Everything went smoothly and the flat was clean, spacious, and quiet. The amenities, like washer and dryer, were wonderful. While the location was slightly off the common "tourist path," we actually appreciated that and it was an easy bus ride or Uber back to the flat each night. We also enjoyed the local pub and the food choices nearby. My only issue was the lack of communication about the 3 flights of stairs/no lift. This fact is mentioned in other reviews (as I see now), but not in the description of the property nor in the initial instructions for accessing the flat. The stairs themselves are not Ben's fault and as I learned on my 14-day journey through Ireland and the UK, accessibility is not a priority in these old cities. That's fine. But the lesson for me I guess is to read reviews a little more closely, as that's the only place the stairs are mentioned. I have bad knees so trekking up the stairs each night after a long day was, quite simply, torture. But still a great stay.

Attractive and stylish period property with fresh neutral decor and plenty of space. High ceilings and original features. Location great, at start of one of the main roads out of town, less than 5 mins from train station. Town centre walkable in 10 - 15 mins through an established Victorian residential area around Lovers’ Walk. River / Whitesands area 15 - 20 mins walk. Easy parking for the property on adjacent side streets. Bus route too (Dumfries to Lockerbie). Property is on the ground floor of a 3 storey townhouse, with around 10 steps up to front door. Dumfries town centre and surroundings have lots to offer. Robert Burns’ House and Centre, Gracefield Art Gallery, River Nith and Dock Park, town Museum, small cinema, plus shops including M&S, a large old Dept Store (Barbour’s), and independent shops such as Flourish, for local gifts etc. Plenty of cafés, restaurants and pubs.

Die Unterkunft von Jay war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Es gibt gute Restaurants in der Nähe, man erreicht das Zentrum zu Fuss und ganz in der Nähe befindet sich der Arthur’s Seat. Der Aufstieg ist sehr zu empfehlen, man wird mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf die Stadt und die Gegend belohnt! Jay war sehr zuvorkommend, hat immer sofort geantwortet. Unser Aufenthalt war perfekt.

Lovely little flat, very clean and a great location for walking to anything you might need.

Very comfortable, clean and well equipped modern apartment (the only thing missing was a coffee maker). The heat worked very well. Despite being close to a busy street, the apartment was quiet, even for a picky sleeper like me, with good curtains and shades to keep out the morning light. The bed was big and comfortable. Being on the ground floor, it was somewhat dark, but we hadn't come to hang out there, so that was fine. Location was brilliant, being right down the steet from Haymarket train station and the Airlink bus. It's close to many food stores, cafes and restaurants and about a 20 minute walk from both Princes Street and an entrance to the Water of Leith walking path. Adam was very responsive to our questions during our stay. We would definitely stay there again!

Mel was a very helpful and friendly host. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a quiet and peaceful break. Particularly good for the dog with the garden being fully enclosed and free to roam.

I stayed at this wonderful property for a few days right after getting married, kicking off my honeymoon while also showing my new in-laws some of the best parts of the UK. The entire family had a great time here—it’s clean, very spacious, and truly felt like home. We did run into a minor issue with a bathroom leak (a bit of bad luck on my part, I suppose), but the host was incredibly responsive and did everything they could to resolve it quickly. I really appreciate how it was handled and am grateful for the prompt attention. Overall, I highly recommend this lovely property. If I’m ever in Edinburgh again with family or friends, I’d definitely check if this place is available before considering other options in the Old Town area. We all had an amazing time ! Plenty space for our family of 11 and 3 dogs.

This is let is worth a visit if you are a family or in a group. It's a peaceful location with off-road parking. We all had a room to ourselves and there are nice places to relax in the house. We were able to walk 5 minutes to the tram stop and be in Edinburgh centre in 20 minutes or so. You can make the best of Edinburgh when staying. Usman is very hospitable and will meet and show you round himself. He communicated well for us and was flexible with when we could check in. This proved very helpful on the day! I would recommend staying here, it's a nice place.

Nous avons passés deux jours chez Jamie et nous sommes très satisfaits. Ma fille de 6 ans était très contente de trouver des jouets dans la chambre d’enfants. Il y a un bus à proximité de la maison pour visiter Edimbourg. La maison est super et il y a tout ce qu’il faut. Très propre et sympa ! Merci Jamie

The apartment was easy to find, it is not in the city centre but there are bus stops nearby. We needed to take a bus very early in the morning to the airport and it was easy. The apartment is comfortable and large enough for four people. It is well furnished to have meals in the house. We enjoyed the welcome pack in the fridge. The conservatory and the rear garden are lovely. Enjoy your stay there!

La casa ha sido espectacular. Hemos ido un grupo de 6 amigas y hemos disfrutado de desayunar en el cocina muy amplia y con absolutamente todo lo que puedas necesitar. La casa estaba súper limpia y muy bonita decorada. Sin ninguna duda recomiendo este alojamiento

Utterly brilliant stay. Its rare to have a peaceful location but really very close to both the great West End cafés, bars and shops, as well as the tram stop. Allan was a wonderful host, extremely helpful with regards to an early check in request combined with a very friendly tone for all communication. The house was perfect for the 2 of us, really comfortable, good sleep, tv for the short period we were there. We have already booked a return visit. You couldn't do much better in my opinion.

Fantastic dwelling, great location and excellent hosts. We will definitely look to return to Edinburgh in the future and seek this residence as well as highly recommending it to our friends and family. Our hosts Mark and Dayna were wonderful especially with their wonderful gesture of allowing us to stay an extra night, free of charge, due to The Hogmanay Festival being cancelled. Thank you again. Nevertheless a wonderful visit to Edinburgh underpinned by an excellent apartment and generous hosts.

A lovely, clean apartment with all the amenities and the little extras. Gintare was a very friendly, responsive host. I would definetly stay here again and would recommend it as a place to stay in Edinburgh.

We stayed in Elizabeth’s place for our first couple of nights in Scotland. It was perfect and exactly what we needed! She was extremely accommodating to an early check in and met us right when we got there with instructions. The area is perfect and just a short walk to old town, new town and Stockbridge. Close to deans village! Beds were comfortable and everything was clean!

Really amazing and extremely beautiful flat. It is impeccably decorated and feels like you’re travelling back in time to an Enlightenment-era salon. The living room and bedrooms are like a manoresque time capsule whereas the bathroom and kitchen are modern and fully decked out. Barely wanted to leave the flat! One of the best airbnb experiences ever!

Great flat in a great location, with very receptive hosts. Bathrooms could do with a really deep clean- that’s the only negative.

We booked this place for one night for a family event in Edinburgh and it was absolutely fantastic. a very short and cheap taxi journey from the town centre, the check-in instructions were very clear with photos, the flat itself was absolutely spotless, very bright, specious and comfortable, we felt right at home and as the event had a late finish we did not feel as if we were disturbing anyone when we arrived home. The host was very helpful, friendly and responsive as was the folder of useful information left on the table. basically a fantastic experience and a beautiful flat, if we need to return to the area I would definitely check if this place was available before checking anywhere else, absolutely nothing negative to say at all, thank you so much, much better than booking a hotel.

L appartement est situé à 1.5km à pied de la vieille ville et à 400m du jardin botanique. Nous avons visité Edimbourg sur 2 jours à pied. L appartement est très bien aménagé et il y a même un adaptateur pour prise française. la chambre double dispose d une petite salle de douche /toilette privée en plus de la salle de bain principale. Nous y avons passé un très bon séjour. place de parking extérieure pour visiteur, place de parking dans la rue adjacente ( gratuit le we) Margaret a été très claire et agréable dans ses messages. Nous recommandons vivement.
