The apartment was just like the pictures posted online which is always a plus . It was spacious and clean and we truly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to rent while in WV.

Guy was very nice and communicative, and the Hunkerdown Inn was a well-organized, cozy space. Any quirks of the Inn were thoroughly described by Guy, so there were no issues, and he was a fantastic host! The Inn being attached to the coffee shop/cafe was also a treat because the food and coffee there were great!

What an absolute gem! Better than described, this suite is perfectly tuned for adults and for children. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The bathroom is clean. The living area is welcoming and relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped and well thought out. The travel decor and motif are outstanding. And the art room is a brilliant touch next to the in unit laundry area. After a long day of exploration and traveling, it was a great place for our family of five with kids 9-15 to stay, especially after a poor accomodation in a different town our night before. The occasional vehicle sounds can be noticeable but nothing a white noise app on our phone didn't fix. Thank you, Rebecca for giving us a wonderful place to relax and rest. We won't soon forget the apartment of the world!

As shown in the photos, there is a staircase with many steps outside that you have to take to reach the apartment. Once, there, you are in comfortable, spacious place that has most everything you'll need. The bed is quite comfortable and Sue provided 2 lovely quilts and a blanket, which were appreciated. The bathroom is huge (the size of a bedroom!) and has a washer and dryer inside, with still more room to spare! It was great having access to the washer and dryer for travelers like us who had been on the road for a while. We only stayed a few nights, but were able to visit New River Gorge National Park for 2 afternoons as well as make it to the Exhibition Coal Mine Museum in Beckley and to Tamarack to do some shopping. We would gladly stay again here if we return to the area.

Beautiful apartment! It can get a little warm in rooms without A/C. However, the apartment was so homey that we didn't even remember. Vanessa and Rafael were responsive and kind! Will definitely be back and 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a fair price.

Very responsive host. Amenities as listed. Beautiful location for peace and quiet while being a short drive to groceries and restaurants. Nice location to visit family at Virginia Tech and do some hiking to the Cascades or to visit the Mountain Lake Lodge.

This place is REMARKABLE & there are not words profound enough to describe how perfect everything was!! Pam has thought of EVERYTHING to make your stay enjoyable. Close to I81 yet feels remote. The lake is gorgeous - you need 4x4 to get down to lake OR it is walkable, although very steep. But SO WORTH going down there!!! 5 STARS !!!!

Love this place; it is our home away from home when we visit our son in West Virginia!

I was very happy to find Jarrid's place for our half way point stop. it was perfect. great layout and use of the space. I would love to come back when I have more time and sit on the porch and listen to the water running nearby.

Nice and clean place and comfortable bed ,good to stay for a family vacation and lots of extra bed and the place is quiet and peaceful and Danny is very responsive host.We definitely come back to stay again.

We had a great time staying here. Close to the trails and very nice property. Was super convenient parking and storage garage for our 2 dirt bikes and SXS. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area. Place has everything you will need.

we placed our reservation super last minute due to my 3 yr old needing a nap and out of the vehicle asap. after 4 otjer reservations being turned down over being so last minute and even tho the house was not ready for the night Ryan took time out of his evening and got the place ready for us within 30 mins. everything was perfect and we're so grateful 🙏🏻 ❤️

Great stay! Everything was clean and very nice secluded location. Was a little disappointed the hot tub was turned off for the winter and there was no note of that in the description. Overall, great stay and communication from the hosts. Would happily return!

This Airbnb was one of the best we have stayed in. The apartment was immaculate and bigger than it looks in the picture. Walking distance to bars and restaurants, easy check in and check out and very comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again!

This place was perfect for us. It's a nice and easy spot... with quick access to the slopes directly from the condo. Being on the first floor has the added benefit of not having to walk down flights of stairs in your ski boots. The place itself was cozy too... and the host was super responsive about questions and/or needs we had.

We loved the first floor access; no climbing up and down the stairs with ski gear! Dave was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns. The condo was very clean, comfortable (cozy) and kitchen was well-stocked. Great location for ski in/out. Will definitely stay again!
