, lots of movies/games/music there. The stocked kitchen to make dinner in and coffee stocked to have with breakfast was a huge plus, as well. The yard and fireplace was amazing, and all fenced in so my dogs could run and play safely. Justin was very polite and helpful and responded quickly if I had any questions at all. We will absolutely stay here again next time we are in the area!
