We have stayed here previously 3 yrs ago and returned as the area is great. Cottage is in a rural location which we like as we enjoy exploring on long walks with our dog. The cottage is lovely and the location is perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a fabulous stay at Emma's house. The house is absolutely spotless, extremely well kitted out, comfortable beds, and everything was perfect. Emma was very easy to communicate with, very prompt and helpful with any questions, the location is perfect, has off road parking spaces and is within a 3 minute walk of a great fish & chip shop, Indian restaurant and a good pub. There are some great walks right from Emma's house. We would definitely recommend this house and will book here again on our next visit to the Peak District. Thanks Emma, John & Tanya

Instructions for arrival were spot on. We found the cottage beautifully furnished and decorated up for Christmas. When lit in the evenings it looked lovely and felt cosy and comfy. The small dining table was perfect for four adults and we thoroughly enjoyed the home made cake, biscuits and prosecco. such a lovely touch. We did take our own milk but found Milk and fresh orange juice supplied in the Fridge, another fab touch. Two beautiful fireplaces with a great supply of logs to have the log burners running making the rooms beautifully warm and cosy. The Kitchen had everything you could wish for. The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfy. Literally a stones throw from the property is a local pub and Biggin Hall and the location was really close to the Tissington Trail. All in all our friends and ourselves had a fabulous couple of days away relaxing and walking after the hectic Christmas festivities. Cannot fault the place and would definitely return. Wonderful 😊

Had a great weekend here. Beautiful views and walking locally. Beer festival in The Old Poets, Ashover, was an added bonus. The property is exactly as described. Lots of great features. So nice.

Rachael has a top AirBnB rating because her place is superbly located and thoughtfully set-up. The cottage is very light, spacious, super comfortable and clean, and has all that you could want for a relaxing stay. Standout details are the list of walks and places to eat and drink, the views from the house, the really well equipped kitchen – and not forgetting Rachael’s greeting with a tin of home baked brownies, 2 ponies and 2 dogs! And the stag with antlers running in the next field… We will be booking our next stay at Rachael and Gerry’s cottage soon and hope to book the neighbouring Stables Cottage and superb looking cabin too for a visit with family.

What a wonderful weekend we had! I celebrated my 60th birthday there. A charming Barn with lots of character. Lovely & welcoming with a special cake and birthday decorations. Treats & a bed for the dog too! All my family thoroughly enjoyed it! Lolly, the facilities manager, was really friendly and helpful before we arrived and available all weekend with any issues we had that were resolved so quickly. Thank you Lolly! My husband and I had a lovely stay here with our puppy. the campsite was lovely and included everything you would need such as kettle microwave etc, and the dining area is especially helpful too. The area is lovely and there is 2 pubs within a short walking distance both of which are dog friendly and serve great food we particularly enjoyed the gate inn. The area is beautiful and there is lots to see and do we would love to come back again to this site to see some of the places we didn’t get the chance to go, Thankyou Caroline for a lovely break away and for being a welcoming and accommodating host throughout our stay.

A wonderful place to stay. Sunset, deers, roaming chickens, cosy accommodation amazing views. Just a few miles away is an impressive outdoor swimming pool and a lovely Indian restaurant however with the moors on your doorstep there is something for everyone. Padley gorge, longshaw cafe and fox house also not far away. Lots of attention to detail in the accommodation a real home from home feel.
