We had the most wonderful and authentic African bush feeling. This remote place is stunning and the view from the house incredible. We enjoyed the terrace and braii area with wonderful sunsets. The walks in the reserve are one of a kind. We saw Zebras, Kudus, Duikers and so much more. Magdalena was so helpful and made this stay memorable. Our hearts are full. Thanks Elna.

Accommodation is amazing, 6 private en-suite chalets with a central boma area that has 3 separate kitchens with everything you could need to cook (there is a restaurant level prep kitchen). Pool is amazing but be okay with nature being around you, and do the game drives offered by Josh, so worth it! Sundowners by the hippo pool are a must and nightly fires lit for you are such a perk. This place is amazing, it’s huge and brilliant for a big family get away. Privacy and entertainment all in one, and the game on the farm is plentiful and so beautiful. The photos do not do this justice, the place will blow you away when you arrive. But bypass Airbnb and contact the host directly on their website, responsive and will save you some bucks.

Duiker cottage is a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The house is comfy and beautifully done. The bush is peaceful and the walking trails are great. We saw a nice variety of game and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Thank you Nikki and Andrew.

A very tranquil experience. The hosts were extremely friendly and very professional. Even with load shedding they kept us updated on load shedding times and ensured we had backup lights etc to make sure we were comfortable. Definitely aim to return, hopefully with a larger group.

An absolutely fantastic getaway! The Bungalow exceeded all expectations and provided the perfect escape from the city. The natural hot spring was undoubtedly the highlight—soaking in the 50°C mineral-rich water under the stars was an unforgettable experience. The property is beautifully secluded, offering complete privacy with stunning riverfront views, mountain scenery, and an abundance of birdlife. It’s the ideal place to relax, disconnect, and enjoy nature at its finest. The bungalow itself has a unique rustic Mediterranean-African charm, blending effortlessly with the natural surroundings. The braai and pizza oven were great additions, making outdoor cooking a pleasure. We also appreciated the fast WiFi, which worked even when there were temporary power trips (to clarify—there was no load shedding during our stay). A standout experience was the magical three-course meal Schalk arranged for us atop one of the nearby mountains.

What a gem! We visited as 2 couples, a newborn and two children and everyone had a great time. Marlien and Mikhail went the extra mile to make sure we could manage with a newborn and also so we could watch the boks play! The wildlife and location is beautiful and you can enjoy everything from just sitting on the shaded stoep. The house has everything you need and one of the best equipped kitchens we have been to. The beds were super comfortable and Dennis and Monica were superstars in ensuring our space was clean everyday. Will definitely return!

Clean, neat and spacious house with a special touch of care. Great place to bring the kids and their bikes and remember to pack your hiking shoes!

We had a wonderful rainy stay at Barbara’s place. The reserve is beautiful and makes for a wonderful bush experience. Serene with mostly modern amenities. The lounge had board games, pool and lots of books to keep you occupied should it rain. The pool is lovely too. The staff, especially Alpheus were fantastic. So helpful and kind. The property is more compound like, with separated living, dining and sleeping quarters nearby which makes it an ideal for an adult family getaway.
