This was a great stay. It's a skier or snowboarder's dream house. The ski-in/ski-out is the best at Lutsen. This unit (and the 5 other executive townhouses) is about 10 yards from the groomed cat-track to the bottom of Moose Mountain. Any other townhouse types are further down the goat trail that can get dicey at the best of times and impassible during low-snow spells. For kids or beginners, this is effectively the only true ski-in/ski-out of the townhomes. The layout and decor was spot on. It is extremely functional. The main floor has an outdoor ski locker and mudroom, while the lower level has a walk out door on the back side near the cat track with a tiled floor, big bench, hooks, table and chairs. These features made it super easy to take gear on and off, but also not track any snow or dirt into the main area. The decor of this unit is also on-point. It is more clean and pleasantly understated, while still being comfy & cozy and maintaining an up-north feel.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Lake Superior retreat while volunteering and spectating at the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon. The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic, and provided easy access to key race spots like the checkpoint Sky port, Otter Lake road crossing, and the Grand Portage finish. It was also an easy drive to Grand Marais for dining and exploring. The cabin is a perfect mix of rustic charm and comfort, with stunning lake views and cozy in-floor heating. After long days out in the cold, it was the perfect place to warm up and unwind. Tiffany was an excellent host—extremely easy to communicate with and very responsive. The property’s history, nearby Hovland Dock, and surrounding trails make this a special place for any North Shore adventure. We highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to relax and explore this beautiful area!

We were a group of 9 adults and Jess and Paul’s place is perfect for a large group. It is very difficult to find enough sleeping spaces, so this worked out perfectly for us. The hosts are very responsive and proactively communicated with us. The property manager apartment is connected to the house, but we had our own space and there is privacy. The amenities are awesome, the sauna was TOASTY! We loved long evenings by the fire outside. Amazing access to trails - both easy and challenging. Grand Marais is just 5 minutes down the road. Overall, we had a 10/10 experience!

Kim and Alfie’s place was great, it felt like home! Very clean and cozy, easy to follow directions and they were very generous and incredibly accommodating. I would recommend their place to anyone going skiing, golfing, hiking or just simply visiting the North Shore. My wife and I were already trying to find excuses to come back and stay at Kim and Alfie’s place again. It’s open and bright allowing for larger groups to socialize easily and enjoy time together. Our kids had a blast and the oldest one “didn’t want to leave!” Thank you again for a great stay!

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was clean and the kitchen was fantastic. Shelley was proactive in communicating what to expect. The hot tub was lovely, and the perfect way to relax after hiking around the local Provincial Parks. This was perfect for exploring the Thunder Bay area!

Perfect location for skiing in as long as you can ski blue or better. You can definitely ski out even as a novice ( me!) and go up then small easy ski over to the gondola to go down to the bunny hills . That was a fun little excursion for me to get outside of the one beginner area. Just had to get a ride back because the ski in was little too difficult ( rest of the family did it just fine and loved it!)- which is a quick drive to condo. Condo is perfect sized for our family of 6. Beautiful view of birch trees out back. Moguls right next store is absolutely delicious food! It was a great trip. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful girls' weekend! Beautiful views, fireplace, relaxing spaces, comfy beds, all the amenities one would need, including makeup remover & phone chargers next to the lamps, was a nice touch! Hot tub and pool were wonderful! Great recommendations for places to go around Tofte, Lusten & Grand Marais! Thank you for being amazing hosts! It was definitely a home away from home!

Erik was very easy to work with, answered all questions in a prompt manner. House was very clean, and exactly what was described. Sauna was amazing. Highly, highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Grand Marais area.
