Renta de cabañas vacacionales en Condado de McLennan

The cabin and ranch were very nice and matched the description. We arrived after dark to check-in and it was a little difficult to find our exact cabin as there are several like it but they do have signs showing the cabin names outside each one. Once inside we found the cabin was comfortable and matched the listing. We had one problem the first night with getting hot water but that was fixed by the next morning. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. To note, the only seating options in the living room area are a couch/futon that can seat up to 3 and 2 bar stools and there are no tables or surfaces outside of the kitchen counters so finding places to set things can be difficult. There is a long road to get to the ranch that is paved but does have numerous dips and potholes. Finally, the stairs to the loft area are steep. The ranch does offer activities that can be booked directly through their website, we booked a couple and overall enjoyed the stay.

This cabin was exactly like the description and was an excellent place to stay also was easy to check in and out. We would recommend this a good place to stay.

“El Álamo” es una cabaña muy linda y acogedora, nos encanto que cuidan cada detalle para hacerla un rinconcito especial en el campo. Mi esposo y yo fuimos el fin de semana para celebrar nuestro aniversario, y este sitio fue muy lindo y perfecto para lo que queríamos: TRANQUILIDAD! Escuchar y ver a los cardinales en el árbol junto a la cabaña, poder observar los ciervos y antílopes en frente al acercarse el atardecer, alimentar a los burritos, disfrutar del paisaje, en fin! Cada detalle hizo que nuestra estadía fuera espectacular! Kelli fue eficaz al responder mis preguntas, además que la recomendación de Country Spring (un viñedo cercano) fue muy acertada, fuimos allí y disfrutamos una ocasión especial. En fin, recomiendo al 100% este hospedaje si quieres disfrutar de unos días con tranquilidad y en armonía.

Beautiful private space, can be lots of fun if visited with friends and families occupying the other houses.

My stay at Moon River Ranch was unforgettable! The cabin was cozy, beautifully decorated, and provided the perfect retreat surrounded by nature. The safari ride was a unique and amazing experience – we got up close to wildlife with knowledgeable guides who made it even more special. The ATV rentals were another highlight, letting us explore the stunning property through well-maintained trails, offering breathtaking views at every turn. We enjoyed the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, making this place ideal for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. We loved unwinding on the porch, soaking in the scenery, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The combination of activities, luxury, and serene atmosphere truly made this a standout experience. Highly recommend and will definitely return!

Loved celebrating my 50th Bday here! Very cozy, calm and relaxing! Would definitely come back to visit again maybe in the Spring or Summer next time. I give it a plus 10! 😊 James was an awesome host!

The cottage at Moon River was great, we enjoyed our time there. The property is beautiful, we felt right at home. We walked around the property and saw so much wildlife. While we stayed we drove to Waco it was very nice, I’d recommend that you visit. Overall the place was great.

This place was great!! We had a girls trip 2025!! Clean, simple, friendly host, and very hospitable with all there little touches!

This is a good find! We did not come to the area for an R&R weekend. But, we will come back to Moon River to have one. The exotic animals are an nice touch. Great to watch from the porch while enjoying morning coffee. - bring binoculars! Had a great visit, staff is great, and they are continuing to improve the property. Only slight downside is the public roads getting to the ranch - they are rough!

Our stay was worth what we paid. I wasn’t expecting it to be modern and that’s part of its great appeal. I was disappointed that there wasn’t a hayride as I thought. Also, the swimming pool is hot in the summer. We had a good time, but it was like taking a very warm bath. There was no restaurant, so be sure to take your food. Even with the slight negatives, the views and ambiance of the place is so worth it. I’ll be back.

Great place to stay very close to the town of Waco. Clean and comfy accommodations in a quiet area. I loved everything about this trip especially being able to travel with my puppies. Excellent host who was very responsive. Will definitely stay again!

What a great little escape. Host was proactive in reaching out, provided great instructions, and I imagine is very responsive, but everything was just as described and perfect so we had no need to contact Andrew. House was just as pictured and is a nice little home. Seems bigger inside and the windows offer a nice view and great lighting. The location was amazing with close access to the river and a lot of open green space to play in around the house. We spent our days at the river kayaking and talking to the occasional passerby. Just beautiful and peaceful. The water was a little low so we were able to put our camping chairs on part of the dry riverbed and sit and listen to the birds. At night we sat by the fire pit (smaller pit located in the front yard) and watched all the deer grazing on the other side of the yard. It was a great space and we spent most of the time outdoors enjoying the surroundings. Will be coming back to this nice little retreat.

Best second time visit ever!!

The place is great! We loved it!!! However a couple things I would take note of 1.) there’s 2 travel trailer spots next to the cabin. Photos don’t let you know that but we had a family and bunch of kids next to us when we stayed (wasn’t an issue but people might want to know) 2.) internet is super slow. (At least they have it) It’s like 10 meg speed. Enough to connect and buffer through things, but don’t expect much from it (if you’re trying to do work too) 3.) there’s a dvd player so bring some dvd’s if you want. Like I said, we had a great stay! It’s deff worth it!

This was a last minute booking , and they were very accommodating. It is an Ideal location for nature lovers. You will get to experience some enjoyable wildlife sightings. Moon river has Peaceful atmosphere.

We had a relaxing stay at the cozy cabin. The place was decorated very nicely and the bed was comfortable.

Drew’s place was cozy very clean and overall wonderful with a great location just 15-20 min outside of Downtown Waco. Will be staying here again and recommend to others.

The place was beautiful, the pictures really do no justice. If I had to say what's something I wished was there that was not, would be a conventional oven, a small stove top burner, and possibly a TV....other than that the place itself was very efficient and perfect for a quick stay.

This was a beautiful home with a modern cottage feel. The natural surroundings were like being in a tree house. Loved the separate deck with a river view.

This cabin was cozy and conveniently located to our event we were attending. Very clean so a plus in my book! Unfortunately We didn’t get a chance to venture out and explore we just needed a place to lay our heads and shower. Host is very responsive. All good things 😊

Jimmy and Andra’s lodge just outside Waco was awesome! It’s a well maintained, clean, rustic cottage with all the amenities needed for your trip. The owners go over and above providing a bottle of wine and venison jerky as well. The view of the farm was nice to sit on the back patio and enjoy. I would recommend this unique property to anyone visiting Waco. It’s a quick and easy drive into town.

We really enjoyed our stay. They’ve made great use of the small space in the container. For the two of us, the size was not a problem. Bring an extra pillow if you need more than one, due to lack of space there were only two pillows total. The bed was very comfy and clean. We liked sitting out on the rooftop deck, there was some road noise but that can’t be helped and it did not diminish our experience. The shower was great and lots of bathroom necessities provided (toothbrush, soap, razor, etc) in case you forget something. Lots of great recommendations provided which we used and they helped us have a wonderful stay in Waco!!

Billy was a great host. I would definitely stay at the carriage house again.
