The cottage was like an old fashioned B&B with careful attention to every detail. Interesting books, seed for the bird feeder, comfy throws for sitting by the fire… it was magical. If we weren’t in the area for a family event, we would have been content just sitting on the deck watching the birds and hiking the trails. The fully stocked refrigerator was a lovely surprise, and put to good use.

We had the most wonderful stay at Mr. Brett’s Airbnb! The place was absolutely stunning – peaceful, idyllic, and full of character. Every corner of the home felt special and unique, making it a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Mr. Brett himself was an amazing host. He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, while also giving us the privacy to truly unwind and enjoy the space. His warm hospitality really made the experience that much more special. We are already planning our next visit and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a host who truly cares!

Andrew was our saviour as previous accom was cancelled due to flooding. What an absolute gem hidden away in a delightfully peaceful location but so near everything we needed. Andrew was incredibly helpful and I loved the detailed instructions which made logical sense. the cottage was beautifully appointed, fluffy clean towels and a very well equipped kitchen plus laundry facilities. I have stayed at Thackeray Cottage a few times. It's a wonderful place... lots of charm... close to local villages... the beach... the CBD. And Alyce is a charming host that makes you feel very welcome.

Enjoyed our stay in this property. This is the perfect location if you like coffee and if you have a dog. There is a park across the road for the dog to play in. Yarraville is a very dog friendly area. The house was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay in Olinda, the house felt so homely and there was plenty of space. We had some friendly Kookaburras visit us on the deck and lovely mist rolling in on the first morning. Plenty of spade and quite private. The bed was really comfy. The house is on the older side so don't expect everything to be new and modern but it had such a nice homely feel and all the creature comforts you need. I'd love to stay again in the future!

Matilda’s Cottage was a perfect little spot that catered two nights before our wedding and our wedding night. While we are local, I highly reccomend utilising this cosy quiet accommodation. You are not far from gisborne vineyards and town centre and a short drive up the freeway into the Macedon ranges. Take a short drive continuing up benson rd you’ll grab a nice view of the valley. Thanks for having us!

Host was incredibly responsive and very helpful. Place was well put together and had everything you could need. Beds were comfortable and spacious.

We had lovely stay at Ryan and Alex’s place. We love the vibe of the house, it is peaceful and elegant. Especially the living room - we enjoyed watching Netflix and our dog enjoyed the soft dog bed provided! There is a huge front and backyard with a fire pit - unfortunately we did not have the chance experience with it because of the terrible weather, we will definitely come back and try it next time! Thanks for hosting us!

amazing home away from the city. we appreciated the small gestures such as ensuring we had brekkie and the toys were great for our Lil man and the dog bed and toys too for our Lil fur child too! very communicative and easy to contact thank!

George their Labrador was fabulous and super friendly and obedient. we are world travelers and this was the best bnb we have ever stayed in. Awesome 2 weeks. Definitely booking again.

This phenomenal cottage was one of if not THE best cottage stay I’ve ever had in my many years on Airbnb. Staying here felt like such a wonderful dream with all of the small details and private outdoor space to lounge around in. If you’re looking for the perfect getaway stay look no further, this is the one! Pete was also just the best host ever and made us feel right at home. Again just cannot recommend this place enough, 11/10 stay!

Diana’s cozy cottage was truly a home away from home. Tucked away on a peaceful, secluded property surrounded by trees, it was the perfect retreat for my partner and I while we attended a wedding in the area. The cottage was well-maintained, the bed was comfy, and despite the scorching 35°C weather during our stay, the air conditioning allowed us to stay cool and comfortable. Diana was a fantastic host, ensuring everything was spotless and well-prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this little gem to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable escape.

Sulochi’s place was super beautiful and cosy, surrounded by a beautiful garden and lovely patch of views of the hills, beds were firm and comfortable and the sheets were amazing! This was my second time staying here- this one being for an extended period of time. I was in Melbourne as my son had to have surgery and Tarnia went above and beyond being a fabulous host to look after us. Her place felt like home whist we were here. All the little touches and her wonderful communication were so appreciated. It is in a perfect location being around the corner from Lygon st Carlton. If you like walking, Princes Park and the Carlton Gardens are within easy reach. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Tarnia’s Airbnb.
