The listing was so great we decided to extend our stay! The cottage is ideal for a getaway with many fun activities within the farm (and close by) to keep yourself entertained during the stay. Check-in process was seamless. Ross was kind enough to allow an earlier check-in. This was so helpful as it was raining quite disruptively and we had nowhere to go. He met us at the property, gave us a tour of the house and made some local recommendations. Great experience. The house was perfect for the 7 of us. The five rooms and en-suite bathrooms are spacious and comfy, and of course pet friendly. The property has everything you need, and is well looked after. We visited the beach close by, but decided to swim at the main beach (blue flag status with lifeguards) about a 3km drive from the property, with plenty of parking. We really enjoyed our stay, and loved the quality family time. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Oriole's Nest is a true gem, and so is Cathy. We were welcomed in such a warm way, we even found a bottle of bubbly and chocolate to make us feel home. The house is fully equipped, there is so much space to feel cozy in, the boma was the place to be for all of us. It's quiet, protected from wind, safe and well maintained. We stayed over New Year's and found so many candles we could light. There's even a generator for loadshedding. We were a group of adults and kids and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The very best of it is the location though. The sea view is amazing! Thanks to Cathy and Jean for a wonderful time on the South Coast!

Remote, peaceful & spectacular views. Worth the walk up the hill! Vuhile, our host, was brilliant. He went out of his way to make our stay memorable. Best experience we have had in the TRANSKEI so far. If you are looking for something special & different a visit to Basecamp Zebra is a must. House had everything one needed. Beds were comfortable & clean, enough towels & space is very well utilized. Great that there are 2 bathrooms with 2 toilets - helps when you are a crowd! The view from the verandah is just breathtaking -no photo can justify the real life experience. Thank you for allowing us to visit this hidden gem on the Wild Coast.

Gorgeous home with wonderful garden. Our beagle had the best time. Very close to beaches and La Trattoria! Steve and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
