We had a really lovely stay here- the beds were really comfortable! Like a little mini hotel room with a kitchen! Paul is super friendly and helpful. Thank you! Hopefully we will come and stay again next year!

We had a very comfortable stay at Joe's hut. The kitchen area was well equipped, breakfast provisions very generous and set us up for all the great walks accessible right out the back gate! As it states in the listing, you can hear the road noise outside the hut but inside it was well shut out and didn't disturb us. We would recommend and return :)

Wir hatten zwei schöne Tage und Nächte mit Hund im Bothy. Stromlos aber mit Kerzen und Solarlicht war großartig. Der Service mit den Kühlakkus war super und sehr nett. Das Bett und die Decken mega gemütlich. Kleine Info an Hundebesitzer mit Jagd ambitionierten Hunden: Das Gelände ist nicht eingezäunt und es gibt Hunderte! Fasane (vor der Jagdsaison im Oktober) Wir würden es absolut weiter empfehlen!!!

Tracy's place is the perfect getaway for a quiet weekend. It was a pleasure meeting Tracy and thank you for the helpful recommendations. The place was spotlessly clean. The log burner and hot tub are a nice touch. The local village has all the amenities you will need and some brilliant pubs. The surrounding countryside is perfect for walking. There is plenty to do and see. Thank you!!!!!!

We had a super couple of days staying for the Brighton marathon. Easy travel into Brighton from Hassocks. Beautiful walks around the Jack and Jill Windmills and South Downs Way.

Had a great week staying at Amberfold with Jon and Tanya. The Lodge is a great little place with everything needed to be self sufficient for a classic Airbnb stay. There is plenty of walking from the front door as well as a pub within walking distance. Jon and Tanya were very accommodating hosts, would highly recommend!

What a beautiful cabin/shepherds hut and location. I booked a solo weekend getaway and travelled by train from London, getting a taxi from Woking. All easy. Hosts came to say hello and were super friendly and welcoming. I went on a couple of nice walks but could have easily hung around the cabin all weekend. Perfect for solo getaway or as a couple. We stayed 2 nights and loved every minute. From the moment we opened the front door and saw the beautiful quirky decor, we were sold. So much to take in, a feast for the eyes. Lovely little outside space, perfect for our little dog plus the bonus of a sauna. Outdoor shower which I do admit I didn’t use as not brave enough, but my husband did and said it was brilliant with lovely hot water. Perfectly situated for walking into town and to the beach. Would definitely recommend and would definitely like to return one day. Sarah and Matt are brilliant hosts that kept in touch regularly ensuring a seamless stay.

Chris was very informative and the check in was very easy. It’s a lovely place to stay in a very nice part of the country! Great views from the bedroom and a very nice bathroom! Thanks for having us!

We just spend a night at Tanya's and it was as described. She was very attentive and provide great recommendations.

The hut was gorgeous and they are amazing hosts. They left us a bottle of champagne, flowers and a balloon for my partners birthday. Amazing location as well!

The stay was truly fantastic, the host was amazing and the location was peaceful. The boat had just a lovely homely feel with buckets of charm or character. Would recommend to everyone

It was exactly as we expected. So peaceful and relaxing with Lovely surroundings and amazing wildlife. All you could hear were the birds chirping and the occasional woodpecker hammering away. Clare was really quick to respond to any question or query we had and we couldn’t fault her. We didn’t walk anywhere but we did get a taxi and the local firm turned up in 10 minutes. But we would recommend not leaving it last minute to book if you’re in a rush. We had a lovely afternoon wine tasting at the local Bolney wine estate and we also visited the cider tap which again we could not fault. Especially the Amazing pizza. We will definitely be staying again and can’t wait to get back chilling in the hot tub. Zee & Emily

We booked this place to visit various family members which were all located in Surrey and Hampshire. As we had a young Springador with us it was essential that there was a garden and the owners of the lodge very kindly have the whole garden available and she certainly made use of it. The walks from the door were very easy to follow and were various lengths and abilities so there’s something for everyone. On arrival there was a delightful homemade marmalade cake waiting for our attendance. That was and still is being dutifully attended to and that really was quite exceptional. The hosts were friendly and approachable and provided extra chairs for us as our son visited us one of the evenings. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at this Woodland Hideaway.

Miranda’s Bothy was a great place for me and my dog to have a couple of days rest. Sometimes you just need some peace and quiet and to be in the woods with bluebells everywhere! Everything was as described and incredible responsive with my last minute booking!

I absolutely LOVED this place, immediately regretted not booking another night & I’ve already booked another stay! After walking in the Downs, and along the River Ouse, I had a lovely afternoon exploring the quirky shops, the Flea Market, and a good few pubs in Lewes! Feeling happy-tired after all the walking (& a hefty pub lunch), I arrived at Michelle’s & found myself in utter peaceful bliss - the perfect place to relax & unwind. Loving it so, I quickly abandoned all plans of walking to The Five Bells. Instead, I got the enormous firepit ablaze & spent the rest of my night warming myself in front of the flames, with a bottle of Fizz, simply enjoying the sound of the bleeting sheep. With plenty of wood provided to burn well into the wee hours, I later found myself being serenaded by a hooting owl. Heaven! I eventually dragged myself to the comfiest bed imaginable & had the best night’s sleep. As if things couldn’t get better, I awoke on Easter Sunday to my very own lambs!! Perfection!

We stayed here for our anniversary. We was in need of a complete rest and this was the place to go! It is quaint, romantic and cozy. The shepherds hut was exquisitely furnished and catered to all our needs. The bed was very comfortable, lots of hot water and loved the little sofa and soft rug. The garden area is breathtaking, we did the 25 minute walk to the White Hart pub, nice home cooked grub, which takes you along the river and was so tranquil and also ate at the Queens Head where the food is posher and delicious. Loved using the hot tub especially in the evening with the pretty lights on and cooler air. Neighbours we’re abit noisy gardening next door and children trying to say hello so not quite as private as we thought it would be but it didn’t really detract from the whole experience. Would 100% return. We visited Wisley RHS on the way down, had 1 whole day chilling there and walking along the river and visited bluewater on the way back - just the perfect weekend away!

The chickens were the highlight for my toddler! Very quiet location, good parking, lovely coffee/ bread etc. Excellent host communication and easy check in!

We had the most wonderful stay at Janet’s Shepherd’s Hut for our anniversary! From the moment we arrived, everything was so easy and the hut itself was incredibly cosy. Janet went above and beyond to make our stay special, even leaving us a sweet anniversary card and freshly baked heart-shaped shortbread cookies. Waking up to the breakfast hamper in the morning made us feel like royalty - such a lovely touch. It was the perfect relaxing getaway, and we would absolutely love to stay again.

The cabin is lovely, spotlessly clean and with absolutely everything you could need for a comfortable stay - including provisions for breakfast. The real bonus is the very pretty garden with views over the park. The cabin is an easy walk into town and very handy for visiting local attractions, (Sissinghurst, Scotney Castle etc.). We were able to park right outside for the 3 nights we stayed). Lesley is a friendly host, with prompt, helpful communications. Would highly recommend!
