This place was beautiful, very clean and so peaceful! Wonderful views! The house has everything you need, clean kitchen, clean bathrooms, plenty of towels, and very comfortable beds. Would highly recommend to anyone.

What an amazing place! Sapelo Island is so interesting - both the local community & its history, and the unique beautiful environment; Stephan connected us with local people and recommendations to fully explore all of this. We were very sad to leave. The house is a really cool place; lots of space and not too precious - perfectly set up for enjoying this magical place. Thank you Stephan! We hope to return!

We needed Captains Cottage to house our adult children for a family gathering in Shellman Bluff. This was perfectly located for that purpose. It’s literally a short walk to the river or Hunters Cafe, which is also on the river. Shellman Bluff is an old fishing village, so the neighborhood will not have a country club look or vibe, but it is clean, safe and there’s plenty to see and do on a low scale level. There is hiking, boating, fishing, bicycling and the area is perfect for scenic car or motorcycle rides. As for Captains Cottage, it is everything you need and then some. Take note that they warn you there is only 1 shower. That made timing really important because our daughter loves to hog the bathroom. But it worked out fine. You do have the 2nd bathroom without a shower, so two toilets is pretty helpful.

We had no idea about the Darien community, but were looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of St. Simons. What a beautiful little town and a great Airbnb stay with Susan. I fell in love with the old coastal homes and majestic live oaks, as well as the beauty of the waters. Communication upfront was great - check-in was. easy, and the place was absolutely spotless. Because Susan had such good quality linens, now hubby is dissatisfied with ours at home, so I will definitely be upgrading my linens. Thank you Susan!!😁 I have probably stayed at a dozen or so Airbnb’s, and Susan’s was by far the cleanest and most well stocked. We had great coffee and little breakfast snacks and her place is quite charming. We had everything we needed and more. Susan let us know about things to do in the area and restaurants are just a short walk to the water. Guests have a totally private entrance to the Airbnb and it is a fabulous and safe walking neighborhood. Thx for everything!!

Very clean well taken care of ARBNB that is very well stocked. We brought our dogs and the fenced backyard was great for them and for grilling out on the patio.

Absolutely peaceful place to stay. Fishing was slow this trip but that’s why it’s fishing. We did have a dolphin come up and visit us twice at the dock. Super clean and the space is great. Definitely will be back.

This place is amazing! Very private area, neighbor on one side only. Worth it to get up in morning to see a stunning sunrise! We celebrated an early family Christmas with our grandchildren. Plenty of space outdoors to play, although it was a bit cold in evening but there is also plenty of space inside. We did a lot of cooking (indoor and outdoor) and everything we needed was readily available. The house was very clean and Michelle was quick to respond to questions. We loved our stay!

We had an amazing time. Lots of stuff to do in the area and our cabin was immaculate. Hosts were very friendly and responsive.

This place exceeded our expectations. It was clean. The property was perfectly situated and sized. The amenities were amazing. It allowed our family to have an actual vacation. We relaxed and had fun. Most everything was provided, from fishing equipment to firewood. We enjoyed the pool, the piers, the bikes... In short, we will be returning.

Great Stay. Beautiful Marsh View. House was perfect. Well stocked kitchen. Beds were amazing. The great room with fireplace was a perfect place to visit with family late into the evening. If i return to Darien I will be staying at Emma’s Farm.

We had an amazing experience at Emma’s Driftwood Farm! It was so peaceful as well as beautiful! Our hosts were so accommodating and sweet, we would love to come back!

John’s place is in a great location in Darien. It’s within walking distance to many eateries, bars, wine and coffee shops. There’s no kitchen, thus access and proximity to places to dine was a plus. It’s very quiet and private even being less than 15 ft from his other Airbnb on the property. I’d book his place again when in town.

Home was very comfortable. We had everything we needed to cook in the home. The use of the kayaks was such a bonus as our group of 5 enjoyed a great paddle out on river. The extra special touches were so thoughtful- fresh eggs in the fridge and great smelling bath towels! We enjoyed meeting all the animals as well. Highly recommend.

We stay at the 1800s house ever so often and we always have a wonderful time! It’s in a cute and quaint area. John is quick to respond to any questions and is always so kind and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Sherry’s place is comfortable, clean, and a good value. Especially since there are no other airbnbs in the area. Thank you for all the extra paper products, everything we needed to cook, and tv’s with cable in all the rooms!

We could only stay one night, but I wish we had more time. I landed in the porch and spent all afternoon in to the evening there, and in the early morning. It was so peaceful looking out into the marsh. The place was adorable, everything we needed.

A weekend full of peace! This beautiful home is one of the most relaxing places we have stayed. Our host Linda was absolutely amazing. She left us farm fresh eggs in the fridge. And cared about every single detail. Definitely will book again in the future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our restful trip to Linda’s place. The view can’t be beat! We had everything we needed and even took advantage of the kayaks one afternoon. Great place.

We truly enjoyed staying here. It was very well maintained and very clean - and roomier than expected. We had our dog and there was plenty of room for her to play ball to exercise as we traveled. We weren't staying because of the refuge but were able to visit it a little and could really understand it's value (also saw nesting wood storks!) We ate at Old School Diner, which was an eclectic experience - and both the shrimp and flounder were exceptional.
